Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Cross-dressing only happens zero times and...

But how did this task reward get upgraded? Kano felt that her weakling system didn’t seem like the kind of existence that could pull off such a high-level reward.

[Please do not call me a weakling system, I am the idol system ???! This was a favor from my senior, the Strongest Ninja System. The previous rewards were also exchanged with him. This time, he was the one who stepped in to help me upgrade the reward. Seeing me being put in a difficult position again, he proactively helped me upgrade it, and he’s even been guiding me on things I don’t understand. I’m so grateful to him ＼(◎o◎)／!]

”Is he really that nice? Did he not mention any conditions?”

[Senior did indeed make some requests. In exchange for helping upgrade the reward this time, he wanted me to agree to let him take me out to dinner this weekend. He helped me such a big favor, and yet he’s the one treating me to dinner; I feel a bit bad about it. How about I be the one to treat him to dinner this weekend instead? What do you think, host (///ˊ?ˋ///)?]

”I suggest you treat him to Malatang.”

Counting her previous life, Kano, who had been single for 40 years, really didn’t want to talk right now.

Kano now only wanted to grind the task and quickly get that Forbidden Jutsu that didn’t consume any chakra.

But what kind of dressing up would be considered qualified?

[Well, host, just look at the countdown next to the system. As long as the conditions are met, it will begin (?ω?).]

Kano looked at the task countdown in the bottom right corner of the system.

[365 days / 365 days (Paused)]

Kano was a bit distressed. She hadn’t worn a girl’s cute clothes since she was a child. She didn’t know how to dress up at all, and because she had been training in secret since she was young, she had never maintained her skin, which was covered in scars of all sizes.

Aside from her cute little face, her overall appearance could be described as below average.

She went all the way to the Ninja Academy and stayed there all morning without figuring out what to do.

At this moment, Ino saw that Kano actually wasn’t sleeping and came over to strike up a conversation.

”Kano, you actually didn’t sleep today; that’s quite rare. Want to go grab lunch together?”

The Yamanaka Clan and the Nara Clan had always been on good terms, and the families usually knew each other. It was just that Kano was relatively reclusive; she basically spent her days sleeping and didn’t interact with others, so she was only a bit more familiar with Ino.

”Sure.”

Kano took Shikamaru’s bento and followed Ino. Kano had been kicked out this morning, so naturally, she hadn’t brought a bento. But Shikamaru had; as an older brother, it was only natural to give his bento to his younger sister. (Even though she had already sneakily eaten half of it during class.)

There were a few other friends of Ino eating with them, but Sakura wasn’t among them.

Everyone was quite curious about Kano, not expecting her to be brought along by Ino. Kano wasn’t very good at dealing with young girls either, so she could only act like a little mute, stammering and hesitating.

”Ino, do you know how a girl should dress up? You’re so pretty, can you teach me? I want to become a bit cuter.”

After thinking it over, it would be better to ask for the girls’ opinions on something like dressing up.

Ino was a bit excited to see a reaction from Kano, and being praised by someone else satisfied Ino’s small amount of vanity. She lifted her slightly flushed face and spoke grandly.

”No problem! Come home with me this afternoon, and I guarantee I’ll make you look beautiful.”

The other girls also noticed that Kano didn’t have her usual expressionless face but was instead acting a bit bashful, her little face quite red.

”Do you have someone you like? Who is it?”

”A girl definitely only wants to make herself pretty because she has someone she likes.”

”It couldn’t be Sasuke-kun, could it?!”

Unsure who mentioned Sasuke, the eyes of several girls instantly widened, and even Ino’s expression froze.

Kano hurriedly waved her hands and shook her head, denying it.

”No, I don’t have anyone I like, and I don’t like Sasuke either. I actually like girls more than boys.”

As soon as Ino heard she wasn’t competing for Sasuke, they were good sisters. As long as she wasn’t dressing up to seduce Sasuke, it didn’t matter.

”No matter who you like, I’ll make you look beautiful and strive to make the person you like fall for you at first sight!”

In just one short day, Kano had built a good relationship with the girls and made plans to go to Ino’s house to play.

Time quickly reached the afternoon, and the Ninja Academy was dismissed.

”What a drag. Remember to come home before dark.”

When school let out in the afternoon, Kano gave a quick word to Shikamaru, who was hungry and looking annoyed, and then she followed Ino home.

”Now then, Kano-chan, take off your clothes first.”

Ino took out some clothes from a few years ago from the wardrobe. After all, although Kano was the same age as her, she was quite a bit shorter.

”Take off my clothes? Maybe I should forget it...”

Kano was a bit shy. There were at least three or four people here; anyone would feel shy about taking off their clothes while being watched.

”We’re all girls, it’s fine. The clothes you’re wearing are all men’s clothes; they’re so tacky they’re falling apart. You don’t want the boy you like to not see you as a girl, do you?”

Kano complained inwardly: I actually really hope they treat me like a brother.

”Also, take off these bandages wrapped around your arms too.”

”Your underwear is so tacky too, let’s change it all!”

The girls chimed in with their suggestions. Seeing that the bashful Kano was unwilling to take off her clothes, they simply stepped in to help her.

”No! ヽ(≧Д≦)ノ Yamete~”

Kano wanted to resist, but she was afraid of hurting them. Besides, she was the one who had proactively sought out Ino and the others for help. So, she half-heartedly complied.

”Hehe, saying no with your mouth, but your body is quite honest.”

”Wow, your skin is really good! I didn’t expect that under those usual bandages, your skin would be maintained so perfectly.”

Ino couldn’t help but exclaim. The fair, smooth skin felt like it could produce water with just a little squeeze. Even she, who usually paid attention to skincare, felt inferior.

Kano herself was also startled. What’s going on? Why is my body so clean? Where are the scars? She remembered that not only did she have many scars from training injuries, but her skin was also very rough from long-term tempering.

But as she looked at her palms, even the calluses on her hands were gone! Her fair little hands looked as if they had never held any weapon.

”Eh?”

”What are you ’eh-ing’ about? From your expression, it’s like you’re meeting yourself for the first time.”

Ino didn’t know what Kano was surprised about. Right now, they were only at the naked stage; she hadn’t even put on the cute little dress yet.

Kano was still immersed in shock, forgetting that she was currently being toyed with by the little girls like a dress-up doll.

Someone put stockings on her, someone combed her hair. A pink little dress was slipped on, and delicate little cloth shoes were put on. She was dressed like an exotic princess.

Ino even picked a few beautiful flowers from the shop and tucked them behind Kano’s ear.

Kano was so shocked her little mouth couldn’t even close. Was this still her?

When she first put on the dress, she only felt a draft between her legs, and just standing there made her want to die of shame. But looking at herself in the mirror, she had a change of heart—it was too embarrassing, but... it seemed a bit interesting... the feeling of the dress swaying and occasionally brushing against her thighs made her heart itch. Every time she saw those milky-white thin silk stockings on her legs, a current would surge through her body... Ino and the group of friends all nodded in satisfaction; this was simply the greatest work of art in Konoha Village!

Even Sasuke-kun would be moved if he saw this!

Fortunately, Kano-chan doesn’t like Sasuke-kun.

Before dark, Ino sent Kano back to the Nara Clan. Kano’s mother, Yoshino Nara, was incredibly pleasantly surprised! Originally, her daughter wasn’t doing well in her studies and didn’t like to dress up. As a mother, Yoshino had been quite worried, but now her daughter was dressed up like a little princess.

Standing before her, with her legs pressed together, pinching the hem of her dress, and turning away her flushed, shy little face, she was so cute one would want to eat her up.

It was a completely different style from her previous tomboy look!

Yoshino couldn’t have been happier!

”You’re the child from the Yamanaka family, right? Come in and sit for a while. Kano isn’t very easy to get along with; thank you for taking care of her.”

”Auntie Nara, I won’t go in. It’s almost dark, and I need to get home quickly. We also really like playing with Kano-chan.”

Ino soon bid farewell to Kano, and Kano waved back with a flushed face.

Kano didn’t expect that even at her age, she would still be this shy. She was hugged and rubbed back and forth by her own mother, and upon returning home, she shocked her father, Shikaku, once again. Back in her room, she also gave Shikamaru, who couldn’t stop laughing, a good beating.

Shikamaru laughed even while being beaten.

This is all for the Forbidden Jutsu. Endure it, I must endure it! I only need to suffer for one year...
