Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 431: Chapter 361: Meteor People (Triple Combo Chapter) _4

”Speaking of which, weren’t you chasing a Rocket Team member riding a Salamence during the day? I might have encountered her when I returned, and you definitely won’t guess her true identity.”

Baimu caught up with its pace and proactively talked about Xijana.

”...”

Lei Gong heard this and felt even less inclined to deal with this unfortunate child with a hole in his head.

Why is he so happy to have an encounter with Rocket Team?

No one expected the next words from Baimu to cause its steps to pause.

”She’s not actually part of Rocket Team; she’s from the Meteor People! Do you know the Meteor People?”

”Roar?”

Lei Gong slightly tilted its head, its eyes widening, clearly starting to pay attention to what he was saying.

Taking advantage, Baimu continued to tell Lei Gong about things that had happened earlier, along with his so-called lineage as a descendant of the Meteor People Dragon Tamer.

Even though he didn’t feel much connection to this identity, the people around him labeled him with it, linking him closely with the Meteor People.

As long as it didn’t cause any trouble for himself, he wasn’t too concerned with these matters.

After all, he already had many identities.

Lei Gong listened to the entire thing, looking at Baimu with a bit of a peculiar expression in its eyes. To be honest, it hadn’t thought this little ghost had such a complicated identity.

It had thought he was just a pure Trainer.

And the Rocket Team member he was pursuing was actually impersonating a Meteor Person... No wonder she’s so good at hiding.

It’s not that Lei Gong looks down on Rocket Team, but the fact is, while Rocket Team holds core Black Technology, there are indeed many underlings, and fewer elite members.

Since the Rocket Team member’s identity had been confirmed, there was no need for it to continue the pursuit.

It lay back down by the bedside, its head resting on its crossed paws, closing its eyes for a nap.

Baimu looked at the lazy big cat, showing a bit of hesitation on his face.

At this point in time.

The Rocket Team Base in Lavaridge Town had resolved, and Lei Gong’s external wounds had mostly healed, suggesting that the time for farewells might be approaching.

But he felt somewhat unwilling to part.

He had just scratched its chin, and hadn’t even touched its belly yet.

Baimu gazed at this big cat he was quite fond of, thinking about the imminent goodbye, and his heart became somewhat tangled.

Of course.

He was well aware that the Lei Gong before him, as a member of Ho-oh Guard, continuously seeking trouble for Rocket Team for world peace, held strong will and beliefs, so he never expected it to fight solely for him.

It’s just...

Too brief.

It hasn’t even been a week!

Seeming to sense Baimu’s rather forlorn gaze, Lei Gong slightly tilted its head, lifting its eyelids to glance at him.

How could it not be aware.

After understanding the Rocket Team member’s true identity, one less reason remained for staying by this little ghost’s side, and its gradually healing wounds seemed to urge it to leave quickly.

But recalling these recent days, Lei Gong realized it was difficult to take that step.

The days during the day too.

Some mysterious force urged it to return here.

However, Lei Gong is well aware of the reason for such actions; reducing contact with humans over the years was precisely because of this—

Bond.

Though it is not Baimu’s Pokémon, and Baimu is definitely not its Trainer. Yet, the bond gradually formed from getting along doesn’t need a Pokeball to build.

Lei Gong naturally often thought of this guy as a foolish little ghost who only knew how to touch randomly. In reality, though, it recognized Baimu’s talents as a Trainer during their interactions and realized he needed a stable environment to grow.

Therefore, afterwards, it felt a bit regretful for almost dragging him in.

Luckily, Baimu hadn’t been implicated yet.

Lei Gong also knew very well that no matter the reason, it was time for it to choose to leave, but... but,

Let it stay just a little longer.

Even if it’s the last night.

”Roar...”

Lei Gong’s eyes closed slightly, listening to Baimu’s occasional voice beside him, with a heart full of tranquility and peace.
