Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 310: Chapter 309: So I’m Not Being Human Again?

Chapter 310: Chapter 309: So I’m Not Being Human Again?

“Ooooh…….”

He didn’t know how long it had been before Fang Zheng finally opened his eyes again.

“This is really unlucky… What bad karma have I created…”

While muttering quietly to himself, Fang Zheng shook his head. He now felt a burning pain all over his body, as if his body had been torn apart… Wait? When did I grow taller?

Fang Zheng opened his eyes and realized that his point of view seemed a bit off. This visual height… was almost three or four meters now!

Could it be that he had turned into a giant?

With this thought, Fang Zheng lowered his head to observe his body. But what he saw next was a huge body covered with scales.

“………”

Fang Zheng slowly turned his head to look behind him, and what entered his eyes was a pair of pitch-black, huge wings, a massive body, and a long tail…

Wait, what the heck is this? What have I turned into?

In a hurry, Fang Zheng shook his body a bit to stand up. Luckily, his control over this body was quite good. Although it felt awkward, he quickly got used to this strange body. He walked to a nearby pond and glanced inside. However, upon seeing the reflection therein, Fang Zheng was completely speechless.

The reflection in the pond wasn’t that of a human.

It had a massive mouth, with a tough exoskeleton made of the black Zerg armor that seemed like armor wrapping around both sides of the head, similar to a knight’s helmet. A pair of huge, reptilian-like golden eyes emitted a profound and mysterious aura.

Two sharp horns stretched backward and curved at the top, resembling the size of a tower shield; scales like scale armor covered the massive body. The wings that stretched out from both sides of its back were not similar to a bat’s but rather, resembled bird wings. However, the parts that should have been covered with feathers were now layered with sharp and elongated scales like blades. A tail several meters long coiled around the body like a snake, and at the tip of the tail, there was a sharp spike, similar to an arrowhead.

Well, no matter how you looked at it, this was a dragon.

“…………”

Seeing this scene before him, Fang Zheng was utterly speechless.

What’s going on? Am I really not human anymore?

Fang Zheng could feel that his current state was actually an “Awakening” state of the Perfect Body, although previously his awakened form resembled a demon, but now…

This body seems to be more than ten times bigger! Fang Zheng roughly estimated that his current body was at least ten meters long!

What the heck is this?

Thinking this, Fang Zheng hurriedly summoned the system, and indeed, he was surprised to find an update notification flashing in front of him on the Dimensional Codex’s system.

So that’s it!

After seeing the system’s notifications, Fang Zheng finally understood what was happening. There was a Dragon Race bloodline called “Time Dragon” inside the “Eye of All Phenomena,” and Fang Zheng had the ability “Time Manipulation.” Perhaps it was the resonance between these two abilities that led to this transformation. To absorb such a bloodline, an extremely powerful integration ability was required, thus the Zerg’s “Gene Absorption” was specifically mentioned as coming into use.

That’s why it turned out this way.

After absorbing the bloodline of the Time Dragon, Fang Zheng’s mind also filled with extensive knowledge about the Time Dragon, thereby finally understanding what the Eye of All Phenomena was all about.

It turns out it really was the eye of a Time Dragon!

Fang Zheng’s memories inherited from the Dragon Race told him that the Time Dragon was a very special type of dragon. Its connection with time was so slight that it could entirely transcend the flow of time and live as if time were tangibly embodied. It possessed the power to freely manipulate and control time, and could become increasingly formidable as it grew.

Not only that, but the growth method of the Time Dragon was also different from other dragons.

The rest of the Dragon Race would find a spot and sleep for hundreds or even thousands of years and, during this process, they would gradually grow and enlarge, transforming from hatchlings to juveniles and then to adult dragons.

But the Time Dragon was different.

This starts with its Dragon Breath.

All dragons have Dragon Breath, but the Dragon Breath of the Time Dragon was truly unique. Its Dragon Breath was of two types, one was “Breath of Plunder” and the other was “Breath of Exile.”

Honestly speaking, after Fang Zheng sensed these two gifted abilities, he realized that his previous development of time powers was merely at a kindergarten level.

First, let’s talk about the “Breath of Plunder.” This was a terrifying type of Dragon Breath. When a Time Dragon targeted and breathed on someone, the time of those enveloped by the Dragon Breath would be plundered by the Time Dragon at the rate of (1 year X the age of the Time Dragon). That is to say, if the Time Dragon was one year old, the creature enveloped by the Breath of Plunder would lose a year of time, which would then be absorbed by the Time Dragon.

Conversely, if the Time Dragon was a hundred years old, then the creature enveloped by the Breath of Plunder would instantly lose a hundred years of time.

Therefore, this meant that once enveloped by the Time Dragon’s Breath of Plunder, the unfortunate victim was facing not merely -1S, but at least -1Y!

The “Breath of Exile” was equally terrifying; it would directly exile the targeted creature from the present time until the duration ended before they could return. That meant if Fang Zheng did not want to see someone for two hours, he could just hit them with a “Breath of Exile,” and that person would not exist in the world for the next two hours. Only after two hours would they reappear.

What was more fatal was that these two types of Dragon Breath couldn’t be resisted or immunized through exemptions! This meant that, unless the enemy possessed some powerful artifact or magical item that could isolate and protect, they’d just have to wait and get hit by Fang Zheng’s -1Y, -1Y, -1Y….

It was precisely the unique characteristics of the Time Dragon’s Dragon Breath that determined their unconventional growth method. Once a Time Dragon used “Breath of Plunder” to seize enough time, it could find a place to use up these “plundered” times to grow. Importantly, since the Time Dragon’s connection with time was so faint, time itself couldn’t bind its growth to a fixed pattern, leading to entirely “random” growth.

Just like a Top-up Ten-Pull, if the Time Dragon was unlucky, it would merely achieve a guaranteed success and grow from a hatchling to a juvenile.

But if it had an explosive surge in Dragon Might, then a hatchling could possibly grow into an adult dragon, an ancient dragon, or even a primordial dragon after just one growth spurt!

This was incredibly powerful!

Fang Zheng had never imagined that there could be such an unreasonable type of dragon in the world; one whose growth depended on sheer luck! Was that even possible?

As a member of the Dragon Race, the Time Dragon also possessed its own Dragon Might and gifted abilities, namely “Dragon Tongue Surge.”

Dragon Tongue Surge allowed a Time Dragon to borrow a period of time from the future once every day. This wasn’t borrowing in the sense of a “Time Stop” but was a real increase in time. That is, for an ordinary person, there were only twenty-four hours in a day, but for Fang Zheng, he could have forty-eight hours each day. And these forty-eight hours were not imaginary; they were real.

Regarding the ability “Eye of All Phenomena”, after acquiring the Time Dragon’s knowledge, Fang Zheng also knew what it was about.

The Time Dragon could travel at will through the flow of time, and this meant it could project any segment of time into this world at will. If the Time Dragon so desired, it could directly intervene and transform this “undetermined” period of time into a “reality” that truly existed here.

Of course, this was a power only the Primordial Time Dragon possessed, and Fang Zheng finally understood why he could not use the Eye of All Phenomena, but the Dragon Lich could.

The reason was simple, he was not of the Dragon Race, but the Dragon Lich, even though transformed into a Lich, was still of the Dragon Race!

Although not a Time Dragon and unable to fully utilize the Time Dragon’s power, as a fellow species, it could at least activate a part of it, which explained the strange appearance of Soul Bay.

As for the gifted ability “Enchanted Transformation”, it was also a very good power for Fang Zheng. Its essence was to use the Time Dragon’s power of manipulating time to infuse ten thousand hours of time into the body of a specified weak being, in simple terms allowing the target to instantly gain the power of “Evolution” and “Refinement” after ten thousand hours, and since this power was dominated by the essence of the Time Dragon, the target would also become his enchanted being.

For Fang Zheng, this was significant because, according to the memory of the Time Dragon, enchanted beings were directly created through bloodline. Conversely, this also meant that enchanted beings would not take up Fang Zheng’s summoning slots but become his true subordinates. For Fang Zheng, currently short on manpower, creating a few enchanted beings seemed like a good option.

“Well, no matter what, this power is also very good, but the problem is…”

Fang Zheng shook his head and wagged his tail.

He already knew that the Time Dragon was powerful, but now, for Fang Zheng, there was an even more important issue.

His “Power of Time” was insufficient, and he simply could not change back.

“I must find a place, and then plunder the Power of Time…”

The memory of the Time Dragon in Fang Zheng’s mind told him that his current bloodline power was that of a fledgling, and he must at least reach the young dragon stage to regain his human form. So where could he plunder the Power of Time?

The Main World… definitely not, the Free World, well… World of Shana wouldn’t work, Ironblood World wouldn’t either, as Fang Zheng was not strong enough to fly in the universe or physically contend with a warship. Cicada’s Song and Black Soul were out of the question… and now, there was still a long time until he could embark on the next world, so that left him with only…

“It has to be this way.”

Fang Zheng looked at the Dimensional Codex in front of him; the Dimensional World was not yet time to lift the seal, and among the “Mind-Skill-Body” three worlds, the “Mind” world of Cicada’s Song and the “Skill” world of Black Soul were not suitable, so that left him with the “Body” world, which he had never visited.

I hope this world will allow me to plunder enough Power of Time.

With this thought, Fang Zheng sighed helplessly, then he clicked on the “Body World” button.

The next moment, a beam of light suddenly appeared, quickly enveloping Fang Zheng. Moments later, the beam of light burst with a “pop”, turning into specks of light that dissipated into the air.
