...

Xiao Yi briefly examined the newly unlocked structures. Nearly all of them were extremely practical, but no matter how he looked at the list, everything radiated sinister darkness.

Even he felt a chill run down his spine.

The Zombie Marauder and Slaughterer Armored Vehicle naturally attracted him the most. With those two ultimate weapons, collecting zombies would become vastly easier.

Unfortunately, the best items also carried the highest prices. For now, strengthening the city’s basic infrastructure one step at a time was the more realistic choice.

“System, display my attributes!”

【City of Sin (Intermediate)】

【Apocalypse Coins: 189】

Xiao Yi glanced at the final line. After spending three hundred coins to upgrade the City of Sin, he had only 189 remaining. That should still be enough for a few basic facilities.

“I’ll upgrade a Tomb first.”

He approached an empty Tomb.

“System, upgrade this Tomb immediately!”

【Level 2 Tomb: A Tomb capable of burying an unlimited number of zombie corpses below C rank. Prerequisite: Level 1 Tomb. Price: 50 Apocalypse Coins.】

【Level 1 Tomb selected. Requirements satisfied. Beginning upgrade...】

【50 Apocalypse Coins consumed...】

As the synthetic voice faded, the Tomb began to tremble. Moments later, an ornate yet far more sinister burial chamber appeared before him.

【Upgrade to Level 2 Tomb complete...】

Xiao Yi immediately picked up the hulking zombie’s corpse and threw it into the dark opening.

Ghostly wails echoed from below.

This time, the corpse was not rejected.

Two lines appeared on the tombstone.

【Corpse burial in progress.】

【Estimated completion time: 2 hours.】
