Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 318: Chapter 315: Homeland of the Soul

For the Zweilous, who had just gained eyesight, everything around it seemed incredibly novel.

The descending sunset at the edge of the sea.

The laughter-filled Pokémon.

The rough, dark-colored beach and sand grains, the deep blue tide that kept rising and retreating, the bright neon lights in the distance, the lush greenery.

It had never seen so many colors and never knew the real appearance of the world.

Everything it sensed through smell and touch was abstract, and with its poor imagination, it couldn’t sketch out such a colorful, beautiful world, unable to touch the reality.

But now.

All of this was reflected in its eyes, including the person standing not far away.

The appearance was very unfamiliar and had quite a few differences from the image Zweilous had in its mind, but overall, there wasn’t much difference... yes, not much difference!

Zweilous convinced itself of this and then rushed to the Trainer like a young swallow returning home!

Even though it was seeing the Trainer’s appearance for the first time, relying on that familiar scent, Zweilous recognized who it was without any effort.

”Hey, woo—” ”Hey, woo—”

Huh?

Why are there two voices?

Zweilous was slightly taken aback and its head involuntarily turned towards the source of the sound, instantly seeing a strange fellow to its left/right!

”Hey, woo?” ”Hey, woo?”

It abruptly braked, tumbling onto the ground due to inertia, flipping over with its feet up, in a quite sorry state.

But honestly, it was more concerned about who was sticking so close to it!

Struggling to get up, it let out a threatening growl at the unknown ”fellow” next to it, attempting to intimidate it into submission with its roar, only to find the ”other” was also roaring at it!

This time, Zweilous couldn’t hold back its temper, letting out a howl as it lunged to bite the ”other”!

”Stop! Stop!”

Just as it was about to bite down.

The familiar voice of the Trainer made Zweilous halt its actions. It had always gotten used to prioritizing the Trainer’s commands over its own will, so even if a strange fellow was sticking so close to it, it still stopped.

”Hey, woo~” ”Hey, woo~”

Zweilous looked at the Trainer coming over, with a somewhat plaintive voice, wanting him to offer his hand for a bite to relax a bit.

Unexpectedly, the ”other” seemed to have the same idea, making the same sound.

That made it a bit unbearable.

The Trainer’s hand is mine—

”Hey—” ”Hey—”

Two hands accurately inserted into the two open mouths of Zweilous before they could close.

The irritable Zweilous immediately calmed down, gently sucking as if on a pacifier, with a face full of serene and peaceful expression.

Though it didn’t know why, it seemed the Trainer’s hand had become a bit smaller, but it was still the familiar taste, which relaxed it a lot.

”Mm...” ”Mm...”

Baimu looked at the two peaceful, baby-like dragon heads, slightly relieved but inevitably a bit distressed, ”As expected, it has happened.”

”What happened?”

Xiaoguang came over with a tray, seeing Zweilous biting the Trainer’s two hands and its mouths moving continuously, she asked, ”Did something happen?”

”Seeing the world for the first time, seeing a ’brother’ for the first time, this fellow overreacted a bit.” He revealed a helpless smile, ”After all, there is another self now.”

Xiaoguang nodded in realization, then asked, ”Do you need my help? I can help you soothe it.”

”No need, leave it to me.”

Baimu declined her offer of help, the matter with Zweilous should be resolved by themselves.

And noticing something happening over here.

Aggron and other Pokémon immediately abandoned their dinner and came closer, Galarian Corsola glanced at their unfinished meals, then at its own empty bowl, thought for a moment, and followed suit.

It understood the difference between a full meal and a continuous supply.

Moreover, the Trainer would certainly nag them if they ate someone else’s food, such troublesome things it wouldn’t do.

Piplup saw Mawile leaving, then saw Xiaoguang also gathering around Zweilous, glanced at its own dinner and then at Mamoswine, and still chose to put it down and go check out what was happening.

With so many Pokémon leaving, Xiaoguang’s other Pokémon exchanged glances, then couldn’t stay either, and joined Piplup in the fun.

For now.

By the dining table, only Mamoswine was left eating alone but determined, until the last bite was finished and then caught up with the majority, passing by Galarian Corsola with some surprise.

How are you flying so slowly?

Galarian Corsola felt that seemingly disdainful gaze, responding with nothing, just flying on its own.

Yet even before reaching, Baimu’s helpless voice was heard.

”What are you gathering here for? Just causing trouble! Go back to eating, do you want to suffocate me and Zweilous by surrounding us? Alright! Everyone go back!”

He shooed Aggron and other Pokémon away, then withdrew his hands from Zweilous’s mouth.

”Hey, woo—” ”Hey, woo—”

Hearing the two heads call out almost in unison, Baimu used both hands to pat them on the head for a while, ”First eat, everything else can be discussed once you’re full.”

Zweilous glanced at the other head beside it and remained the obedient child, even if it felt uneasy inside, slowly moving to the dining table to eat from the two bowls brought by the Trainer.

Baimu watched as the well-behaved Zweilous settled down, slightly relieved.

After evolution, the size and weight of this guy had greatly increased, and correspondingly, its appetite also significantly grew.

So there was no worry about having to halve the food preparation, causing the two heads to start fighting over food due to unfair distribution. Averaging it now not only didn’t lessen it, there was even more.

”Zweilous is really amazing...”

Xiaoguang watched from beside, her face full of amazement.

”Amazing as it is, this little guy still needs more room to grow.” Baimu smiled at her and helplessly sighed.

The change that evolution brought to Zweilous was far more significant than merely raising its species value.

Firstly, it could now observe the world with its eyes.

Secondly, it had two heads, perhaps it became ”themselves” from ”itself,” or it might still be the original one, just with two heads, two perspectives, and two ways of thinking.

Either of these two changes appearing alone wouldn’t lead to significant reactions.

But they both appeared simultaneously, bringing great impact not only to the heart but also to its perception and cognition.

”But evolution is ultimately a good thing.”

Baimu hugged the two heads of Zweilous, feeling fortunate that it didn’t particularly favor one of his hands over the other.

Otherwise, the sight of two heads fighting over one hand would be too awkward for him to imagine.

”Hey, woo~” ”Hey, woo~”

Zweilous still loved cozy moments with the Trainer, gently nuzzling with eyes closed, familiar feelings all returned, at this moment, the curiosity, excitement, tension, panic, and agitation brought by evolution were all healed by familiarity.

Just like how, for other Pokémon, the scent of their homeland can provide great relaxation in mind and body.

Baimu was its home of the soul.

That warm embrace was the ”homeland” it never wants to forget.
