Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 147: Chapter 147 Sasuke disappeared into the night like this

Sasuke disappeared into the night like this. Kano did not want to stop him; this was his destined opportunity. In Konoha Village, Daily Missions would delay him, but at Orochimaru’s place, Orochimaru would treat him like a father. This was better than staying in Konoha Village, no matter how she looked at it.

Separation is for a better reunion.

As Sasuke left, he unexpectedly ran into someone. He had intended to leave quietly, but he ran into his second friend.

”Sasuke-kun, where are you going so late?”

”None of your business, Sakura.”

...”Shikamaru, eat quickly. Starting today, your father is also going out on a mission. Finish eating quickly and hurry out.”

Yoshino served Kano a simple breakfast and urged her to finish eating quickly and go out on her mission.

”Kano, just eat slowly. A Lady should chew slowly and delicately.”

The breakfast set before Kano was refined and abundant, featuring soup, fish, meat, eggs, salad, milk, pastries, and fruit.

Shikamaru was about to grab a piece of fruit when his mother smacked his hand.

”This is prepared for your Younger Sister. You can eat whatever she leaves.”

”Big Brother, I can’t eat all this. Take some and eat.”

Kano felt a little sorry for Shikamaru. There was nothing she could do; Kano was the cutest, the strongest fighter, the biggest earner, and the most likable person in the family.

In contrast, Shikamaru was a bit miserable. However, Kano didn’t always bully Shikamaru; she would still share good things with her biological older brother. She remembered to bring back treats for him, and of course, for Karin too.

”Karin, you eat too. Don’t be shy.”

”And Mom, you eat too~”

Kano personally fed her mother. This was the breakfast her mother had carefully prepared for her, and she was very grateful to her mother. This was something the other Little Orphans in Konoha Village could not experience.

Seeing the sensible Kano, her mother, Yoshino, was overjoyed.

Just then, a knock sounded at the door.

”Who could be knocking this early in the morning?”

Yoshino went to open the door, and Kano understood.

She didn’t expect Sakura to be the one to report it. She had originally wanted Sasuke to leave quietly, but now, great, there would be a battle again. Why was it overlapping with the Original Plot again?

Someone came early in the morning saying that Kano and Shikamaru needed to see Tsunade. Of course, Kano knew what was going on.

So Kano did not go.

”If Master Tsunade asks what I was doing, tell her I had something more important to attend to. I will explain to her when I return.”

”I understand. Be careful.”

Shikamaru didn’t know what Kano was going to do, but she was his Younger Sister after all, and he didn’t want her to run into danger.

Shikamaru went to the Hokage Office alone.

Seeing that Shikamaru was the only one who showed up, Tsunade frowned.

”Where is Kano?”

To be honest, she preferred Kano to come. If Kano came, the mission would certainly be more secure.

”She had something more important to do, so she didn’t come.”

”Alright then, the heavy responsibility for this mission falls on your shoulders.”

”Is it an Urgent Mission?”

”Last night, Uchiha Sasuke left the Village. It can be basically confirmed that he is heading to Otogakure.”

”Left? Why?”

Shikamaru was surprised. They had just been joking and pranking Kakashi together, so why did he leave without a word?

”Because he was lured away by Orochimaru.”

She hadn’t expected Orochimaru to still be alive. She had personally witnessed Kano beating him to death; even if Tsunade fully released the Yin Seal, she wasn’t confident she could withstand Kano’s Full Power Output. How exactly did Orochimaru survive?

”Wait! Why? I remember Kano telling me that she killed Orochimaru. How could he still lure Sasuke away, and Sasuke isn’t the kind of idiot who would fall for that.”

”Never mind the ’why’ for now, time is urgent. In short, I am now assigning you your first Chunin mission.”

”Just bring Sasuke back?”

”Yes, this mission is extremely urgent and could become very tricky, because Orochimaru’s subordinates are likely guiding Sasuke.”

”Then shouldn’t this kind of mission only be carried out by a squad composed of Jonin and Chunin?”

”Not right now. It would be fine if Kano were here. If she doesn’t participate, setting aside those necessary for defense, all the Jonin have already gone out on missions.”

”Within thirty minutes from now, you may freely draft any Genin you deem excellent to accompany you and leave the Village to execute this mission.”

”Although it’s troublesome, he’s still a teammate we’ve spent time with, so I can’t just ignore him. Forget it, even if something goes wrong, my Younger Sister will find a way to cover for me.”

Shikamaru immediately rushed to find his teammates and finally assembled a squad: Shikamaru, Choji, Naruto, Kiba, Neji, and Rock Lee.

The group got ready and waited at the Village entrance.

Just then, Kano appeared.
