Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 24: Chapter 24 Kakashi then opened his eye, preparing for a duel with Zabuza

Hearing ’Sharingan’, Sasuke frowned and looked at Kakashi; that was a Bloodline Limit that only some members of their clan possessed. Could it be that Kakashi... ”Sorry, hand over the old man quickly.”

”You guys form a Manji formation and protect Mr. Tazuna.”

Kakashi then opened his eye, preparing for a duel with Zabuza. Zabuza marveled at the power of the Sharingan and explained what it was amidst everyone’s confusion.

Zabuza jumped onto the water, forming a seal with one hand and pointing to the sky with the other.

”Hidden Mist Jutsu.”

A thick mist suddenly formed, making it so that even five meters away, only a blurred human figure could be seen.

Zabuza had completely disappeared from sight.

The enemy was in the dark while they were in the light. This was a huge crisis for the entire team.

Before everyone lost their nerve because of the mist, Kano took a step forward and shouted to the others:

”I’m a Sensory Ninja, I’ll find his location!”

Sasuke nodded, understanding. Naruto, however, was confused; hadn’t Kano-chan said she wasn’t good at sensing?

Kano took out the hunting flute; the giant instrument was even more exaggerated than Zabuza’s kubikiribōchō. She formed hand seals and blew into it using the Wind Release she wasn’t very good at!

The ethereal, high-pitched sound echoed like ocean waves.

Zabuza was also someone sensitive to sound. Was that little girl a Sensory Ninja who used sound? Or was it based on echolocation? This really countered his Hidden Mist Jutsu.

Not three seconds after the flute sounded, the great sword whistled through the air, piercing the mist and heading straight for Kano’s neck.

In a team fight, take out the support first. Without their Sensory Ninja, they would surely be picked off one by one by Zabuza!

The kubikiribōchō fell.

Clang! Metal clashed, and sparks flew!

”As long as I’m here, don’t you dare think about hurting Kano-chan!”

Although his words were cool, how could Naruto possibly withstand the kubikiribōchō? He was sent flying immediately.

It was during the less than a second that Naruto delayed that Kano immediately crouched down, using the large conch of the hunting flute to cover herself.

Zabuza’s great sword fell again, hacking heavily at the hunting flute, determined to cut through the conch and the person inside together.

To his surprise, when the sword hit, not only did it fail to destroy the conch, but the blade even bounced back!

”This conch is too damn hard!”

Sasuke also seized the opening and attacked from behind. Zabuza instinctively prepared to grab Sasuke, but he didn’t notice a shadow touching his own.

”Shadow Binding Technique!”

Although Zabuza could break free with a bit of effort, in that split second, Sasuke pierced his heart.

”Got him!”

In his moment of triumph, Sasuke saw that what was flowing out along the Kunai wasn’t blood, but water!

”What!”

”Too late, brat! Die!”

The Water Clone turned into a puddle of water, and then Zabuza attacked from behind!

A figure flashed by, and a Kunai stabbed through Zabuza from the front.

”I won’t let any of my comrades be killed.”

”So cool!”

Naruto, who had climbed back up, ran back to Kano’s side. Kakashi’s words also eased the tense atmosphere.

”Kakashi-sensei, watch your back!”

Kano called out a warning, and Kakashi also noticed that water was flowing from the wound he had inflicted.

”Die!”

The kubikiribōchō split Kakashi in two, but what splashed up was water!

Water Clone Technique! No way!

”Don’t move. It’s over.”

For a moment, the whole field was silent.

Everyone stared intently at the two of them, except for Kano, who continued to prepare her killing move! The three Shadow Ninjas had already moved into ambush positions where Zabuza might escape, and the Shadow Binding Technique was fully activated, unlike before when she had intentionally held back.
