Apocalypse: I Built a City of Sin

Just then, the countdown on the stone marker reached 00:00.

A series of synthetic notifications sounded inside Xiao Yi’s mind.

【Ding! Power-Type Zombie burial complete!】

【Apocalypse Coins +10】

【Strength +3】

【Agility +1】

【The Level 1 Tomb is now empty. Please submit another corpse.】

As the synthetic voice faded, a scorching current once again swept through his entire body.

Just as he had expected! The Power-Type Zombie had given him far greater rewards than an ordinary zombie!

“System, display my attributes!”

【City of Sin (Beginner)】

【City Lord: Xiao Yi】

【Sex: Male】

【Constitution: 72】

【Spirit: 60】

【Strength: 71】

【Stamina: 63】

【Agility: 63】

【Average adult male attribute: 60】

【Skills: None】

【Items: Blade of Sin (Beginner), Spatial Pouch (Beginner)】

【Apocalypse Coins: 24】

After examining his attributes, Xiao Yi gave the Blade of Sin a few swings. It felt much lighter than before. Even after swinging it more than a dozen times in succession, he barely felt tired.

Of course, Xiao Yi knew that 71 points of Strength was nothing extraordinary. At most, it put him on the level of a competitive amateur athlete. The sensation of possessing overwhelming power was merely an illusion caused by his sudden increase in Strength.

Xiao Yi picked up another zombie corpse and threw it into the Tomb. Looking at the crimson text on the stone marker, he could not help frowning.

【Corpse Burial in Progress...】

【Estimated Time Remaining: 1 Hour】

Even an ordinary zombie took an hour to bury, while the slightly stronger one had required two. At this rate, far too much of every day would be wasted waiting for corpses to be processed.

But he did not have enough Apocalypse Coins to upgrade the Tomb.

“System, can I build another Tomb?”

【Affirmative. Construction Requirements—City Area: 5 square meters; Apocalypse Coins: 20; Construction Time: 3 hours. Would you like to construct another Tomb?】

【Build Now】【Build Later】

“Build it now!”

Processing zombie corpses took far too long. Xiao Yi needed several Tombs if he wanted to shorten the wait.

The more zombies he buried, the stronger he would become.

No one knew what tomorrow might bring in this apocalypse.

He had to become powerful as quickly as possible!

Meanwhile, the two girls leaning out of the dormitory window and calling to Xiao Yi were filled with disappointment.

That guy did not seem to have any intention of helping them!

Feeling their cracked lips and the hunger gnawing at their stomachs, the two girls sank into despair.

The food and water left in their room would last them three more days at most.

After that, they would have nothing!

The shorter of the two girls silently shed tears before complaining petulantly, “Hmph! Are all guys this cowardly now? Even if he won’t come save us, he could at least bring us some food and water! Look at how much he has!”

“I really want a sausage right now...” The petite girl bit her full but cracked pink lip with one sharp canine tooth.

The taller girl shook her head and replied dejectedly, “This is the apocalypse. Protecting your own life comes first. He really has no obligation to risk his life to save or help us. We’ve never even met him. He doesn’t owe us anything.”

“How can he bear to watch two beautiful girls like us starve and die of thirst? Is he even a man?” The petite girl glared contemptuously at Xiao Yi as he leisurely drank his Red Bull, cursing him with vicious resentment.

“Who says a man is obligated to save a woman? He isn’t your boyfriend. Forget it, Tingting. We’ll have to find a way out of this ourselves.”

The tall girl shook her head resolutely. Biting her lip, she gave Xiao Yi one last look and prepared to close the window.

Just then, she saw the strange young man grip a gleaming saber and sprint toward the dormitory!

“Is he coming to save us?” the tall girl exclaimed, her mouth falling open.

“Wow! He’s so hot! He’s really coming this way! He even looks amazing when he runs!” The petite girl gazed at Xiao Yi with infatuation and open admiration.

Although petite and adorable, she possessed an exceptionally voluptuous figure.

When she bounced in excitement, even the tall girl could not help feeling a little envious.

Perhaps this was what people meant by a baby face with huge breasts...

“But there are so many zombies. Can he really make it up here?”

“What if he dies on the way and the zombies tear him apart and eat him?”

“He might be our only hope!”

“Is there anything we can do to help him?”

As the two girls watched with equal parts anxiety and anticipation, Xiao Yi charged closer to the girls’ dormitory.

“He’s incredible! There were so many zombies, and he killed every one of them!” the petite girl squealed, her large eyes glittering with worship.
