Chapter 318: Chapter 317: Americans Want to Save the World Too?

It only took a moment, but Fang Zheng quickly found his target below the clouds. There were two transport planes, followed by a helicopter. He had to admit, seeing this combination was quite surprising. He had roughly understood the technological level of this world, which was about on par with the 1980s and 1990s. This was also another reason why the armies of this world had suffered such defeats against the Fire Dragon Horde.

Not to mention in the sky, where compared to the clumsy transport planes, fire dragons clearly had the upper hand in every aspect, resulting in the surviving humans being too afraid to fly again. But now, here were two military transport planes and an armed helicopter, which truly astonished Fang Zheng. Knowing the firepower of the transport and the helicopter, just a couple of fire dragons could have sent them to fish at the bottom of the sea, so where did they get the courage and confidence from?

And who exactly were these guys?

Fang Zheng curiously looked towards the military transport planes, and soon, he spotted the Bald Eagle and the Stars and Stripes on the fuselage.

Americans?

Seeing this, Fang Zheng huffed lightly.

The Americans also want to save the world?

“Yah—! Yah—!”

Compared to Fang Zheng, the Little Fire Dragon seemed more interested in those flying metal chunks, continuously making “yah yah” sounds, and showing an eager demeanor. It was not surprising, considering that Fang Zheng and the Little Fire Dragon hadn’t encountered anything in the sky besides fire dragons up to this point, so it was normal for the Little Fire Dragon to be curious about these flying metal boxes.

“Alright, let’s go have a look, but be careful.”

While speaking, Fang Zheng cast Invisibility and a Magic Shield on both himself and the Little Fire Dragon. Although he did not think these humans could harm him, the Little Fire Dragon was tender and delicate, so it was better to be cautious. If anything went wrong, it would be troublesome.

Having cast the spells, Fang Zheng, holding the Little Fire Dragon, silently flew above the transport plane. At this moment, the Little Fire Dragon became excited, wriggling out of Fang Zheng’s hands, and with a “whoosh,” spread its wings to dance in the air, flying towards the transport plane.

The Little Fire Dragon had been following Fang Zheng for half a month now, and its body had grown quite a bit, but compared to ordinary fire dragons, it was still too small. Even so, the little one had already started learning how to fly. Of course, due to its weaker body compared to its kin, the Little Fire Dragon’s endurance was a big issue; it could only last in the air for up to two or three hours before having to return to Fang Zheng.

As for Fang Zheng, he wasn’t particularly concerned. He wasn’t one of those animal trainers, nor did he have to specifically cultivate the Little Fire Dragon’s hunting abilities. In fact, Fang Zheng had already decided that once he had plundered enough Power of Time in this world, he could turn the Little Fire Dragon into his Enchanted companion and take it back to the Heavenly Dao Palace—Nanali had been complaining about the lack of small animals here, so a little Fire Dragon should be enough to satisfy her.

“Yah—! Yah—!”

At this moment, the Little Fire Dragon had already flown close to the transport plane, calling out excitedly, as if trying to communicate. Unfortunately, since the plane did not have a loudspeaker, no matter how much the Little Fire Dragon called out, there was no response.

However, Fang Zheng already sensed that the people inside the transport plane were terrified. They even picked up their weapons and kept peering out of the windows. Sadly for them, because of the Invisibility Technique, they could not see the Little Fire Dragon at all.

“Yah—!”

Perhaps feeling angry because the transport plane was not responding, the Little Fire Dragon tried hard to fly next to it, then gently bumped the transport plane with its head. With this sudden bump, the people inside the transport plane hurriedly sat back down and fastened their seat belts.

“Yah—? Yah—?”

Maybe because the transport plane did not respond, the Little Fire Dragon felt a bit disheartened. After bumping its head against it and realizing the plane was only slightly shaking and not interested in “chatting,” the Little Fire Dragon lost interest and returned to Fang Zheng, whimpering a few times. Its message was akin to “Daddy, the little friend won’t play with me,” before snuggling back into Fang Zheng’s embrace.

“Alright, let’s go.”

Although Fang Zheng was curious about who might be aboard the transportation aircraft, he had discovered that in addition to soldiers, there were tanks and armored vehicles inside, which could not be compared to the ordinary settlement residents he had previously encountered. Thus, Fang Zheng had no intention of interacting with them. From his experiences along the way, he knew that once humans got guns in their hands, they became overly confident and dared to say and do whatever they wanted. Fang Zheng had more than once killed such idiots who believed they could play the hero by attempting to take him down, and now that these individuals even had tanks and armored vehicles, Fang Zheng was even less interested in entangling with them.

So, Fang Zheng took one look at the two transport aircraft and then turned around with the Little Fire Dragon, flying away towards another direction.

The number of Fire Dragons was increasing.

When Fang Zheng arrived in Manchester with the Little Fire Dragon, the first thing he saw was hundreds of Fire Dragons perched among the city ruins, like a swarm of crows. And when these Fire Dragons became aware of Fang Zheng’s arrival, they immediately screeched and took to the air again, rushing towards him.

Ah, these creatures really have low intelligence.

Watching the horde of Fire Dragons fly toward him, Fang Zheng sneered within him. He had realized that these Fire Dragons had a strong sense of territory, and they seemed to identify their kind through a special kind of sensation. This was why, even after Fang Zheng had killed hundreds of Fire Dragons, he never received their “kin treatment.”

Of course, the Little Fire Dragon was an exception, but Fang Zheng suspected that it followed him because the first person it saw when it came out of its egg was him; otherwise, who knows what might have happened.

Although these Fire Dragons were not the brightest, their keen beastly senses were particularly strong. If Fang Zheng exerted his Dragon Might, they would turn tail and run without regard for their dignity. Thus, for hunting, Fang Zheng usually concealed his Dragon Might and waited until the Fire Dragons took the bait before he unleashed his Dragon Might to bind them, making them easier to attack.

Just like this.

“Whoosh———!!”

As the hundreds of Fire Dragons swooped towards him, Fang Zheng suddenly spread his wings, and immediately, an unsurpassed momentum burst from his massive body, radiating outwards in all directions. The Fire Dragon Horde covered by the Dragon Might suddenly froze, then, they desperately tried to flee.

Unfortunately, it was too late.

The Power of Time had already bound their bodies. Their movements were now as slow as snails, the invisible air and time around them entangling the hapless prey like a spider’s web, no matter how they struggled, they could not break free.

Observing the hundreds of Fire Dragons before him, Fang Zheng let out a cold laugh, then raised his head high, taking a deep breath.

“Hoo—————”

The Power of Time began rapidly draining from the bodies of the Fire Dragon Horde, their strength, their lives, and all that proved their existence, all vanishing with the passage of time. Then, Fang Zheng opened his eyes, looking ahead.

“Boom———!!”

A pitch-black storm instantly burst forth from his mouth, mercilessly sweeping over the bodies of the Fire Dragons. In the blink of an eye, the dragons were reduced to skeletons, plummeting to the ground.

“Ah… it’s still not enough… It seems just eating vegetables really won’t do, you need to eat the main dish to feel full…”

Feeling the condensed Power of Time within his body, Fang Zheng frowned. It seemed he had to find that legendary Chief Dragon, otherwise, merely absorbing the Power of Time from these Fire Dragons was unlikely to be enough.

With that thought, Fang Zheng turned his head and glanced over at the clouds not far behind him, then spread his wings and flew off into the distance.

Within the clouds, an armed helicopter hovered, its occupants staring intently at the departing black silhouette.

“Is that the Earth Guardian from the rumors?”
