Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 343: Chapter 34: Sickly Boy (Triple-Length Chapter)_4

Doesn’t that mean Xiaoyou (Yuuki) also exists?

Despite Xiaoyou appearing several times in the film opening, it’s still hard to believe when he doesn’t show up in the main film like Kenta.

He twitched his mouth and searched for Mann Chong’s name on his phone, surprisingly finding an entry. It showed Mann Chong was the runner-up at the Ever Grande Conference two years ago.

And the Champion—

Undoubtedly Xiaoyou.

The iconic white headgear and ace Swampert proved it.

That is to say, Xiaoyou set off a year later than Ash Ketchum and Xiaoyao but won the Hoenn Region Ever Grande Conference Champion, while Mann Chong, competing with him, got the runner-up.

Baimu was filled with various complex emotions.

Honestly, not being able to compete on the same stage with these ”game protagonists” makes one a bit disappointed. After all, a fierce rival can also be considered a driving force for growth.

He was about to turn off his phone when he saw Mann Chong’s cousin Aman cheering for him and advertising the family-run guesthouse in a video.

The video was published about three years ago, with very few views.

... What a coincidence?

Can’t be the Lucky Scale exerting its power again.

Anyway, he’s looking for a place to stay, might as well check it out.

With this thought, Baimu found Aman’s guest house based on the address in the video. The coffee-colored door was wrapped with clusters of vibrant flowers, and there was an open sign hanging outside.

He pushed the door and entered.

”Welcome!”

A somewhat weak and neutral voice sounded.

Baimu glanced around and was surprised to see Mann Chong whom he just met.

This guy’s voice wasn’t much different from Master Bao, filled with a delicate boyish charm. He was holding a broom, cleaning the place.

However, don’t be fooled by his one-punch-and-would-cry-for-a-long-time look. In fact, he debuted as the runner-up of the conference...

”Hello.”

Baimu nodded, ”I’d like to stay here; do you have any available rooms?”

”Yes, yes!”

Mann Chong quickly ran to the front desk, ”What kind of room would you like to book?”

As set, he’s a very polite young man.

Baimu said: ”I’d prefer a suite with a kitchen. Do you have one here?”

”Sorry! We don’t have rooms with a private kitchen!”

Mann Chong abruptly bowed, almost startling him, ”But, there’s a communal kitchen...”

”...A communal kitchen is fine too, how high is the room?” he continued asking; if the room’s ceiling isn’t high enough, living with Aggron might be uncomfortable.

After some negotiation.

Baimu finally got the room key from him, the price was quite reasonable.

To his surprise, the room adopted a Neon-style design, with paper screens and tatami mats, and a corridor that opens up to a garden.

”Are you satisfied?”

Mann Chong, who was leading the way, cautiously asked.

Baimu’s expression was quite strange, pointing to his own nose, ”Do I look fierce?”

”Of course not!”

Mann Chong shook his head in panic.

”Then why speaking as if I might hit you at any moment, being so timid?” After dealing with Mann Chong initially, he felt the boy was somewhat inexperienced.

”I’m just worried about not providing good service to the guests.”

With a shy smile on his face, Mann Chong suddenly bowed ninety degrees, ”I’m very sorry!”

Baimu: ”...”

Speechless, a young woman in a dress suddenly ran over with an apologetic smile, ”I really apologize, this is my cousin, he just started helping to look after the shop recently. Please forgive us for any inadequacies.”

”No, the service is quite thoughtful, just needs to muster up more courage and raise the voice.”

Baimu looked at her, ”Are you the owner here, Aman?”

”Yes!”

”I hope for your continued hospitality in the coming days.” He nodded to both, ”That’s it for now, you two.”

Click.

The door closed.

Aman and Mann Chong exchanged glances and both breathed a sigh of relief.

The former smiled: ”Looks like you can already entertain guests on your own! Well done, Mann Chong!”

”Hehehe...”

Mann Chong shyly scratched his hair.
