Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 438: Chapter 363: Seven Nights of Wishing (Triple-Length Chapter)_4

Baimu: ”Ehehehe... Don’t rush, there’s still something unclear.”

After making a goofy face, he looked at Lei Gong and pointed his lips at the last basketball-sized rock. The latter didn’t smash it with his claws as before but gently pushed it, making it sway back and forth.

”What does that mean?”

Baimu looked at Lei Gong, who was looking back, a bit puzzled, ”What is this?”

The latter shook his head.

”You don’t know? You don’t know why you’re keeping it...”

His gaze swept over the Fire Stone and Fire Gem, suddenly saying, ”Wait, is this what you actually wanted me to buy?”

”Roar~”

Lei Gong slightly nodded in affirmation.

This sparked Baimu’s interest, and he took a picture to send to Laisa, ”Do you recognize this?”

After waiting a few seconds without a response, he began to investigate it himself slowly.

Lei Gong was equally curious about the thing provoking his subconscious reaction but refrained from smashing it because—

”It’s so hard!”

Baimu muttered to himself, holding a small hammer.

His hit barely chipped off a small part of the rock’s surface, and it seemed like there was more within.

After hammering a few more times, the outer layer of the rock progressively shattered, revealing a jagged, jet-black crystal.

”This look...”

Baimu stared blankly at the crystal, as if recalling something, but couldn’t remember quickly, and promptly sent a photo to ask Laisa, who replied just then.

Laisa: ”!!!”

Laisa: ”Try and see if you can break the rock open a bit.”

Baimu: ”(Picture)”

Laisa: ”Ah! That’s it! What luck do you have! This is Jirachi in slumber!”

”—Ah!?”

Baimu looked at the crystal in his hand in shock, memories of the movie ”Seven Nights’ Wishing Star, Jirachi” resurfacing, and the image of Jirachi crystallized after sleeping gradually matched with the thing in his hand.

But he felt a pang of regret.

Because Jirachi had awakened once years ago, unless this Jirachi is different from the one Ash Ketchum and Xiaosheng saw in the movie.

That’s not impossible.

When Ash travels to Unova, he had encountered a second Jirachi in the Jackola Islands. This integration between the movie and the main series in this animated world suggests multiple Jirachis exist.

However, Chimney Mountain is quite near to where the Seven Nights Wishing Star took place—Fains, suggesting the middle-aged man might’ve picked up this Wishing Star from Fains.

”Can you hear me?”

Baimu knocked on the rock, but didn’t get a response.

It’s said that Jirachi only comes to the ground during the seven days when the Millennium Comet arrives and chooses a boy with a sufficiently pure heart as a temporary partner.

In the movie, Jirachi chose Xiaosheng.

The one Baimu encountered wasn’t responding, unsure if it was in a deep sleep or if his heart wasn’t pure enough.

The Galarian Corsola on his shoulder felt a bit envious upon hearing Jirachi could safely sleep for a thousand years. It couldn’t sleep that long; once its energy reserves were used up, it would come out to ”forage.”

”Also can’t sleep that soundly!”

The Galarian Corsola appears to sleep for a long time, but its sleep is actually shallow; most of the time, it simply stares blankly.

Otherwise, it wouldn’t respond so quickly to the Trainer’s words.

Can’t help but think too much.
