Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Seizing the moment, Yang Yu leapt into the air and landed on the falling giant stick.

Using ”Climbing”, he steadied his stance and climbed along the stick to the Mud Giant’s arm, and then up to its shoulder.

The Mud Giant paid no attention to Yang Yu and, in coordination with another Mud Giant, pulled out a thick stick and thrust it straight toward Lotcar.

Lotcar sidestepped with ease, dodging the two sticks that fell one after the other.

But this was not enough to relax, as a group of giants in front of Lotcar also lifted their sticks and struck straight down at his head.

Several Glowing Arrows were fired in rapid succession, and a few Frost Ice Arrows shot out like cannonballs, striking hard at the two Mud Giants in front from both sides.

The movements of the two Mud Giants slowed down, and seizing this opportunity, Lotcar suddenly accelerated, bypassing the Mud Giants in front of him.

The two Mud Giants were unwilling to let Lotcar escape with Bai Jin and Iyas just like that.

Without fully turning around, they smashed their sticks down fiercely toward Lotcar.

Unfortunately, it was too late.

The two sticks only kicked up a cloud of dust.

Lotcar passed through the dust storm and continued with the original plan, gathering the scattered Mud Giants together so that Bai Jin could focus her firepower on them.

Standing on the shoulder of the Mud Giant, Yang Yu drew his sharp blade and launched slashes at the giant’s face right in front of him, like a sculptor, shaving off the mud on its face and inflicting tangible damage.

But this Mud Giant remained oblivious to Yang Yu’s attacks, moving its huge body toward Lotcar.

The mud that was chipped away by Yang Yu danced in the air as if alive, returning to the Mud Giant’s face, refreshing its visage.

Failing to attract the giant below, Yang Yu pondered for a moment, then launched a relentless attack, sword after sword striking the face of the clay giant, intending to turn its rugged face into that of a delicate one.

This series of attacks finally provoked a response.

The Mud Giant carrying Yang Yu seemed to finally notice the foreign object on its shoulder and turned its clubless hand to swat at Yang Yu as if brushing off dust.

Yang Yu pushed hard with his feet, driving the sword blade deeper into the Mud Giant’s back and sliding to the ground from its back.

With a cut opened in its back, the Mud Giant lifted its enormous foot to stomp on Yang Yu.

But Yang Yu had already accelerated and was well out of its attack range, running toward other Mud Giants that had not yet been injured.

Apart from the one Yang Yu had injured, the other three Mud Giants still pursued Bai Jin and the others.

It was the damage he had inflicted on that giant, which exceeded that inflicted by Bai Jin and the others, that redirected the giant’s wrath onto himself.

The other Mud Giants that had not been hurt by Bai Jin and company but were chasing after them—if they were first wounded by him, which side would the Mud Giants attack? Yang Yu had to check.

Yang Yu’s speed was already beyond measure; compared to him, these Mud Giants were simply too slow.

Moreover, Yang Yu had just stacked the Passive ”Blazing Blood” on that Mud Giant, enhancing his own attributes significantly.

With the effects of ”Blazing Blood” yet to fade, Yang Yu reached a group of Mud Giants and his sharp blade struck at their ankles.

The Mud Giants raised their enormous sticks, poking at Yang Yu time and time again, while their feet stomped the ground relentlessly, aiming to turn Yang Yu into minced meat.

Confirming that Mud Giants indeed attacked the first enemy that inflicted damage upon them, Yang Yu disappeared in the dust raised by the Mud Giants, leaving marks on the bodies of one Mud Giant after another.

The marked Mud Giants instantly changed their target, swinging their clubs and launching their Skills, striking toward Yang Yu.

Judging the falling point of each attack as well as the range of the Skills, Yang Yu carefully moved around while opening up the Illusion Shield to block countless flying stones.

Around twenty Mud Giants, due to Yang Yu, a common enemy, gradually gathered together.

And behind Lotcar, more and more Mud Giants were also being drawn together by the efforts of Bai Jin and others, resembling a spectacular giant marathon.

Apart from a few Skills, Bai Jin’s Skills couldn’t fully cover all the Mud Giants and could only deal with them in batches.

Yang Yu attracted some of the Mud Giants’ hatred to lighten Bai Jin’s burden.

Raising the Magic Wand and chanting, powerful magic was released from the tip of Bai Jin’s Wand.

But no matter the gale, torrential rain, wildfire, lightning, or ice magic, these Mud Giants remained stalwart, facing the magic sprayed by Bai Jin, they followed closely behind Lotcar, swinging their clubs, unleashing Skills, relentlessly pursuing Bai Jin and the rest.

The Ninth Tier of the Hall of Power wasn’t boundless but a square room.

Without a planned route beforehand, running wildly in all directions would only lead to being cornered by these bulky Mud Giants and ground into pieces.

Gradually, Lotcar began to see the boundary of the maze; several massive Mud Giants behind him stretched out their Long Sticks, intending to attack in all directions to block escape routes and trap Lotcar to death.

A white light shimmered, a chill from Bai Jin’s Wand blew out, transforming into a frigid Blizzard. The pursuing Mud Giants slowed down considerably, but they didn’t give up their attack.

Just as the clubs were about to fall, Lotcar, carrying Bai Jin and the others, skimmed along the wall, utilizing the icy surface left by Bai Jin’s recently used Ice Magic, slid through the gaps among the Mud Giants, and escaped by a hair’s breadth.

Bai Jin and the others were no problem.

Weaving through the Mud Giants, Yang Yu took advantage of an unobservant Mud Giant’s slightly bent knee, stepped onto its chest.

While Lotcar carried Bai Jin and the others in their wild run, Yang Yu continuously tried to find the Mud Giants’ weaknesses.

He once faced ten Mud Giants, using superhuman speed to attack every accessible part of the Mud Giants with his sword, noting the blood loss from different parts.

Sadly, the bodies of these Mud Giants really seemed to be made of mud, with the Blood Volume dropping basically the same regardless of where he struck.

Standing atop a Mud Giant’s head, Yang Yu could take in everything around him.

But before Yang Yu could survey from his vantage point, a heavy club swung violently toward him.

In the nick of time, Yang Yu dodged the attack of that Mud Giant.

The colossal club ”smack—” struck the head of the Mud Giant Yang Yu had been standing on.

Cracks spread downward from the struck head of the Mud Giant as if this giant would crumble at any moment.

However, it was as if these Mud Giants were imbued with some mysterious power, the broken head of the struck Mud Giant cracked but did not disintegrate.

After the official strategy began, attacks between Mud Giants remained effective, still causing extensive damage beyond their attribute panels.

That last strike, the Mud Giant, with a panel Strength of two thousand, dealt ten thousand damage.
