Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 308: Chapter 305: Smoky Rain and the Lei Tree

It wasn’t long.

A large screen showed Xiaoguang in a light blue gown taking the stage.

Confidently, she raised her right hand and tossed the Pokeball she held!

”Pachirisu! It’s up to you!”

Bang!

White light appeared, two smooth ribbons of water blue light swirled upward, creating a beautiful spiral encircled by sparkling white light dots.

Then.

The water blue ribbons twisted and swayed, transforming into a large bow that shimmered brightly in mid-air.

Pachirisu rolled at the center of the bow, and when it stopped spinning, it raised its little paws and shouted energetically toward the audience!

”Chii!”

Bang!

In an instant, countless blue bolts of lightning spread out with its cry, shattering the blue ribbon and forming a huge, dazzling blue firework!

Pop, pop, pop, pop—

The sky was filled with fireworks rain, how beautiful!

And Pachirisu, tumbling down, used its soft, large tail as a cushion, landing lightly and perfectly.

”Chii!”

It smiled and waved its little paws.

”Look! Pachirisu’s electricity brought out the sticker’s effect perfectly!”

Vivian praised enthusiastically.

The audience showed joyful expressions; this was far more interesting than the previous interactive performances.

At least visually, it was satisfying.

The smile on Xiaoguang’s face grew wider, and she ordered again:

”Angel’s Kiss!”

”Chii~”

Pachirisu blew a kiss to the air, sending several hearts soaring and enlarging quickly, and then it began to swing its large tail to hit them toward the sky!

Boop, boop, boop~

With the rather cute sound effects, the large hearts transformed into many smaller hearts, floating like balloons into the sky!

The little hearts collided in the air, exploding into even more, and smaller hearts, nearly filling the whole sky.

”Now, use Discharging!”

”Chii!”

Blue currents quickly leaped from Pachirisu’s Electric Storage Bag in its cheeks; then it tilted its head back and shrieked, sending countless thick blue and white bolts of lightning raging toward the sky!

”This is——”

Vivian’s eyes lit up as she watched the lightning, like dancing serpents, chase after the high-flying hearts; the flickering currents instantly shattered the little hearts, turning into a multicolored rain of fireworks!

Boom, boom, boom—

But the performance wasn’t over yet.

Continuing to discharge electricity, Pachirisu saw the sky’s lightning forming branch-like networks, gradually shaping into a vast blue tree; faintly, even the top branches seemed to take shape, each sparkling ”leaf of thunder” like a lantern.

Coupled with the countless fireworks exploding in the sky, there was an indescribable beauty.

In that moment.

Fire trees and silver flowers illuminated the celestial star-filled sky!

The audience was struck by the picturesque view, naturally smiling.

After a short while.

The fireworks came to an end, and the tree of thunder returned to Pachirisu’s body.

Together, Xiaoguang and Pachirisu bowed in thanks.

Thunderous applause erupted from the audience, accompanied by cheers and awe, demonstrating their fondness for the performance.

Patistan grinned joyfully, as if having watched a show that left him wanting more, ”An amazing performance, Pachirisu’s cuteness and mastery of thunder was exhibited perfectly, even from its subtle actions you could sense its joy, and its fluffy big tail was well-utilized. Although only two moves were used, this combination was a success...”

Before finishing his words.

The microphone’s sound was cut in the studio, not out of disrespect for Patistan, but once he got going, he wouldn’t stop.

Beside him, the charming Liu Lai silently picked up the microphone, unbuttoning his collar suavely and leaning back.

”Su! Ba! La! Shi——!!”

The roaring call came from his twisted mouth, with just four syllables, yet each one expressed his fondness for the performance.

Xiaoguang couldn’t help but feel a bit awkward; she had never seen this type of judge before.

Finally, it was Miss Joy’s turn.

”A captivating performance, Pachirisu’s adorable nature is deeply imprinted in my mind!”

She always carries herself gracefully, whether facing participants of the Gorgeous Competition or Trainers bringing injured Pokémon.

”Please, judges, score the performance~”

Vivian gestured.

Beep, beep, beep.

9.8/9.8/9.8.

A total of 29.4 points, not perfect, but Xiaoguang was immensely satisfied with such a score.

”Chii!”

Pachirisu cheerfully glanced back at her, the two exchanged smiles and gently high-fived.

——

Preparation room.

Baimu greeted Xiaoguang with applause.

”Magnificent! Pachirisu’s performance was truly exquisite, and succinct too.”

Many Coordinator Trainers use numerous moves to connect for more splendid performances.

But this results in longer durations and higher error rates.

Of course, it’s not saying using more moves is against the rules or inferior; it’s just that he prefers concise beauty.

When designing performances, he often strictly limits himself to using only three moves, if the duration is too short, he lengthens it in other ways.

For example, dancing.

”Thank you~”

Xiaoguang, beaming with happiness, hugged Pachirisu with Piplup at her side.

Sinnoh’s Gorgeous Competitions basically don’t do scoring, so after performances, participants are left in suspense for hours, unsure if they will advance.

Hoenn’s scoring system for the Gorgeous Competition, in Xiaoguang’s view, is a great and encouraging rule.

Currently, her score was undoubtedly the highest; unless a group of twenty-nine points suddenly appeared, she was definitely assured.

”Good luck, now it’s your turn!”

Xiaoguang cheered for Baimu.

He replied helplessly, ”You’re cheering too early; I’ll probably go on in the last hour.”

”Eh—”

Xiaoguang was completely caught off guard that his turn was so far back.

The Gorgeous Competition, due to many participants, has an advantage for those who perform early; the judges aren’t bored yet, their mentality is better.

Now, with the heat and the elongated event judged by people, it’s harder to score high as time goes on.

Baimu saw the order and almost thought his second appearance was destined to flop.

However.

He believed Mawile could surely surprise the judges weary of aesthetics.

”Are you hungry? It’s lunchtime, I’ve prepared lunch.” Baimu said to Xiaoguang.

Xiaoguang’s eyes brightened, then she felt a bit embarrassed.

Her companion hasn’t performed yet, was eating lunch so casually a bit inappropriate?

”Eat, it’s made for that reason, plus I’m not nervous. My task is simply to present Mawile’s efforts from these days to the judges, nothing more.”

Baimu responded lightheartedly.

Seeing this, Xiaoguang began joyfully eating the sandwich he made.

Piplup and Pachirisu also dug in enthusiastically.

”Pocha, pocha...”

”Chii, chii...”

Baimu released Mawile, asking if it wanted to eat some before the competition, but it resolutely shook its head.

”Fido~”

Empty stomach is best before dancing.
