Apocalypse: I Built a City of Sin

Xiao Yi frowned slightly and peered toward the source of the reflected light.

A group of students had gathered around a distant window and were waving at him.

Above their heads, they held up a large sign bearing the letters “SOS.”

Thanks to his improved Constitution, Xiao Yi’s eyesight had become exceptional. Even from this distance, he could make out several students inside—both men and women. The men wore basketball uniforms, while the women were dressed in sexy yoga outfits or dance skirts.

They must have been exercising inside the gymnasium when the apocalypse began.

“They’re all pretty good-looking, but as a shut-in, the kind of guys I hate most are these assholes who spend all day showing off their muscles, playing basketball, and acting cool. And damn it, every last one of them is handsome too!” Xiao Yi muttered before looking away, showing no intention of acknowledging them.

“Weren’t you all supposed to be hot shit? You carried basketballs around, flexed your muscles, and acted cool every day, but now you’re begging a shut-in like me for help? Fend for yourselves!”

Xiao Yi sneered, raised his middle finger toward them, and walked down from the wall.

Large groups of zombies blocked the route from the City of Sin to the gymnasium. With Xiao Yi’s current strength, there was no guarantee he could fight his way through. He was not stupid enough to risk his life for strangers.

Even the presence of several attractive women failed to interest him.

Perhaps once he was strong enough to break through layer after layer of zombies, he might consider taking that risk. For now, Li Wanning and Shen Tingting were more than enough to satisfy him. If he rescued too many servants at once, he would not even have time to deal with them all.

“Shen Tingting, stay here and keep watch. Li Wanning, come to the Rest Cabin with me.”

Xiao Yi beckoned to Li Wanning and walked straight into the cabin.

Her face reddened, and she obediently hurried after him.

Several shamelessly pleasurable days passed. Apart from going outside to kill zombies, Xiao Yi spent his time making the two beautiful women serve him in turns. Strangely, as his Constitution steadily improved, his stamina in bed also became increasingly powerful. By now, even when the two women took turns with him, they could barely endure it.

“The time is about right. I should go bring Ling Xueya and Tang Ningning back.”

Xiao Yi lay comfortably in his wicker chair beneath the sun while Shen Tingting pouted and resentfully massaged his legs.

Li Wanning was busy burying corpses. Xiao Yi had constructed two additional Tombs over the past few days, bringing the total to four. With all four operating simultaneously, his attributes and Apocalypse Coins had risen rapidly.

“System, display my attributes!”

【City of Sin (Beginner)】

【City Lord: Xiao Yi】

【Sex: Male】

【Constitution: 80】

【Spirit: 65】

【Strength: 80】

【Stamina: 80】

【Agility: 80】

【Average adult male attribute: 60】

【Skills: None】

【Items: Blade of Sin (Beginner), Spatial Pouch (Beginner)】

【Apocalypse Coins: 458】

“My physical attributes have already reached the level of an elite competitive athlete!”

Xiao Yi stood and swung the modao several times.

The weapon no longer felt heavy. On the contrary, its substantial weight now felt perfectly suited to his hands.

【Ding! Zombie corpse burial complete!】

【Apocalypse Coins +8】

【The Level 1 Tomb is now empty. Please submit another corpse.】

Hearing the notification, Xiao Yi frowned. Since yesterday, burying ordinary zombies had rewarded him with Apocalypse Coins but no attribute points.

According to his calculations, low-level zombies could raise each of his physical attributes only to 80. That was the limit. Zombies capable of improving Spirit were extremely rare, which was why that attribute had risen to only 65.

As his body grew stronger, ordinary zombies could no longer improve his attributes. He needed to find and bury more powerful zombies!

“Master, look! Someone is killing zombies near the gymnasium!” Shen Tingting shouted excitedly, pointing into the distance.

Xiao Yi looked toward the gymnasium. Sure enough, it was the group that had asked him for help. Five men and three women emerged together, each carrying some kind of club and wearing a baseball jacket. Their movements were well coordinated.

The young man leading them fought bravely. With the other four men supporting him, he quickly opened a path through the corridor.

They initially tried to descend, but the densely packed zombies below forced them upstairs instead.

The group fought while retreating and even managed to carry some supplies with them.

“They’re strong!” Li Wanning observed kindly. “Master, shouldn’t we rescue them? They look capable. If you bring them back as helpers, they could watch your back whenever you go outside.”

Rescue them?

What a foolish woman.

Xiao Yi was confident that he now possessed enough strength to save those people, but why should he?

He was no self-sacrificing saint, much less a merciful bodhisattva. He had no obligation to save anyone from suffering.
