Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 111: Chapter 111: You Just Lost Your Life, But My Skill Is Only on a Half-Hour Cooldown

Like an abyss of infinite falling, to break the Genjutsu, one must tear open the wrapping of the gentle land and face the bleak reality. If one does not tear apart the false illusion, they will fall infinitely downward, making it harder and harder to break free.

The more someone has unhealable pain in their heart, the harder it is to break free from this Genjutsu. In this tragic world, this Genjutsu is absolutely at the level of a Forbidden Jutsu.

This was why Kano discarded the name she had originally prepared and replaced it with a more fitting new name.

Falling Gentle Land.

[Quest Completion Reward: Genjutsu: Fragrant Teeth Ointment]

The quest was completed just like that.

The S-rank song—Falling Gentle Land—was finished.

”Tsunade!”

Due to the intense clash of battle, Jiraiya and Orochimaru failed to hear the Genjutsu. But Jiraiya still noticed things on this side; the two who were originally fighting fiercely suddenly stopped.

Tsunade was clearly controlled by Genjutsu.

How could someone of her level still be controlled by Genjutsu?

”Kano, what on earth did you do to her?”

”My original Genjutsu, the song I’ve been composing for so many days.”

”A Genjutsu capable of controlling Tsunade... I still underestimated you.”

Subsequently, while dealing with Shadow Hiruzen’s attacks, Jiraiya endured several Ninjutsu strikes to forcefully break the Genjutsu on Tsunade.

”This is? Nawaki? Dan? Am I having a nightmare again?”

Tsunade looked dazed after waking up. Jiraiya had never seen this kind of Genjutsu before; how could her mind still be unclear after the Genjutsu was dispelled?

”You were just in a Genjutsu. This is reality.”

Tsunade instantly cleared her head and understood that everything just now was Genjutsu, but she would rather believe that it was real.

”Kano, can you use that Genjutsu on me one more time? This time I’ll leave after saying goodbye!”

Looking at Tsunade’s tear-filled eyes, Kano knew that Tsunade had let go, so she did not continue to cast the Genjutsu.

”A beautiful dream isn’t for people to immerse themselves in, but to plant a seed in their hearts. Even after the dream dissipates, it leaves behind the courage to face difficulties. Dreams must always come to an end.”

Wiping away her tears, Tsunade stood up straight and shielded Kano.

”I didn’t expect to be lectured by my disciple at my age. Sorry, Kano, for all the things I did to you before. Now, you tell me—who should I beat up?”

”Tsunade, what is this? Have you been brainwashed?”

Originally, the three of them combined might have been enough to defeat Kano, so Jiraiya had used Orochimaru and Tsunade to control Kano first, absolutely unable to let anyone take her away. He thought about waking Tsunade up, but as a result, Tsunade woke up and was brainwashed by a single sentence from Kano, and her firepower was even greater than before.

”Jiraiya, have you gone mad? Helping Orochimaru deal with my disciple, are you looking for a beating?!”

Tsunade hadn’t noticed earlier; she was involved because Orochimaru promised her that as long as she assisted him in making Kano reveal the method to treat his hands, he would resurrect Nawaki and Dan.

And why was this fellow Jiraiya dealing with Kano?

”She might have participated in Orochimaru’s last attack on Konoha, and she might be the one who killed the Sandaime. Her Shadow Hiruzen is the evidence!”

”I don’t care who killed the old man. I owe her, and I’m going to help her today. Even if it’s you who dares to touch her, watch out or I’ll beat you!”

Jiraiya also knew he couldn’t win at this point, so he stood to the side dejectedly.

”Kano, I just want an explanation, not to harm you...”

”Shut up!”

Tsunade kicked Jiraiya away, and Jiraiya didn’t resist.

”You guys watch from the side for now. I’ll go deal with Orochimaru personally.”

Without Jiraiya and Tsunade, Shadow Hiruzen and Shadow Deer Tube quickly sealed that weakling Rasa again.

Orochimaru originally thought this operation was in the bag; how could just extracting some information fail? As it turned out, Kano hadn’t fallen into a disadvantage at all; instead, he was the one in danger.
