Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 339: Chapter 333: Knives in Succession

You know, even in the anime, Tyranitar is considered an extremely rare Pokémon.

It’s also a Pokémon that top poachers love to use.

And like all previous Pokémon, this Tyranitar is fully domesticated and will obey all orders from the Rocket Team Member.

With a complete team, he is about to embark on a journey to participate in the Silver Conference.

——

At this point.

Baimu rubbed his eyes.

Who would have thought that a normal simulation would progress to this point, and a Rocket Team Member obtaining a Tyranitar might just break the curse of not passing the preliminaries in a normal simulation?

If he trains his Pokémon more, it might be possible.

After all, they are very strong!

What a pity.

No matter how much Baimu outside the screen hoped, the Neptune essence of the Rocket Team Member did not change.

Rather than training Pokémon, the Rocket Team Member spent more time maintaining relationships with his girlfriends, especially Athena’s daughter, who was very enthusiastic recently.

Through narration, Baimu learned that Athena’s daughter finally told her mother about the Rocket Team Member, and because of his outstanding performance in the plan, he received praise from Athena.

This made him very happy.

The Rocket Team Member was also extremely happy.

Then...

He carelessly agreed to get engaged to Athena’s daughter after the Silver Conference.

Baimu outside the screen was stunned, and the Rocket Team Member inside the screen, who had agreed as if under a spell, was also stunned. Both felt the situation seemed not quite right.

”Hmm... Is Neptune’s fish pond about to explode?”

Baimu laughed very unscrupulously.

After finding out he couldn’t retract the engagement, the Rocket Team Member racked his brains to avoid a bloody ending.

[You tell your girlfriends that the bosses see a bright future for you and forced you to get engaged to Athena’s daughter. You agree with them that once you make it big, you’ll kick Athena’s daughter to the curb.]

[Your girlfriends believed you.]

This, this actually worked!!

The Rocket Team Member’s maneuver once again shocked Baimu, unbeknownst to him, this was just basic operation for Neptune, with many moves not yet shown by the simulator.

Because they weren’t important.

Before long.

The Silver Conference began.

Baimu, out of curiosity, continued to watch. He really wanted to know how far a Rocket Team member, who relies on Rocket Team’s resources and power, could go.

Preliminaries.

The opponents were generally not particularly strong, and Tyranitar and Honchkrow were enough to handle them, with a few more if needed.

The Rocket Team Member passed through very smoothly.

When the committee checked Gym challenge records, there were no issues, which made Baimu feel a bit sorry for those defeated trainers.

They had reached this step on their own strength, even if they hadn’t challenged the strongest Gyms, they had received eight badges as trainers, who would have thought a character like this would emerge.

Initial selection.

The Rocket Team Member’s progress started to become a bit strained as the opponents visibly grew stronger.

Top 64... Top 32... Top 16...

The championship tournament was within reach!

Baimu couldn’t help but get nervous. He still hoped to see a subject in a normal simulation break through the ”law”.

But unfortunately, the simulator was very cunning.

In the Top 16 match advancing to the Top 8.

The Rocket Team Member met the protagonist.

Yes.

The opponent in the Top 8 was Axiang, the pixel character controlled by the player in the Gold and Silver versions!

Or rather, in the animation version, Kenta!

If Baimu remembered correctly, this guy participated in the Silver Conference a session ahead of Ash Ketchum and appeared in the special edition ”Legend of Thunder”.

Also, there’s the animated version of Chris—Marina. She’s not the same person as Qin Yin; they’re clearly separated in the animation.

Seeing Kenta as the Rocket Team Member’s opponent, Baimu felt a bad premonition.

As expected.

The previously invincible Tyranitar lost as soon as it faced Kenta’s Typhlosion; the bond and comprehensive bonus of the first Pokémon made even the Quasi-God a defeat.

Seeing his strongest reliance gone, the Rocket Team Member quickly became impatient.

But Kenta also had the fate of the protagonist, and not the kind where the writer would sneakily stab him.

So the following Pokémon of the Rocket Team Member couldn’t defeat the protagonist-haloed Kenta either, whose Pokémon were masters at applying the Three-word Truth to the fullest, swiftly defeating almost all of his Pokémon.

Only Honchkrow held on for a bit.

It was unusual for someone like the Rocket Team Member, who only soaked in women and didn’t train his Pokémon, to be exposed at this stage.

In the end, he also lost to Kenta.

Importantly.

The poor performance of not reaching the championship tournament would certainly not satisfy Giovanni.

The Rocket Team Member had no idea how to explain himself to him.

[You lost to Trainer Kenta, falling short at the Top 16. This result made you very anxious, and you quickly received punishment from Giovanni, who took away all your Pokémon.]

[You returned to the sub-base dejected, only to find that your promiscuous exploits had been exposed. Your girlfriends, wanting to console your failure, decided to surprise you, but somehow they all ran into each other, and after exchanging information, they realized you were a scumbag at heart.]

[Your first girlfriend, upon learning of your betrayal, took out a kitchen knife...]

[Your story seems to be ending.]

[Simulation ended]

The screen disappeared.

This left the excited Baimu very displeased.

Why wasn’t he allowed to see the end of the kitchen knife ending? Was it too bloody for kids to watch?

Tsk.

He took out his phone and searched for the Top 16 of Kenta’s session.

A handsome face immediately came into view.

Hmm... no wonder he could string along so many. Turns out he had the looks. Wonder if he’s dead... Ah, there’s no follow-up report.

He must be gone.

Tsk tsk tsk, really scary.

Baimu looked at the rewards that popped up.

[Choose Reward 1: Raise any Pokémon by four levels (below lv.50)]

[Choose Reward 2: Obtain a clue for a Pokémon (quite good)]

[Choose Reward 3: Move Tutor (attribute can be specified)]

[Choose Reward 4: Retain the [Peach Blossoms Luck] talent for the next simulation]

What Peach Blossoms Luck, it’s clearly Kitchen Knives Luck.

He muttered under his breath, but the fact the villain didn’t stay was a bit of a shame for him.

Even though he disliked those guys, watching them for fun was quite interesting.

”Pokémon are still better; no matter how many partners you have, you don’t fear kitchen knives.” Baimu hugged the passing Mawile and placed it in his arms, stroking its head.

”Chidori!”

”There’s no one else here, what’s wrong with a couple of strokes?”

”Chi——”

”Okay okay okay, I won’t touch anymore, okay?”

Facing Mawile’s glowing fist, Baimu sheepishly raised his hands in surrender.
