Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 401: Chapter 350: Legend of Thunder (3-in-1 Mega Chapter)

However, he didn’t have the right to interfere with what others were doing.

What truly caught Baimu’s attention was the Drifloons, who suddenly seemed very anxious. They began tugging on his arm as if they wanted to lift him into the sky, but this time their intention wasn’t to scare him; they wanted to take him away from there.

The expressions on these creatures made him think of something unpleasant.

In the distance, within the dense jungle, a group of people on dirt bikes was approaching with laughter, accompanied by many Golbats and Crobats. Their eyes occasionally emitted a dark beam, locking onto the wild Pokémon fleeing in different directions.

They laughed as they threw fine, dense nets at the wild Pokémon, trapping them in place and then ignoring them.

Using nets instead of Pokeballs — those people were certainly the ones.

Most likely, the captured Pokémon were to be retrieved later.

”Pokémon Hunters...”

Baimu clicked his tongue, feeling like he had been running into villains a lot lately... Well, not too often, but it had been several days between encounters.

There were actually two reasons Pokémon Hunters didn’t use Pokeballs to capture wild Pokémon.

First, Pokeballs have a chance of failing to capture, and they need to hit the ground, shake, and then flash for a moment to confirm whether the Pokémon has been successfully captured.

Second, the switch on the Pokeball has a piece of black technology called the registration system, which automatically records the Pokémon’s information. If there is also a Pokémon Atlas, it will automatically transfer any excess Pokémon over six to the person who issued the Atlas.

Overall, using a net is more convenient and quicker, especially when an electric device is used inside. Nine out of ten Pokémon can’t handle it.

Of course.

In Baimu’s view, it also relates to these people’s poor accuracy in throwing Pokeballs.

As the saying goes, two fists can’t beat four hands. Although he had a mind to take them down on the spot, he didn’t intend to confront them head-on. After all, he wasn’t like Ash Ketchum — that idiot.

The Drifloons being so anxious was finally explained.

Turns out they escaped from Pokémon Hunters, which he hadn’t expected they could do.

”Hide.”

He instructed Porygon not to come out from the phone, and pulled the Drifloons to hide behind a large tree, the raised roots of which conveniently surrounded him and the Drifloons on three sides.

If the Pokémon Hunters didn’t look closely, they likely wouldn’t see them.

If they did see them...

Baimu pulled out two Pokeballs, wondering about his chances of winning against four people and four Pokémon at the same time. As long as he could successfully disarm them, the odds were not low.

Most Pokémon Hunters had many Pokémon, and they might even have a Quasi-God.

But their combat power was rather pitiful; otherwise, they wouldn’t resort to being Pokémon Hunters. They stood a better chance of a future focus if they were dedicated to being Trainers.

While he was pondering, the engine sounds drew very close and, along with eerie cries seemingly coming from right beside his ear, flew past at an outrageous speed, fearlessly risking a crash.

Baimu clung tightly to the Drifloons and aimed his phone camera steadily ahead, eyes fixed on those Crobats most likely to spot them.

Fortunately.

No one noticed him and the Drifloons hiding in the shadow of the tree.

As the Pokémon Hunters arrogantly moved away, Baimu led the Drifloons out of the tree hollow, decisively deciding to call the police.

After ending the call, he looked towards where the Pokémon Hunters were headed, feeling a bit hesitant.

Being in such a remote forest, Officer Jenny and her team might not arrive immediately, and police vehicles are always loud. With the Pokémon Hunters’ alertness, they might flee at the first hint of them coming.

He didn’t call the police just to let the Pokémon Hunters get away.

It might be better to inform the Forest Ranger here, letting them make the call; they likely have more experience dealing with such situations than he does.

Baimu opened the electronic map for a look. It marked that the Forest Ranger’s Cabin was nearby, unfortunately... the Pokémon Hunters also came from that direction.

”No way?”

He released the Drifloons’ strings from his hand and told them, ”You should leave here quickly, fly higher so you won’t be seen by the Crobats and those people.”

Having said that.

He headed in the direction of the Forest Ranger’s Cabin.

”Hmph...”

The Drifloons left behind exchanged glances and didn’t flee as Baimu had instructed; instead, they followed in his footsteps. Knowing how formidable the Pokémon Hunters were, they were concerned about the human who fed them.

Once Baimu figured this out, he didn’t say much, leading them to untie the trapped wild Pokémon.

He discovered, as he suspected, that these Beast Trapping Nets did have electric discharge devices. Cutting or dismantling them without the proper key would trigger them.

Moreover, if they were destroyed, it would alert the Pokémon Hunters.

It seemed somewhat more advanced than the nets used by Rocket Team.

But in front of a little trickster like Porygon, they were no match. It could easily disable the device without even alerting the Pokémon Hunters. Before Baimu could say anything, it had already entered and disarmed the device.

— All because it could connect to the internet.

As long as it was something connected to a network, Porygon could get in seamlessly, quite similar to Rotom.

The only difference might be that Rotom just needs electricity, while Porygon requires a network signal.

”Hide, and don’t make a sound.”
