Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 329: Chapter 326: The Wall of Sighs

Want to switch?

Sorry, it’s not that easy.

”Telekinesis!”

”Lucky!”

Upon hearing Baimu’s command, Chansey instinctively unleashed Spiritual Power, the intangible force locked onto Mightyena, swiftly lifting it from the ground into midair.

The red light shot from the Pokeball in Courtney’s hand missed its target.

The sudden change left her momentarily stunned.

”Standing still like that...” Baimu was puzzled as to why Courtney wasn’t moving forward to retrieve the Pokémon and remained stationary.

In fact, Chansey’s telekinesis was slower this time due to the distance from Mightyena, who would have thought that the farther-away Courtney wouldn’t move at all.

If it were any farther, the Pokeball’s retrieval beam might not have reached.

Isn’t this the type of match where trainers designate positions?

On the other hand.

The rules in mainstream regions don’t prohibit trainers from disrupting the opponent’s Pokémon retrieval, as long as the interference is directed at the opponent’s Pokémon, not the trainer or the Pokeball in their hand.

So Courtney, aware of the failed switch, simply issued a new command without complaint.

”Evil Fluctuation!”

She realized her position wasn’t good for retrieving her Pokémon, she had to find a way to get closer.

In midair.

Mightyena struggled frantically, trying to break free from Chansey’s psychic control.

As an Evil Attribute Pokémon, it had never experienced this; Psychic Attribute moves shouldn’t have any effect on it!

Facing the trainer’s command, it immediately launched a black and violet ring-shaped beam at Chansey.

The unsettling Evil Attribute energy penetrated the air.

Whoosh!

”Meet it head-on! Light Wall!”

Chansey started moving and instinctively raised its small hand, forming a translucent glass wall in front of itself.

When Evil Fluctuation passed through the glass, its power had weakened to the point where it didn’t pose any threat to Chansey, no stronger than the water stream from a toy water gun.

To be fair, even without using Light Wall, Chansey wouldn’t flinch from it.

Its outstanding Special Defense and endurance earned it the nickname ”Wall of Special Attackers’ Sigh.” But to avoid unforeseen circumstances, a defense is best.

And having lost the strong control of Spiritual Power, Mightyena, still floating, regained some freedom, but unlike Crobat, it didn’t have wings to maneuver in the air.

Unable to leverage any support with its feet, it could only stare helplessly as Chansey got closer.

Off the field!

Let me off the field!

Mightyena looked at Courtney hopefully, and she did not disappoint, running forward with Chansey and lifting her Pokeball again.

In an instant.

Baimu’s voice reached Chansey’s ears, ”Severe Poison! Spit it over!”

”Lu-lucky!”

Chansey blushed slightly, spitting a mouthful of violet liquid at Mightyena, which couldn’t dodge and was touched by the liquid, rapidly entering a severely poisoned state.

At the same time, the red light from the Pokeball in Courtney’s hand hit Mightyena and withdrew it.

”Success!”

Baimu smiled, Chansey felt embarrassed, but the successful strategy made it happy.

To be honest.

Severe Poison, as a non-contact move, had always been used as a contact move by it due to the lack of a good projectile medium.

Chansey considered using Nutrient Eggs to deliver the poison, but felt it was wasteful, as there were not enough for the big and small Pokémon at home.

Roughly thinking, spitting was the simplest solution.

Though for naturally high-quality Chansey, it was quite embarrassing to do so.

Too wasteful and embarrassing.

It felt that embarrassment was better; after all, only it felt embarrassed. Maybe it would get used to it if it endured?

——

Courtney clutched the Pokeball, falling into a brief silence.

Mightyena ended up poisoned and wouldn’t recover just by returning to the Pokeball.

It doesn’t have the Natural Recovery trait.

With its battle capability almost sealed by Chansey, it would only gradually lose all its stamina upon reemerging.

At this point, Baimu’s capabilities were evident—Pokémon combat strength, tactical skills, and commanding abilities had been fully displayed.

Even Boss Chi Yansong wouldn’t say anything upon hearing about it.

But she still wanted to finish the battle.

Not because she couldn’t bear to lose, but to see how much further Baimu could extend his advantage, and how he would perform against Mega Camerupt.

Close victory? Overwhelming triumph? Or perhaps... defeat?

From this point on, the battle was not driven by the boss’s orders but by Courtney’s curiosity about Baimu.

”Go...”

She threw the Pokeball.

Boom!

”Moo!”

Mega Camerupt reappeared and roared menacingly at Chansey from not far away!

Expecting to frighten the seemingly delicate little guy, but the latter’s expression didn’t change a bit.

After all, can anything be scarier than the crazed pain of suffering patients?

Chansey hadn’t spent all that time at the Pokémon Center for nothing; although it seldom had the chance to battle others while traveling, it had actually grown a lot.

Its character had become stronger.

”Telekinesis!”

Chansey routinely released spiritual power at Mega Camerupt’s location, only to find it didn’t struggle, instead swelling the volcano on its back and launching a fire column skyward!

Boom!!

Terrifying meteor fire rain fell again.

Courtney knew Mega Camerupt’s strengths and weaknesses well, that its movement speed hadn’t improved with Mega Evolution but had instead become slower.

This meant, without external influences, it was destined to be a stationary turret.

Therefore, the telekinesis move had less impact on Mega Camerupt than on Mightyena. It would proceed as usual.

Baimu might have been unfamiliar with Mega Camerupt, hence choosing this move.

”Dodge! If you can’t dodge, use Minimize!”

”Fire...”

Courtney saw Chansey skillfully dodging the lava balls falling from the sky, occasionally shrinking its body to a certain extent, displaying a proficiency comparable to Mawile, who flew wildly amidst the chaos, revising her perception of how tenacious Baimu was.

Boom!!

Mega Camerupt continually blasted fire columns at the sky, and with its full stamina, it unleashes attacks at maximum power, coupled with the seemingly inexhaustible energy brought by Mega Evolution.

The stony path quickly turned scorching hot.

Chansey’s surplus for dodging was also gradually shrinking and narrowing.

Luckily, its task was particularly simple—

Inflict poison!

”Smoke Spray!”

Amidst the backdrop of a fiery rain, Mega Camerupt again created a fierce smoke Protective Shield; Courtney didn’t believe Chansey could disperse the smoke like Mawile could.

But what she didn’t anticipate was Chansey charging in without hesitation despite the fierce smoke!

Until the green glow shone, she realized Chansey used Defend.

Meanwhile.

The most shocking thing is, despite the lava balls falling everywhere, Baimu unexpectedly ran over from the side.

What is he planning!?
