Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 29: Chapter 29 Kakashi felt that Kano’s words made a lot of sense

He casually threw out two Kunai, sticking them in front of Naruto and Sasuke. Then he taught them how to climb trees, checking their progress and ’encouraging’ them, before standing afar and watching slowly.

Both of them possessed a vast amount of Chakra, incomparable to Kano’s. If this training went smoothly, it would become a huge asset.

At this moment, Kano rode Shadow Deer over.

”Kakashi-sensei, teach me something else.”

”Okay, come with me.”

To avoid disturbing the two, Kakashi took Kano to a slightly distant open space.

”What do you want to learn?”

”I want to learn something that can make me stronger quickly.”

”Do you know your strengths and weaknesses?”

”Compared to the two of them? First, there’s Chakra. Their Chakra seems endless. Unlike you and me, who get exhausted after a few Ninjutsu.”

”I’m different from you because of the Sharingan; that consumes a lot of Chakra.”

Hearing someone say he was ’exhausted’, Kakashi got anxious. Kano had to change her words and continue.

”Alright, alright, I’m exhausted, I’m exhausted, okay? And then there’s the potential issue. Both of them can quickly become stronger when they encounter danger, right? Sasuke’s Sharingan, Naruto’s Nine-Tailed.”

”You know about the Nine-Tailed?!”

”Don’t make a fuss, it’s not a secret in the Village; you can find out by just asking around. Knowing your teammates’ information is very important; knowing yourself and your enemy ensures victory in every battle.”

Kakashi felt that Kano’s words made a lot of sense; only by fully understanding your teammates can you cooperate with them in battle.

Just like during the bell test, Kano was familiar with Naruto’s personality, so she didn’t tell him the plan but instead used his curiosity and whimsical nature to involve him in the plan.

This made Kakashi a bit worried that Kano might even investigate his past.

”Indeed, you are right. I’m curious, since you understand all this, how do you view Naruto and the Nine-Tailed?”

”Hmm... Naruto is a child who is so strong it makes one’s heart ache, making me always want to take care of him. As for the Nine-Tailed, I haven’t seen it, nor have I experienced the Nine-Tails’ attack. I can’t really comment on what kind of existence the Nine-Tailed is. The two are connected yet independent; I won’t have prejudice against Naruto because of the Nine-Tailed inside him.”

”You really are like an adult. Back to the main topic, if you want to become stronger, there are only three ways: exceptionally effective Jutsu, a body forged through a thousand refinements, and wisdom to strategize. And I can only teach you the first two. Your talent is so good, so I will teach you my ultimate move:’Sound of a Thousand Birds’, like thunder in your hand, its power is immense. How about it?”

Kano, however, looked uninterested and waved her hand.

”Lightning Blade? It’s noisy, requires close-range attack, and my inherent attribute is Water Release. No thanks, I won’t learn it.”

”Then I’ll teach you a powerful Water Release Ninjutsu – Water Dragon Bullet Jutsu. It’s a long-range attack with considerable power, and the water dragon is especially cool. How about this one?”

”44 hand seals? I’d probably die ten times before I even finish the seals. Its power can’t even kill people, it consumes a lot of Chakra, and it requires environmental water. No thanks, I won’t learn it.”

”Then I’ll teach you the true secret of Taijutsu – Eight Gates. It can activate the meridians, strengthen the body, and its amplification effect is extremely powerful. How about this one?”

”This requires powerful physical fitness, and after using it, my whole body will be uncomfortable. Opening the Gate of Death means instant death. I’m afraid of pain. No thanks, I won’t learn it.”

”You little girl, you won’t learn this, you won’t learn that. What exactly do you want to learn?”

”How about you teach me some Genjutsu!”
