Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 417: Chapter 356: Secret Base 3

But the fierce thunder was easily dodged by the Salamence carrying a person.

”You’re so fierce, I don’t really mind—”

The black-haired girl crouched down, revealing half of a spiral anklet, but her peripheral vision suddenly caught sight of the startled Yasha not far away. She couldn’t help but feel annoyed, ”Sigh... There’s someone involved, looks like I can’t battle you with all my might. See you next time, Lei Gong!”

”Roar!”

The Salamence roared once, dodging another strike of thick lightning, and flew rapidly towards the distance.

The speed was astonishing.

Lei Gong watched the distant black-haired girl and Salamence, intending to pursue them but also noticed Yasha and the Slugma sitting on the ground, then suddenly looked towards the foot of the mountain as if sensing something.

”...Roar!”

It gave a rather annoyed growl, smartly jumping away.

Yasha barely regained her senses and hugged the Slugma beside her, ”Meige... what exactly happened just now? Was the red text on that uniform Rocket Team?”

She turned her head to look at the fake wall not far away and gasped, ”Is there a Rocket Team secret base here!?”

However.

Just as Yasha was about to go in to verify.

She noticed her grandfather Mura’s Wingull flying from the sky not far away, followed closely by a young man appearing at the foot of the mountain, accompanied by a rather cute Blissey.

”Ah! Challenger!”

Yasha quickly realized the other’s intention, glanced at the fake wall, gritted her teeth, and did not leave.

Though innocent people shouldn’t be involved, what if there were other Rocket Team members inside? She had to quickly investigate inside; as for the challenger... she’d have to let him return to the Gym and wait.

That was her thought.

But when she turned again, she saw that the young man’s speed was extremely fast; before long, he had arrived right in front of her.

——

”Hello, Hall Master Yasha. Did something happen here just now? I think I saw Lei Gong jump over here.” Baimu greeted politely.

”Ah... Um... It’s like this.”

Yasha forced a smile, ”Sorry, are you a challenger? I can’t accept challenges right now, can you return to the Gym and wait? Hey! Not over there!”

She shouted in alarm.

Unfortunately, Baimu had already reached into the fake wall, confirming that there was a secret base here.

”What’s wrong?”

Baimu turned his head, a bit puzzled, looking at Yasha.

This woman with her ponytail exploding like flames had a diagonal bang sometimes covering her right eye, dressed in a crop top and bell-bottoms despite the heat, with her Pokeballs all hanging on her back waist, making one curious how she solved eating issues.

”That place is a secret base of a crime organization, it’s dangerous. I don’t recommend touching it at random!” Yasha took a deep breath, her tone suddenly calming down.

”Okay.”

Baimu withdrew his hand.

He didn’t have the ability to see through the fake wall at a glance, but he could deduce from the Thunder’s claw marks on the ground that there was a ghost here, so he tried reaching in and the secret was revealed.

As for this so-called crime organization secret base... it should be Magma Team’s, right?

He remembered in the Emerald version, Magma Team’s base was at Chimney Mountain, while the base outside Shuijing City was completely Watercraft Team’s.

Did Lei Gong come to find trouble with Magma Team?

Baimu thought about the Salamence that flew out at the start, and due to the distance, he couldn’t make out who was being carried by the latter.

”Can you tell me which crime organization’s secret base this is? So I can be cautious.” He said with a smile to Yasha.

Yasha hesitated a bit but still shared what she observed.

”It’s Rocket Team, you might not know...”

”No, I know.”

Baimu was briefly taken aback and quickly said, ”The crime group rampaging in Kanto and Johto, right? Is this their secret base in the Hoenn Region?”

”Um... I saw someone in Rocket Team uniform rushing out; Lei Gong was precisely pursuing that person.” Yasha nodded, adding, ”In fact, you might not know, Rocket Team was active in the Hoenn Region three or four years ago.”

Does she mean the Rocket Team trio?

Baimu remembered Yasha’s Slugma evolved into Magcargo during a battle against the Rocket Team trio.

Only he hadn’t expected the master of this secret base to actually be Rocket Team...

Could Lei Gong have come to Lavaridge Town before?

Suddenly.

Baimu looked at Yasha and asked:

”Are you planning to go in alone? Isn’t this dangerous?”

He remembered this lady didn’t even have a phone handy, thinking she couldn’t notify Officer Jenny, and tried to get him to leave here, clearly intending to risk herself.

”Did you notify Officer Jenny?”

”Um...”

Yasha’s body stiffened, quietly moving her gaze away from him, saying, ”I’m just going in to have a look, it won’t be a big issue. After all, I’m a Gym Leader.”

Baimu was silent, pulled out his phone a few seconds later, and said, ”Why not first notify Officer Jenny and let them send reinforcements? What do you think?”

”...”

Yasha was silent, implicitly agreeing.

Soon.

Officer Jenny of Lavaridge Town brought a large number of police officers to the foot of the mountain to understand the situation with Yasha the Gym Leader.

Baimu had no choice but to leave.

While he was certainly curious about what was going on inside the base, Officer Jenny would definitely not allow an ordinary person to casually enter such a dangerous place; he could only descend the mountain.

But before he left, he was promised by Yasha herself that they could engage in battle at Lavaridge Gym in the afternoon.

Overall, it was not a wasted trip.

Returning to town.

Baimu headed straight for the hotel without thinking.

Upon opening the door.

Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows connected to the open-air hot spring pool, Lei Gong was still soaking in the pool like before he left, only the towel on its head had disappeared.

He feigned a doubtful expression, slowly approaching, then asked, ”Did you go out just now?”

”...”

”I saw your thunder.”

”...”

”Go find the Rocket Team base on Chimney Mountain? How did you discover that place? Have you been to Lavaridge Town before?”

”...”

”You’re pretending to be deep, huh.”

Baimu looked at Lei Gong, which was always unresponsive, and said, ”Why won’t you tell me? It’s not like I can’t help you; even if my combat ability is lacking, I can manage other areas, right?”

Lei Gong slightly opened its mouth and lazily yawned under his expectant gaze.

As if expressing indifference towards him.

Baimu: ”...”

Suddenly feels like hitting a cat, what to do?
