Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 143: Chapter 143 Kakashi picked up his chopsticks and prepared to eat ramen

Kakashi picked up his chopsticks and prepared to eat ramen. The Three Little Ones watched him closely, and Kano had a small pink camera hidden in her hand, ready to take a photo at any moment.

His fingers hooked the edge of the mask, about to pull it down.

The eyes of the three widened; they were about to see it... ”Kano-chan, you’re here! And Sasuke-kun!”

Ino suddenly pounced onto Kano.

”Get out of the way, Ino, we’re doing something serious right now!”

”Yo, Naruto, you’re here for ramen too. Ah, Younger Sister is here as expected.”

Shikamaru also came in and successfully entangled Naruto. Choji entered and took a seat as well, instantly blocking the trio’s line of sight.

Even though they pulled Choji away immediately, in that brief moment of being blocked...

Kakashi had finished his ramen.

Seeing it with her own eyes, Kano still felt it was too ridiculous. She felt Ino up and down, checking her inside and out to confirm she wasn’t Kakashi’s Shadow Clone.

”Kano, what are you doing? We’re still out in public!”

Ino punched Kano’s naughty little head, and only then did Kano stop.

Could this really be Kakashi’s conceptual skill?

”I’m finished. It’s getting late today. I won’t take any missions tomorrow so I can teach you Ninjutsu. I’ll head back first for today.”

After this commotion, Kakashi could see that The Three Little Ones had ulterior motives, but he couldn’t figure out what they were trying to do.

Only after Kakashi left did Ino speak up to ask.

”What on earth are you guys doing?”

”We wanted to take a photo of Kakashi’s true face and send it to his blind date partner. Your sudden appearance just now ruined our plan, and we didn’t get the shot.”

”Blind date partner?”

”Yeah, back when we went to the Land of Fire, a powerful big sister wanted to invite me to the Hidden Mist Village to hold a concert. I agreed on the condition that she goes on a blind date with Kakashi-sensei, and she agreed.

So now I want to take a photo to send to her, just so she knows what to expect.”

”Include us in such a fun thing too! Right, Shikamaru, Choji?”

”Sure, sure, sounds very interesting.”

”Sounds like a lot of trouble...” Kano glared at him, ”I get it, I’ll join.”

They successfully recruited three more people to join their group.

”Ah, found you. Kano!”

”Lady Kano!”

A couple holding hands found Kano; the newcomers were Gekkō Hayate and Yūgao Uzuki.

”It’s Kidney Deficiency—”

Naruto saw them first, and just as he was about to greet them, Kano covered his mouth.

It was too impolite to say ’kidney deficiency’ to a man’s face. Although Kano often called him ’Kidney Deficiency Man’ behind his back, she couldn’t say it to his face.

”Hayate-sensei and Ms. Yūgao, do you have something you need from me?”

”We came to thank you. We haven’t properly thanked you for saving Hayate’s life before, so we brought some gifts this time to thank you for your life-saving grace.”

”Ahahaha, you’re too kind, it was just a small matter.”

Kano accepted the generous gifts. They didn’t know what Kano liked, so they had prepared a precious and beautiful ornament.

At that moment, Kano looked at Gekkō Hayate and suddenly had a thought.

”Hayate-sensei, could you do us a favor?”

”Sure, no problem. What do you need me to do?”

Gekkō Hayate didn’t even know what it was yet, but he agreed without a second thought—after all, Kano was his savior.

Kano explained the matter of Kakashi’s blind date and the need for a photo.

”So I want to ask you to use your Transparent Escape to take a photo covertly.”

”No problem, leave the matter of taking a photo of Kakashi-senpai’s bare face to me!”

”Kano-chan, let’s just call more people. There’s strength in numbers.”

Kano thought about it and felt it made sense, so she decided to call all their friends together.

So everyone split up to call their friends. Before leaving, Kano gave everyone a final instruction.

”This matter must be kept strictly secret. Don’t let outsiders know, and definitely don’t let Kakashi-sensei know. Only tell those participating in the action.”

Naruto patted his chest and guaranteed:

”Don’t worry, Kano-chan, my mouth is as tight as a steel gate!”
