Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Showing Off a New Ninjutsu to Ino

[The instrument is in the system inventory. You can summon it whenever you want to use it, host, and put it back when you’re done (^_^).]

”You have a system space!”

[You didn’t ask before (;one_one). Besides, the previous two rewards weren’t mine, so they couldn’t be put into my system space. Only my own rewards can be stored here ┐(’～`;)┌]

”Alright then, I misjudged you. In that case, your system space is quite useful.”

Sensing the function of the system space, she could summon the hunting flute whenever she wanted. Moreover, she could feel that this hunting flute was incredibly convenient; no matter how far away it was, it could be instantly recalled to the system space and would appear in her hand when taken out again.

Kano immediately made an excuse to go to the bathroom and ran to an empty classroom. She took out the hunting flute to examine it closely.

The overall structure was a giant conch with a large stick inserted into its side. It looked like a large hammer, sharp at one end and flat at the other.

In reality, it was just a large hammer, and its usage was also to swing and bash.

However, it produced music when swung, and even when stationary, it could be played through the pipe near the handle at the end of the stick.

It just required quite a bit of lung capacity.

The conch was so large that Kano could even crawl inside. With her small body, she could only drag and swing it; she found it a bit too heavy to actually use for bashing people.

”As an Idol, the music I play must be infectious, making the fans feel immersed or fired up. Quick, issue a mission and give me a music-based Genjutsu or a music buff as a reward.”

With a thought, the hunting flute returned to the system space. Then, she began to think of ways to utilize her good system while walking back slowly.

[New missions won’t be out until tomorrow (＞dish＜). Wait a bit, I’ll go look for similar rewards; there might actually be something like that ( ?•ω•? ).?o?]

...Soon, all her companions finished their exams. Some were happy, others were worried.

Of course, only one person was worried.

Little Naruto sat alone on a swing, his head hanging low. The joy of the moment had nothing to do with him. Other children were immersed in the blessings of graduation and their parents, while he had nothing.

”It would be terrible if someone like that became a Ninja.”

”After all, that child...”

Kano felt a bit uncomfortable hearing the sneers of the adults around her. She hadn’t intended to meddle, and her father Shikaku had also warned her to have less contact with Naruto. She knew Naruto would be fine, but seeing him like this, she couldn’t bear to let him suffer alone.

Just like when she was younger and stepped in to teach the bad kids a lesson for him.

Simply because she saw it.

”Naruto, this is for you.”

Kano walked up to Naruto and handed him a piece of candy. As a child, she didn’t have any impressive gifts, so she could only give him the candy in her pocket as a comforting present.

”Kano-chan?”

”Don’t be discouraged. I believe you will definitely become an excellent Ninja. Isn’t your dream to become the Hokage? The Hokage has to respond to everyone’s expectations. Have a piece of candy to change your mood; you’re only cool when you’re optimistic.”

”Thank you, Kano-chan. I will definitely become a Genin, become the Hokage, and live up to your expectations!”

”Mhm, then I’ll see you in a few days.”

Seeing Naruto cheer up again, Kano left. She still had to use her Ninjutsu to show off tonight!

On the other side, two people took in this scene: the Third Old Man and Iruka.

”Iruka, I have something to say to you later.”

”Yes.”

...In the park, Kano, wearing a short skirt and white silk stockings, waited leisurely for her best friend.

”Kano-chan!”

”Ino, you’re here! Come, come, let’s go over to the small woods.”

After the two girls met, they walked together toward the secluded woods. Ino was already wearing her Headband, but it was tied around her waist. Kano imitated Ino’s way of wearing it and tied her Headband around her waist as well.

By now, the sky had grown a bit dim. Kano began to form hand signs very seriously, performing 38 signs in a row.

”Secret Art: Shadow Deer Technique!”

Kano’s shadow expanded rapidly, and a deer made of shadow jumped out from within.

”How is it? My Forbidden Jutsu is amazing, right!”

Aside from being pitch black like ink, the nimble little deer was no different from an ordinary deer; it even chewed on leaves randomly.

Kano patted the solid deer. She actually didn’t need to form hand signs, but she was afraid that using Ninjutsu without them would scare Ino, so she did it properly. Also, the name was chosen to fit the style of the Naruto World; otherwise, calling it Shadow Monarch would be too embarrassing.

”Wow, it’s solid! It feels just like a real one! Does it move?”

”Of course it does. It’s just like an ordinary deer.”

Kano then let the Shadow Deer move on its own. The Shadow Deer followed its instincts and began to eat grass, though it was quite useless.

”So amazing, it’s just like a real one.”

”Of course. And the Shadow Deer is very obedient; I can control it with just my mind.”

After saying that, Kano jumped onto the deer’s back and asked Ino to ride along.

”It can even be used as a mount!”

The Shadow Deer carried the two of them as it strolled slowly through the forest.

”This is so cool, it’s really obedient. Let’s go check over there, walk this way.”

Ino also excitedly began to command the Shadow Deer, and Kano naturally controlled it according to Ino’s requests.

”Can it run?”

”Of course, but if it runs, our butts will hurt a lot.”

While the two were playing with the Shadow Deer, an unexpected figure appeared.

”Kano, Ino, what are you doing here?”

A Ninja wearing a Chunin vest jumped down from a tree; the newcomer was actually the Ninja Academy teacher, Iruka.

”Iruka-sensei!”

”Iruka-sensei!”

Iruka seemed to be in a hurry and didn’t wait for them to answer before immediately throwing out a new question.

”Have you seen Naruto?”

Kano shook her head, while Ino asked concernedly:

”We haven’t seen Naruto. Did something happen?”

”A small situation occurred. If you’re fine, head home first. If you see Naruto, remember to notify me.”

After saying that, Iruka leapt away.

Only then did Kano remember that Naruto seemed to be stealing the Scroll of Seals today. She had been so busy playing with Ino that she forgot about it.

That was a major event, and Kano could even gain something special from it.

Although the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu was useless to Kano—since her Chakra reserves were too small for Shadow Clones—she could try to learn those Forbidden Jutsu later, such as the Flying Thunder God, or the Flying Thunder God, or maybe even the Flying Thunder God.

In short, Kano had already planned to make a trip there.

Kano and Ino obediently went back to their respective homes. Kano then quietly changed into a Nightsuit and left a shadow bug in the corner of her room.

Activated Shadow Exchange!
