Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 337: Chapter 333: Machete Strikes Again and Again (Mega Merged Chapter!!)

Speaking of which, doesn’t the Rocket Team usually operate with pairs and one Pokémon? Could this person be a bit special? Or maybe it’s a feature of the Johto division...

Anyway.

Through constant persuasion, the Rocket Team member quickly and smoothly circumvented numerous obstacles and gained qualification to participate in the secret plan.

And behind this was the result of the efforts of his numerous girlfriends, so many he couldn’t count them on his fingers.

On the day of departure.

The Rocket Team member demonstrated to Baimu what it means to be a top-tier playboy and time management master, successfully placating his numerous girlfriends, leaving none of them dissatisfied with him.

This skill of walking on a tightrope left Baimu in awe.

As the departing participant, the Rocket Team member also received his ”novice Pokémon”—Murkrow, given to him by the daughter of his number one girlfriend, Athena, likely related to Athena’s Murkrow.

[You received your first Pokémon, Murkrow, but you are not particularly satisfied]

Huh?

It was the first time Baimu saw such narration, and after some thought, he understood the Rocket Team member’s idea—this guy disliked Murkrow for being too weak.

Most Rocket Team members use Pokémon as tools, with James and Musashi being exceptions.

In the eyes of this Rocket Team member, Murkrow might be seen as an unsuitable ”tool”.

In fact.

The Rocket Team isn’t particularly short of various powerful Pokémon types; from the later ability to provide the trio with a Pokémon capsule machine, which even included Tyranitar, it was evident.

Even earlier, when Xiaogang was guarding his Gym, the Rocket Team was willing to support the trio with Aggron and Charizard.

Giving him a Murkrow indeed seemed stingy.

In the scene.

The Rocket Team member left the Johto base of the Rocket Team and arrived at the nearest Yuanzhu City.

Abandoning the Kaji Town base?

It makes sense, that place has most likely been scouted by Lance, so how could they still stay there?

However, the Rocket Team member didn’t enter when he arrived at the Yuanzhu Gym and, after a brief look, he took the train and left Yuanzhu City, eventually arriving at Azalea Town.

[You understand that you and the others involved in the plan are in a competitive relationship, and only by acquiring the first badge as quickly as possible can you receive subsequent support; those without achievements get nothing]

So there’s an internal competition mechanism?

Baimu wasn’t surprised; in a ”publicly listed company” like the Rocket Team, an atmosphere of complete harmony is impossible from a realistic perspective, especially with Giovanni being a boss focused solely on making big money, he couldn’t tolerate anyone idly sitting on a position.

Even the trio was once expelled from the Rocket Team, and the reason for their successful return later was ostensibly that Giovanni felt they owed the team a lot of money.

After arriving at Azalea Town.

The Rocket Team member resolutely began his first Gym challenge.

Clearly, he understood the principle of picking the softer persimmons, and among all the Gym Leaders in Johto, because Api specializes in the Bug Attribute, using Murkrow as his first-choice Pokémon gave him the best chance of winning.

The facts proved the Rocket Team member’s thoughts were very correct.

Api, against a Rocket Team member with no badges, used Metapod and Spinarak.

Despite these two Pokémon causing a lot of trouble for Murkrow with their webs, thanks to its excellent basics, it smoothly took on two and defeated them.

Defeating the Azalea Gym in just one go.

Its performance also made the Rocket Team member quickly change his view of this Pokémon.

[You defeated Azalea Gym Leader Abi, earning the Insect Badge]

[Seeing the victorious Murkrow, for the first time, you feel that partnering with it might not be so bad]

How realistic.

Baimu couldn’t help but mock the other’s mindset, but strictly speaking, trainers with this mentality were not few and far between, and Ash Ketchum always ends up with Pokémon that others discard, which is hard proof.

While countless people adore their Pokémon, there are also many trainers who, in pursuit of power, continuously deplete their Pokémon’s goodwill.

Unfortunately, the narration in the simulator only covers the psychological changes of the simulated object, otherwise, Baimu would really like to see Murkrow’s expression at this moment.

Meanwhile.

The Rocket Team member arrived at a shop.

[You submitted the results of your Gym challenge to the secret personnel and learned that you are the first to obtain a badge, joyfully receiving a monetary reward and a Pokémon reward]

[You sent a letter to your third girlfriend, and she helped replace your original Pokémon. You obtained a new Pokémon—Electabuzz, enhancing your promising Pokémon team]

Good grief.

In other simulations, travel companions increase, but for this guy, it’s the number of tool Pokémon that increases.

And since he left the base, this guy could still utilize the power of his gullible girlfriends to exchange for a Pokémon advantageous for the upcoming Gym Battle.

Baimu discontentedly pinched the head of the Zweilous coming close.

The Rocket Team member chose Electabuzz, obviously to take down the Flying Attribute Violet Gym; both its Gym Leader Asoo and Api are among the youngest of the batch.

From a strength perspective, they’re more easily surmountable than other Gym Leaders.

Still, taking the train to Violet City, the Rocket Team member wasted no time starting the Gym challenge.

Baimu was initially curious if he didn’t need to get acquainted with his Pokémon, but later realized most Rocket Team Pokémon have been trained to have no personal temperament.

Whatever the Rocket Team member said, Electabuzz did.
