Apocalypse: I Built a City of Sin

She saw a boy with a blade cutting down zombies. In front of him, zombie corpses were already piled high, and a steady stream of zombies was still charging up the corridor.

Lu Yurou watched this boy bravely killing zombies.

Suddenly she felt a respect she could not quite name.

That feeling surprised even her.

From childhood on, she had never worshipped any man.

Including her father.

Even a few days ago, when her father had died outside the door protecting her, she had not been moved much.

Maybe she had been born a woman who was too rational, and very cold.

“Classmate, come inside and take cover! These zombies hear noise and they gather more and more! It’s dangerous out there!” Lu Yurou said, anxious.

Xiao Yi turned his head and glanced at Lu Yurou behind the security window.

This beautiful professor was still that beautiful, and she was still very kind.

Her hair was already a mess now, and there was some blood on that snow-white, flawless face.

But it still could not cover her noble, elegant beauty.

And unlike Tang Jingyan, Li Wanning, and the others, what Lu Yurou had more of was a mature charm.

Like a peach left on the branch until it was ripe. Full. Wet. It made a person want to take a bite.

He felt Lu Yurou’s concern.

Xiao Yi did not know whether to laugh or cry.

Did he look like a man who was afraid of zombies?

Xiao Yi cut down several of the zombies in front one after another, and the instant Lu Yurou opened the door, he slipped into Lu Yurou’s room.

“Classmate, do you know how dangerous that is? You can’t kill these zombies all. The more you kill the more come. They hear noise and they attack like mad.

I’ve already watched several people who weren’t afraid of dying get swallowed by the horde. You’re brave, but you still shouldn’t run around everywhere.”

Lu Yurou taught him the way an elder taught her own child.

Lu Yurou was very happy, because she had not touched a living person in a long time.

Add the hardship of surviving in the apocalypse, and Lu Yurou felt a strong liking for this Xiao Yi who had appeared out of nowhere.

She even had the feeling of meeting an old friend in a foreign place.

The original ice-mountain beauty warmed up as well.

Xiao Yi looked around. The faculty dorm rooms were all singles, very spacious.

And Lu Yurou had arranged hers neatly and cleanly. A few books sat on the living-room table. Clearly this beautiful professor passed lonely time by reading.

“Classmate, how did you get here?” Lu Yurou saw that Xiao Yi had not taken her warning to heart at all, and could not help asking out of curiosity.

“I heard you calling for help and came.”

Lu Yurou froze slightly and pointed at the men’s dorm across the way at an angle. “Are you with them?”

Xiao Yi looked in the direction Lu Yurou pointed and also saw several boys staring this way.

Those boys should have just seen Xiao Yi moving along the walls like Spider-Man and cutting down zombies with easy ferocity. All of them looked a little stunned.

Xiao Yi felt a little speechless.

So this beautiful professor had not been calling him for help?

She had been calling the boys across the way?

But looking out from Lu Yurou’s window, the direction of the City of Sin happened to be blocked by the girls’ dorm. You really could not see anything.

“Then I may have misunderstood…” Xiao Yi scratched his head, a little awkward, and asked with pretend concern, “Professor Lu, do you still have food now?”

“Are you hungry?” Lu Yurou turned very warmly, took a cup of water and a bowl of rice out of the kitchen, and said, “I still have a lot of food here. If you’re hungry, eat more!”

Lu Yurou’s reaction left Xiao Yi speechless again.

“I’m not hungry…” Xiao Yi waved a hand. “I have food.”

“Then do you still have enough water?” Xiao Yi asked again.

“Originally I didn’t have enough to drink. But later I found that although the zombie virus spreads through water, and a hundred degrees of heat can’t kill the zombie virus, if you boil it a little longer, this water can be drunk. So I’m not short of water now.”

This was also experience Lu Yurou had gotten by risking her life when she truly had no other way.

“As for food, because I’m usually fairly lazy, my father stocked a lot of rice and flour and things like that in my kitchen. The food inside should last the two of us more than another month.”

Lu Yurou listed it as if she were counting family treasures.

This food had indeed been bought for her by Lu Yurou’s father. Besides staples like rice and flour, there had also been a lot of meat and vegetables. But most of the meat and vegetables she had eaten after the apocalypse.

The reason Lu Yurou’s father had done this was that he had always believed restaurants outside were unhealthy and unsanitary, so he had always strongly demanded that Lu Yurou come home to eat.

But because of her issues with relationships, Lu Yurou had gone cold with her parents and refused to go home.

Lu Yurou’s father had no other move. He could only often buy food himself and deliver it to Lu Yurou’s dorm, hoping that would make Lu Yurou cook for herself.

But Lu Yurou had still gone her own way and kept eating at restaurants outside.

By coincidence, a lot of food had been left in Lu Yurou’s kitchen.
