Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 421: Chapter 358: Final Quasi-God (Triple-Length Chapter) (Part 2)

Yasha quickly got the answer she wanted.

Or rather, the opportunity Baimu was waiting for came to her in just a few seconds.

”Roar!”

The Zweilous took a deep breath, and both heads roared simultaneously at the spinning Magcargo, the deafening white sound waves rolled forward, scattering all the incoming sand!

The spinning Magcargo couldn’t evade and was suddenly turned into a beam of white light, flying into the Pokeball at Yasha’s waist.

Then.

The next Pokémon was forced to appear prematurely.

”Mukku!”

The Slugma, like a magma slime, landed. Yasha instinctively reached near her waist, although Slugma Meige was the Pokémon she had initially decided to release.

But after realizing Baimu was hard to deal with, she had wanted to bring out her ace, Torkoal, in the end.

Unluckily, because she couldn’t switch the originally planned Pokémon in time, Zweilous’ unexpected Roar caught it.

The sudden situation gave her a fright.

Not far away, Baimu revealed a joyful smile, having hidden the new move brought by the level-up until this moment, undoubtedly for this very instant.

Because.

Slagma Meige’s known Trait is—

[Molten Rock Armor]!

”Dragon Dive!”

”Heywoo!” ”Heywoo!”

The Zweilous roared and charged forward, letting the sand whip against its body relentlessly, as the tops of its two heads lit up with a blue glow, rapidly enveloping its entire body.

In a flash.

The roaring twin-headed Energy Giant Dragon took shape, radiating terrifying momentum and charging at Slugma!

Faced with such an unexpected appearance, the latter was momentarily intimidated by the horrific aura, showing a few timid expressions, but fortunately, Yasha’s shout resounded timely.

”Overheat!”

As the Energy Giant Dragon came to a halt in front, Slugma’s body magma rolled violently, and the radiant white light gathered in its mouth formed a terrifying high-temperature heat stream, crashing forward. The surrounding air twisted, colliding with the Energy Giant Dragon!

Boom——!!

The earth-shattering explosion sound accompanied by dazzling white light, a translucent shock wave shook towards all sides, dispersing all the swirling yellow sand, causing Baimu and Yasha to instinctively raise their hands to shield themselves. The former’s coat corner flapped wildly, almost turning into a cloak.

A massive cloud of black smoke formed a small mushroom cloud, rising at the center of the field, engulfing everything visible around.

At the referee’s stand.

The seasoned Mura stood his ground, completely unaffected by the smoke.

He was extremely pleased with the performances of both sides.

A Pokémon’s response greatly determines the tacit understanding between it and its Trainer. Whether it was the timely Shadow Clone and Light Wall of Magcargo, the first-response opportunity seized by Zweilous, or Slugma’s last-ditch response—

All were enough to prove the excellence of both as Trainers.

Especially his granddaughter Yasha.

At some point, she had fully embraced the important lessons he taught her—the Gym Leader’s responsibility was not to win one or two battles, but to teach challengers something new in ruthless combat.

To help other Trainers verify their strength and find where their opponent’s shortcomings are and move further.

This is what makes a qualified Gym Leader.

Thus.

The Gym Leader is like a test-giving teacher, creating all sorts of troublesome questions for Trainers to solve.

At this moment, discovering that intermediate-level questions couldn’t stump Baimu, she decisively brought out her ultimate challenge, striving to make the opponent scratch their heads in frustration.

Even if the planned questions were swapped, there was no panic or confusion, reacting extremely quickly.

Leaving the Gym to Yasha was indeed the right choice.

The light faded, the giant sound vanished.

The sandstorm, without a subsequent energy source, was also dispersed by the explosion shockwave.

Mura looked towards the challenger’s seat and immediately saw that Baimu seemed to be waiting for something, his eyes were unfocused, and then he suddenly shouted loudly: ”Shattering Bite!”

The old man was shocked, and distant Yasha, whose vision was completely obstructed, was equally stunned.

Giving blind commands without seeing the exact condition of her Pokémon or the opponent’s Pokémon is a very elementary mistake. Why would the usually outstanding Baimu—

Could it be!

They both looked inside the field, glaring as two bloody lights lit up in the smoke, followed by two simultaneous explosion sounds, and the strong whirlwind shockwave dispersed the smoke, exposing Slugma being blown away to both of their sights.

While the Zweilous stood in the small crater created by the Energy Shock, continually emitting thin streams of white smoke, yet in extremely good condition.

Mura was extremely amazed as he looked at Baimu.

How on earth did he know that Zweilous wasn’t blasted away by the explosion, and even remained beside Slugma to continue the attack?

Trust? Guesswork?

Or... was it the result of observation?

Compared to the puzzled Mura, Yasha’s face was full of seriousness. She watched Slugma fall to the ground with a thud, trying to give a command, ”Self-Rebirth—”

Unfortunately.

What was presented in front of Yasha was Slugma’s spinning eyes, and she swallowed back her command.

The Overheat as her ultimate secret skill was undoubtedly the correct choice to deal with the previous scenario, yet it couldn’t overcome the Zweilous’ Dragon Dive.

Even though Slugma may not be as strong as Torkoal, it’s still one of her main Pokémon!

Not only that, after the clash, it was actually Zweilous that initiated the attack first. Was it her lack of trust in Slugma? Perhaps she should have given commands as Baimu did amidst the smoky haze...
