Chapter 549: Chapter 496: Zombie Baby_3

Third Uncle’s face was grim. He saw that, surrounding these two corpses, there were two other human corpses, which were clearly suicides.

Two meters away from these two bodies were the corpses of two zombies, which was quite obvious.

Third Uncle slowly walked to the edge of the bed where the two corpses lay, then drew the dagger from his thigh.

He prodded the zombie infant, saw its sharp teeth, then used the dagger to poke the baby’s body.

Seeing that there were no bite marks on the infant, it meant that the baby was not infected after birth.

There were only two possibilities: either it was infected before birth, when its mother got infected, or its mother was a zombie and carried the small zombie to term.

According to their current understanding of zombies, although their agility and activity could be enhanced in the torrential rain, there was no trace of increased intelligence.

Seeing this scene, Third Uncle thought for a while and then said to Li Tie behind him: ”Spear, stab through these bodies and then toss them over the wall.”

After saying that, as if he remembered something, he added, ”Tomorrow, find a way to take this zombie baby back to the base, our base has a Research Room, let them study it.”

Seeing his father’s calmness, Li Tie’s previously tense nerves found their anchor, and he relaxed.

Li Tie agreed and then went with Dapao and the others to do as his father had just instructed.

...

Third Uncle came down from upstairs, walked to the corner, and stared at the painting for a while.

Then he stepped forward, touched the frame, which was made of wood and seemed like good quality, so he forcefully took the painting down.

Dapao and others, who had just thrown the corpses down from the upstairs, were descending the stairs to move the bodies outside when they saw Third Uncle carrying the painting and quickly came up to help.

”Dad, are you going to take this painting out and throw it outside? I also feel a sense of dread looking at this painting.”

”No, there’s nothing left that we can burn. We’ll use this painting for fire later on, perfect for heating or cooking.”

”!!!!!!”

Dapao and the others looked at Third Uncle with a confused expression.

But on second thought, they found Third Uncle’s words to be extremely sensible. After experiencing last winter, many places where things could be burned had been chopped up for firewood.

This building clearly had been visited before, with all useful things moved out, even tables and chairs had been taken away as fuel.

There were traces of flames on some of the floors.

Why they didn’t use this painting as firewood might be because the painting was too disturbing that no one dared to do so.

Crack~

Third Uncle took an axe and chopped the painting in half.

Then, with the axe, he dismantled the painting.

As he was doing all this, Third Uncle suddenly looked up and saw that it had already turned dark outside.

So he asked Li Tie: ”Lao Lu, Lao Qin, they haven’t returned yet, right? Is there a problem? Contact them, tell them to hurry back.”

Upon hearing this, Li Tie immediately took out the walkie-talkie to contact Lao Qin and Lao Lu.

He had just finished speaking when he heard Lao Qin’s voice from outside the gate: ”At the gate now.”

Third Uncle and the others looked towards Lao Qin and the others outside the gate.

Ah Hong, who was at the gate, hurriedly opened it, letting Lao Qin and Lao Lu and others in.

By this time, the night was already dark.

But because of several lights inside the villa, Lao Qin and others could see the presence of Third Uncle and his group from outside.

After seeing Lao Qin and others return, Third Uncle asked them to close the large iron gate of the yard.

He inquired about the situation: ”Did you see a lot of zombies nearby, or any other situations?”

Lao Qin shook his head and said, ”Just looked over there, there were some zombies, but not many, we took care of them easily.”

Third Uncle then looked at Lao Qin, and Lao Qin shook his head as well, saying, ”Same here, nothing unusual.”

Seeing the ignited painting frame and the food that was already prepared, Third Uncle said to Li Tie: ”Let’s eat something first and rest early. After you finish, go and replace Yang Tianlong. He is on high alert on the rooftop...”
