Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 314: Chapter 311: Trait Exchange

The electromagnetic waves spread forward, forming circle after circle of round light wave patterns.

And under the puzzled gaze of Gastrodon and Mira, it did not fall on the former, but instead formed a bright orb above its head, releasing a strong and dazzling flash.

Bang!

The electromagnetic wave exploded, turning into countless silver snakes dancing wildly, and the slightly dim field under the gloomy clouds suddenly became extremely bright, like a flash grenade tearing through the darkness!

Because of curiosity and excessive attention, both Gastrodon and Mira were successfully blinded for a short time, either shaking their heads or rubbing their eyes to try and regain clarity.

Vivian’s excited voice echoed through the venue.

”Unbelievable! It turns out the electromagnetic wave was just a bait move! Gastrodon and Miss Mira who took the bait unfortunately got hit!”

The scoreboard immediately deducted Mira’s score.

Finally waiting for the blindness to disappear, Gastrodon and Mira found Chansey already quite close, visually only four or five steps away.

The sense of urgency made her shout:

”Water Fluctuation!”

A gleaming blue water ball quickly formed in front of Gastrodon, rushing towards the latter, yet Chansey’s body lit up with a faint pink glow first.

”Trait Exchange!”

The pink glow entered Gastrodon’s body, extracting something from within, and then entered Chansey’s body.

Bang!

The Water Fluctuation blossomed like a flower, forming rolling waves that hit the latter, causing no harm to Chansey who acquired the ”Water Attraction” trait.

The water flowed like winding water snakes surrounding Chansey’s body, some of it entering its body, boosting its special attack.

What a magnificent scene!

Ingeniously using the opponent’s offensive to enhance oneself!

Even though Chansey appeared a bit immature, it still caused Mira’s score to deduct nearly one-third; she was originally slightly ahead but was now completely overwhelmed.

Even the rain falling from the sky seemed to be attracted to the former, creating a thin layer of shimmer for it.

”Sing!”

”Yawn!”

Both sides ordered simultaneously, Chansey cupping its hands and singing a moving tune, with multicolored notes jumping out like elves.

Meanwhile, Gastrodon nearby suddenly opened its mouth wide, releasing a huge yawn along with a milky white airflow.

The airflow collided with the colorful notes, then all surged towards the sky, exploding continuously into a splendid fireworks mixed with white mist!

Unfortunately, Gastrodon’s yawn obviously did not last as long as Chansey’s singing.

Although most of the notes were blown into the sky, more colorful notes leaped out with its continuous singing, fluttering gracefully around it, and hit Gastrodon’s head.

Pop!

A single note exploded on its forehead, causing it to show a sleepy appearance.

Before long, Gastrodon drooped its limp head, abruptly entering a sleep state.

Mira’s face flashed with anxiety, her score was deducted again, leaving her with less than half, while Baimu was only deducted a little over a quarter!

With intentional control by both sides, less than two minutes were left.

Is all lost?

”Gastrodon, wake up quickly!” she shouted, hoping to rouse Gastrodon with words.

The latter’s body trembled slightly, seemingly responding to the trainer’s voice.

But before it could wake up by itself, Chansey had already extended a ”Helping Hand” to it under Baimu’s command.

”Healing Bell!”

Ding ding~ ding ding~

The soothing bell sound echoed around the venue, transforming into waves of green light that released towards Gastrodon, coming from the maternal-looking Chansey.

”Egg Regeneration!”

Mere healing of abnormal status was not enough, Chansey kindly raised a light mass from its abdomen, placed it into Gastrodon’s body, restoring its deprived strength.

Mira was shocked rather than displeased, turning to the large screen to see her score being deducted heavily!

Undoubtedly.

It was the rescue actions displaying Chansey, this Pokémon’s unique personality, whether it’s caring for Pokémon or sharing ”eggs.”

”Mr. Baimu skillfully displayed Chansey’s unique personality! Miss Joy looks very satisfied!”

Vivian’s voice rang out.

”Mount Tai Pressing Down!”

Mira, looking at the little remaining time, visibly showed more panic.

However, how could Chansey let Gastrodon land a hit? As soon as the latter leaped up, the long-awaited spiritual power surged forth, locking onto Gastrodon’s body.

”Telekinesis!”

Gastrodon’s body lit up with blue light, forcefully frozen in mid-air.

Mira’s score was deducted again.

”Move! Use the Power of the Earth!”

She shouted in vain, unable to make Gastrodon move at all; after accumulating the ground attribute energy with difficulty, a piercing whistle suddenly sounded from above the venue.

Beep——!!

”Match ended!”

Vivian swung down her arm holding the microphone.

Chansey, seeing this, hurriedly placed Gastrodon from mid-air down.

The latter slowly crawled to the trainer’s side, dejected and bewildered.

On the large screen.

Both sides’ scores were clearly visible.

One score deducted a quarter, while the other was left with a barely detectable amount.

In the next instant.

Baimu and Chansey’s avatars occupied the entire large screen.

”Successfully entering the finals is—Mr. Baimu!”

Vivian’s voice brought waves of cheers from the audience.

Patistan went on the mic: ”Wonderful performance, not only flexibly using moves that originally had no effect, but also successfully leveraging the opponent’s traits to gain an advantage. Brilliant, brilliant.”

Liu Lai flicked his hair, ”Subarashii~”

Miss Joy smiled broadly, ”Being able to witness such fluid rescue actions in the gorgeous battle truly delights me!”

Baimu and Chansey bowed together to thank the audience and judges.

——

In the contestants’ passage.

Baimu, on his way out with Chansey, was suddenly stopped by Mira.

”Your Chansey performed excellently, but next time I won’t lose to you so easily.”

She extended her hand.

Baimu saw her fairly friendly gesture and shook it lightly, asking: ”May I ask why you didn’t use Milotic?”

”Why else? Of course to counter your Mawile.”

Mira sighed, ”Who could foresee that you’d have such a strong Chansey by your side, the Trait Exchange directly wiped out the advantage I built with Gastrodon.”

”Haha.”

Baimu smiled lightly; in fact, he only acquired this move from simulations a couple of days ago, causing Deino to exhibit signs of evolution, and the Trait Exchange made the path of the Gorgeous Competition tilt towards him.

It’s hard to say this wasn’t due to the Lucky Scale having an effect.
