After discussing various possibilities with Queen Ailena, each expressing their own views, Yang Yu smoothly received two new tasks.

The first task, put simply, was an errand run. As a man with considerable experience in running errands, such a minor task naturally was not difficult. What concerned Yang Yu was whether there would be follow-up tasks after completing this one.

Yang Yu still remembered that he had once worn a suit and played an online game called ”Poison Milk Powder,” which included many errand tasks like delivering letters, and even included delivering love letters, from which he got an earful of dog food.

In ”Poison Milk Powder,” Yang Yu naturally inherited the splendid tradition of Africans, always blue skies and white jade, without any surprises.

However, Yang Yu was not pursuing statistics, nor was he addicted to enhancement.

Given his luck, he couldn’t be.

Yang Yu played ”Poison Milk Powder” purely out of a desire to see its storyline, but he later paid less attention to it as the official sources devoured too many books.

Speaking of devouring books, Yang Yu thought of another game that involved a lot of errand running and also devoured books—Shankoushan, even though that game had a decent storyline, it unfortunately loved devouring books and whipped the corpse of a BOSS repeatedly.

Looking at it now, the task of intervening in the war seemed like a main storyline, which likely would proceed like the aforementioned two games, with one task following another.

Yang Yu wanted to know if these tasks could lead directly to the conclusion of the war.

As for the second task ”Elf Queen’s Commission,” Yang Yu had originally wanted the Racial Essence of the Elf Clan, but Queen Ailena straightforwardly told Yang Yu that, for some reason, they did not have Racial Essence like other sub-human species.

Long ago, the Queen of Mingtu Saiqiu had once asked for a Racial Essence collection device from a certain species, trying to collect the Racial Essence of the Elf Clan, but ultimately failed.

Perhaps the Elves were very special, or maybe collecting the Racial Essence of Elves required special tools, but those tools had disappeared into the dust of ancient times.

Such occurrences were not rare.

When the powerful members of a species are scarce, Racial Essence can no longer be collected.

Without the exclusive collection devices, Racial Essence cannot be collected either.

And most Racial Essence collection devices are exclusive to a specific group; other species cannot use them.

Once some Racial Essences disappear, they are gone forever.

Without the Racial Essence of the Elves, Yang Yu was extremely disappointed.

However, he had intended to keep a low profile, and if he accidentally became too handsome by using the Elf Racial Essence, he would not be able to keep it.

Being handsome is a sin, and he was not ready to bear that sin.

However, life is unpredictable, and if other racial essences forced him to bear this sin in the future, he would have no choice but to reluctantly accept it.

Without the Elf Racial Essence, Yang Yu had to settle for something less, looking to see if the ancient elves had any spectacular Secret Treasures. If he could obtain a Legendary-level tool, that would be excellent too.

He didn’t need to ask, but once he did, Yang Yu almost wanted to pack up and take away the entire Luoyu City.

Beneath the palace of the Elf Queen was a treasure vault shimmering with strange light, concealing a dozen Secret Treasures, each of Legendary Level.

These precious treasures also served to strengthen the Elf Barrier, which the Elf Queen naturally was not willing to give away lightly.

The previous generation’s Elf Queen, when she went out to help the Hero, had taken only one treasure with her.

Borrowing one was the bottom line that Ailena, the Elf Queen, could accept.

Borrowing just one would not affect the strength of the barrier in the short term, and this period was precisely ten years.

After hearing Ailena’s explanation, Yang Yu did not press further. After carefully selecting, he chose the ”Goddess’s Smile,” which would significantly enhance Iyas’s attributes even though they were not high.

Having made his choice, Yang Yu returned to the palace, where Ailena busily prepared a handwritten letter for Ming Dalak and, as per Yang Yu’s request, also wrote him a letter of recommendation.

”Everything is up to you now.”

Ailena solemnly handed the letters to Yang Yu, which were written in ancient Elvish and imbued with the Queen’s Holy Light, ensuring that Ming Dalak could recognize that they indeed came from the Elf Queen herself.

Taking the letters, Yang Yu stored them in the most prominent spot in his inventory,

”Please rest assured, my Queen, this matter concerns our future, and I will earnestly complete it. Also, my Queen, please do not forget the conversation we just had.”

”I will keep it in mind.”

Saying this, Ailena looked at Yang Yu with a complex expression in her eyes. Despite having lived for centuries, she was being schooled by Yang Yu, who was many years her junior.

In the past, when she heard the stories of Heroes, Ailena often marveled at how such young Heroes could have such realizations.

Yet their Queen took it for granted, merely smiling serenely.

She said one should not get hung up on age, as everyone’s experiences are different. They, the elves, lived long, but most of the time, their lives are repetitive, monotonous, and dull.

At that time, Ailena did not agree with this view, but now, she somewhat understood the Queen of Mingtu Saiqiu’s perspective.

She, too, must have encountered many like Yang Yu in her lifetime.

Following the vines down, Ailena and Yang Yu returned to the bustling square.

As soon as they saw the Elf Queen, the waiting crowd became restless again, pressing close to the barriers made of light, calling her ”my Queen,” eager to get the answers they desired.

Raising her arms, Ailena managed to quiet the restless crowd.

With the Queen’s nod, the Queen’s Guard’s golden light shield turned into twinkling starlight and dispersed.

Standing before the people, Ailena took a deep breath and then announced the outcome discussed with Yang Yu,

”We, the Elf Clan, have decided to assist Wansheng Country in resisting the invasion of the Luoze Empire.”
