Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Li Haoran rushed excitedly to Li Yu and asked, ”Big brother, I saw a lot of stuff in the car and many strangers. Are they new members?”

Li Yu smiled and nodded, then said to Uncle Qin who was getting off the car, ”Uncle Qin, come here for a moment, I want to introduce you to our situation here.”

Uncle Qin got off and then gestured to Zhou and his companions from another car to come over.

Li Yu turned around and scanned the crowd that had alighted, not seeing Second Uncle, whom he usually saw when he returned from trips. Curiously, he asked.

Uncle pointed towards the back door and said, ”Your Second Uncle is at the back door, patrolling with some folks. We’ve already notified him, and he’s on his way here now.”

Li Yu nodded, then introduced Uncle Qin and Uncle to the approaching folks, ”This is my uncle, who was formerly the captain of the Armed Police in the county and is now mainly in charge of the base protection.

This is Uncle Qin, a comrade-in-arm of Third Uncle, and beside him is Zhou, who was with Uncle Qin. They both changed from military to civilian, and just where we went, to the lathe factory, they had been working there before the apocalypse and stayed there ever since.

It was also thanks to them that we managed to transport the lathe back.”

Uncle Qin quickly said, ”To talk about help, it was Director Li and your group who helped us more. Being able to meet Director Li this time was really our luck. If not for you, we would probably have been fighting to the death with the White Lotus Sect.”

Listening to their conversation, Uncle thought of Li Yu’s Third Uncle, who had always been a mysterious figure, and was amazed for days after learning about Third Uncle’s previous occupation.

That’s freaking awesome.

That is, in the entire system, the most elite special forces, the top team.

He had only heard of them in legends.

Unexpectedly, Li Yu’s Third Uncle was not only in this special forces team but also the captain.

Listening to what Li Yu said, this was his Third Uncle’s comrade-in-arms, evidently a remarkable person too.

So, with a smile on his face, Uncle greeted Uncle Qin and the others warmly, ”Welcome, our base really needs talents like you.”

After exchanging a few cordial words.

Second Uncle also arrived, seeing the strangers beside Li Yu, his face showed a hint of puzzlement.

But since Li Yu had already decided to bring them in, there must be his considerations, so he didn’t ask.

Seeing Second Uncle coming over, Li Yu briefed him about Uncle Qin and others, and Second Uncle suddenly realized and then was overjoyed.

The base currently has 140 Inner City Personnel, 40 in the Outer City, and a total of 180 people including both Inner and Outer City.

There are about 40 Extra Staff at present, but most are either single or in groups of two or three, and some are talented individuals.

In total, the number reaches more than 220 people.

However, like Uncle Qin and the others, who can both work in the factory and have commendable combat capabilities, there were none yet.

Now suddenly having nearly thirty people, if these people were absorbed, the base’s strength could climb to a new level, gaining a significant increase.

Currently, there are over a thousand unopened guns in the storeroom, now not directly distributed to people outside the Inner City.

Second Uncle joyfully clasped Uncle Qin’s hands and sincerely said, ”Welcome to joining us, your arrival is truly timely. Welcome, a warm welcome.”

Seeing Li Yu’s Second Uncle, his face beaming with joy.

Standing behind all the while, Third Uncle had a faint smile; seeing how his second brother looked now.

Somewhat exasperated, he knew all too well what kind of person his second brother was, always shrewd since childhood, even more so after engaging in business, but indeed excellent at maintaining appearances.

Watching Second Uncle like this, it was evident that he didn’t fully trust Uncle Qin and his group.

Although they were his comrades, he could understand Second Uncle’s perspective, as being cautious is also a form of responsibility towards the base and one’s family.

After more exchanges, Li Yu outlined the original plans to Uncle and Second Uncle and others.

And told Second Uncle and others that Uncle Qin and his group were now considered as having joined the base, becoming the base’s Extra Staff.

Hearing this, Second Uncle became even more delighted and said to Uncle Qin, ”Uncle Qin, I am 43 years old, just two years older than you. Henceforth, we are all one of us. Inside our base, as Li Yu said, there’s no mess; it’s all our people.

But, everything must follow the rules, you should be able to understand that?”

Uncle Qin understood the earlier part, but hearing about the rules, he was somewhat confused.

Seeing him like this, Second Uncle explained, ”Our base can cultivate crops, but to feed so many people isn’t easy, hence the rules we have set; the distribution of food, it’s all based on Contribution Value.”

Uncle Qin nodded and said, ”Yes, I understand completely, that’s correct, I fully support that.”

Li Yu interjected, ”Second Uncle, the contribution of this lathe this time is theirs, which can be exchanged for food based on the Contribution Value.”

Second Uncle frowned slightly and said, ”This....”

Then, seeing Li Yu’s insistence, finally relaxed his brows and said, ”We need to be realistic, some things must be made clear. In principle, it counts when you bring the items over here, you were supposed to transport the stuff yourselves.”
