Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Chapter 536: Chapter 491: Destroying Human Civilization_2

”You all, what’s the matter? We are just ordinary people. How can you stand by and do nothing?”

...

As Luo and the others were only focused on the zombies under the wall in front of them, they didn’t care about the people outside the wall and had no plans to rescue them, which made their yelling even more outrageous.

”If you don’t come to rescue us, we will be eaten by the zombies sooner or later. If you don’t rescue us and I become a zombie, I’ll bite you first!”

”You liars, claiming to serve us, but utterly unreliable when it matters, haha, you liars!”

”I curse you. Ah, the zombies are coming, they’re coming, gurgle gurgle~”

.....

The main gate of the base was less than 30 meters from their building, and the shouts could be heard very clearly.

However.

Luo looked at these people expressionlessly as he watched the zombies break through the gate and rush to bite them.

These were the people who had left the base originally and had also snatched the food. And yet, they were the ones who wanted others to risk their lives to save them.

Luo woke up to the reality, suddenly understanding the innate evil of humanity.

So much wickedness needed to be cleared.

He suddenly felt despair, a sense of disappointment; despite their endless efforts and risking their lives for the cause, they ended up being struck down.

Previously, during the food snatching incident, he hadn’t thought it through so clearly. But now, he felt this despair starkly.

”Perhaps going to the Big Camphor Tree Base will bring a different feeling,” murmured Luo.

Bipin and the others were still skilled in resisting the zombies. Seeing Luo looking towards the distance, they shouted, ”Forget about them now, life and death are predestined. It was their choice to leave. Let’s focus on fending off the zombies, we are short on people now...”

Luo, as if waking from a dream, hurriedly used his long spear to stab at the zombies below.

....

In this apocalyptic world, like Luo and his group fighting hard against zombies, there were more than one such cases.

Most were struggling in despair.

But, some exceptions regarded zombies as messengers.

They believed that behind the apocalypse, behind the zombies, there must be an entity orchestrating everything. They called it ”the Lord.”

And these zombies were messengers sent by ”the Lord”, aiming ultimately to cleanse the earthly sins.

To clear the hopelessly corrupt humankind, and then to construct a ultimately pure world.

The body destroyed, and then the soul reshaped.

....

In Gansheng province.

Ma Jun, with a look of enjoyment, watched the zombies tearing the humans in front of him to pieces, feeling very delightful.

He had always felt that the arrival of the apocalypse was his redemption.

Reflecting two years ago, he witnessed his wife, who had cheated on him, begging him not to divorce, but she insisted on divorce so bluntly.

Honest and obedient for half his life, he finally exploded in anger, killed his wife, chopped her into pieces, and stored them in the refrigerator.

Ma Jun had been bullied since childhood for being short and frail, always submissive and compliant.

Living through over thirty years, witnessing the birth of his daughter, and then his wife’s betrayal almost drove him insane. For his child, he pleaded with his wife not to divorce, but who could expect his wife to utter the most despair-inducing words:

”You are a loser; others can bully you, and so can I! Coward! Hah, let me be clear, the child is not yours; otherwise, why would I have married you. I picked you as a backup at that time. I didn’t expect you would think a premature birth was normal.

I’m telling you straight, I don’t want to play with you anymore, we’re getting a divorce. I’m not discussing it with you; I’m informing you.”

Crumbling, despairing, it felt like the sky had collapsed.

In what he thought was the best time of his life, this woman destroyed everything with her own hands.

But he still couldn’t let go of his daughter. Although she wasn’t his biologically, his daughter had indeed brought him a lot of warmth.

For his daughter, he was willing to endure and thus knelt down to beg his wife not to leave him.

But this woman was utterly heartless, mocking him, ”Forget about the child, haha, after the divorce, the child will stay with me and isn’t yours anyway. Begging me is useless!”

Ma Jun had never encountered anyone more arrogant than her, nor anyone more hurtful.

If he divorced this woman and the child went with her, knowing her nature, she would never treat their daughter well.

She had often beaten and scolded their daughter while drinking alcohol; leaving the daughter with her would undoubtedly end badly.

Ma Jun was consumed with thoughts of his daughter, remembering how she had given him a drawing just this morning, a sunflower, sun, lawn, and both of them.

No, he absolutely couldn’t let his daughter leave him, Ma Jun thought to himself.

Watching his wife, who was still blabbering in front of him, Ma Jun’s inner beast erupted. Without a word, he walked into the kitchen.

He grabbed a cleaver and chopped the woman down on the floor.

The woman never expected that the coward who usually didn’t dare fight back would now dare to wield a knife!

”Are you crazy? You’ve gone mad! What are you doing?!”

The eerily calm Ma Jun had not a hint of emotion in his eyes.

He raised the knife and it struck down.

Seeing her husband, who was completely different from before, made her tremble with fear. This stranger-like husband frightened her.

She wanted to scream.

But before she could make a sound, Ma Jun chopped at her neck with a knife.

Gurgle gurgle~

Blood flowed everywhere.

Ma Jun wasn’t nervous; everything seemed as if he had rehearsed it countless times - chopping the body, cutting it into pieces, freezing it solid.

After finishing all this, he cleaned the house, turned on the fan, sprayed alcohol, erasing all traces.

Even then, he went as usual to pick up his daughter from school.

The daughter didn’t ask where her mother was, as she was used to her mother often leaving home to mess around and not coming back for a week.

It wasn’t until three months later that the incident was discovered.

After being discovered, he didn’t hide; he dealt with it calmly.

However, reflecting on his life, he couldn’t help but find it somewhat funny.

Living in confusion and enduring humiliation for over thirty years, and this was the result he got.

His daughter was only 10 years old, Ma Jun’s parents had passed away long ago, and his wife’s parents wouldn’t take in his daughter, so he could only leave her in the care of a colleague he thought highly of.

He asked the colleague to look after her; the colleague had a family, and he too had a daughter. They usually got along well and he was the only person in the world who treated him well.

However, when he was sentenced to death, just before the execution, he met his daughter one last time.

Seeing the swelling on his daughter’s face, and hearing about how that uncle touched her at night, and...

Ma Jun collapsed!

He confronted the colleague standing next to his daughter, appearing almost insane, then seeing the colleague’s smiling corner of his mouth, he was enraged to the point of breaking.

He begged the prison guards, pleading with them to help him, to help his daughter.

But facing a death row inmate...

No one helped him, no one believed him.

He harbored an unprecedented hatred, hated humanity, detested humanity!

He had longed for warmth, but time and again, hope led to despair!

In prison, he begged for mercy, but no one cared.

In prison, he went mad! He screamed and raged, hitting people, smashing things, but he faced only beatings.

His execution was brought forward!

Tears had long dried up.

On the day of his execution, at the moment he was about to be shot.

The apocalypse arrived.

Ma Jun always believed that it was the ”Lord” who had come down, to cleanse the world of its sins.

Otherwise, why turn humans into zombies, and then let zombies tear apart humans?

At the moment apocalypse arrived, Ma Jun was reborn.

He found his purpose and reason to keep living.

To obliterate the entire human civilization!

Thus, he not only didn’t resist the zombies, but instead helped them tear apart humans.

As time passed, more and more people joined him.

Even though these zombies wanted to attack them just the same.

But they understood that the Lord meant to cleanse all of humanity.

And being humans themselves, they knew that after cleansing the rest of humanity, they too must sacrifice themselves to the zombies to achieve final spiritual purification.

His self-CPU was still very powerful...

He had never seen the Lord, but the zombies were the miracle of the Lord!

...

Gansheng, just to the north of where Third Uncle and the others were.

Less than 200 kilometers away.

Gansheng provincial capital city, suburbs, prison.

hours had passed since the Zombie Tide.

The next day, 7 AM.

Third Uncle looked at the weakening flames under the wall, then said to Dapao: ”Throw some more diesel onto it.”

Dapao replied, ”Third Uncle, we’re left with less than half of our diesel...”
