Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 408: Chapter 408 Gradual Progress

The stronghold of the Red Blood Rose was situated on the edge of the city, nestled against mountains and waters, featuring a wooden pavilion with a vast courtyard. Besides lush green grass, the courtyard was neatly planted with numerous medicinal herbs, imbuing the area with a robust pastoral ambiance.

As Bai Jin’s Level grew, her perception of Magic Power strengthened. From a distance, she noticed that the stronghold of the Red Blood Rose was shrouded in a powerful Barrier, and she looked at Yang Yu with some concern,

”Should we really seek their help?”

”Of course. Although the Sekamens could provide some assistance, their strength is far from enough to intimidate everyone. We need someone tough enough to completely dominate the field.

So far, the strongest we’ve encountered is Red Blood Rose. They are our only choice.”

Yang Yu smiled casually, patted Bai Jin on the head to alleviate her worries,

”Don’t worry, even if our talks fall through, with the previous agreement they won’t harm us. At most, we’ll be kicked out and feel a bit aggrieved. It’s definitely a worthwhile deal.”

Iyas hung her head and clasped her arms in regret, ”I’m sorry, if I hadn’t been so impulsive, it might have been easier to negotiate.”

”You shouldn’t blame yourself too much. I just thought that without means to retaliate, it would be best to avoid early contact with Red Blood Rose.

But after interacting with them, I realized they are more amenable than expected, which is why I thought of this method.

It’s a blessing in disguise.

If you really want to atone, just do as I tell you.”

After instructing Bai Jin and Iyas, Yang Yu rang the doorbell. In just a few minutes, Sena hurried over to open the door, her face beaming uncontrollably as she twirled her umbrella,

”How come you’re here? I thought you would have left the country by now. That would certainly have been the safest option. Have you finally figured it out and come over to learn how to become a skilled Monster Tamer from me?”

”I’m sorry, that’s not the case. Miss Sena, could you take me to your leader? I have something important I’d like to discuss with him.”

Luo emerged from a corner and upon seeing Yang Yu, he sighed deeply, ”Although I don’t know what brought you here, don’t take advantage of Sena’s bias and misbehave.”

”Not so courteous as usual, still holding a grudge over me defeating you?”

”I’m not that petty. Well... never mind, this is your issue, not mine to worry about.”

Luo, with his lizard-like gaze, stared at Yang Yu and then glanced at Iyas beside him, ultimately biting back his words and turned towards the pavilion,

”Sister Ajing, they’re allowed to visit. I don’t know what’s brought them here, but follow along! Since this is an S-level adventure group’s stronghold, I doubt you’d dare to cause trouble. State your business and leave quickly.”

Yang Yu and the two, along with Lotcar, entered the stronghold of Red Blood Rose.

However, the door of the pavilion was not wide enough for Lotcar to pass through, and Yang Yu simply had He Meng and Lotcar wait outside.

Seeing this, Sena chose to stay back as well, crouching down to poke He Meng’s soft body with her finger.

With her Star Eye, Sena could see the potent Magic Power within He Meng and was curious how the behavior of He Meng, a Royal Slime, differed from other Slimes. She also wanted to test if what she had learned from books could be of any use.

Left outside, He Meng showed no dissatisfaction; he just rolled around on the grass for a while and then lazily basked in the sun, ignoring Sena.

On the other side, under Luo’s leadership, Yang Yu and his group moved forward and arrived at the usual location where Red Blood Rose handled their affairs.

There, Gordon and Wan Jingzhihua had been waiting for a while.

Gordon, sitting on the sofa, waved to Yang Yu, signaling him to sit down in the chairs around them,

”You arrived just at the right time, last time you restored this item, it truly surprised me. Can you restore it again for me to see?”

Just as Gordon was eagerly handing over the Magic Cube to Yang Yu not far away, Wan Jingzhihua coughed loudly,

”Now is not the time to talk about this. What brings you here this time?”

Taking the Magic Cube from Gordon’s hand, Yang Yu confirmed only the last layer was left, and then quickly restored the Magic Cube and gave it back to Gordon.

”Let’s first talk about the matter I mentioned last time? Does the Goblin Maze really have an eleventh floor?”

Glancing at the pile of documents on the table, Wan Jingzhihua sighed, ”Just as you said, there indeed is an eleventh floor, and many precious treasures.

We have already taken them all away... Besides, there was also a coffin destroyed due to falling stalactites, and we discovered magic power residues there.

If something really revived, what else do you know? Tell us everything you know.”

”There’s no need to be aggressive every time; it doesn’t match your gentle appearance at all.” Yang Yu said with a smile, narrowing his eyes, then suddenly his smile disappeared, and he became extremely serious, ”I indeed know some secrets, but I am not going to tell you so easily.”

Seeing Yang Yu’s confidence, Wan Jing reflected a blinding light on her glasses, ”What exactly will make you willing to tell me? You should know, this concerns many people’s lives; don’t hide the information you know, otherwise...”

Overwhelming magic power erupted from Wan Jingzhihua’s body, as if she could crush Yang Yu at any moment, but Yang Yu remained calm and gradually said:

”Let’s talk about the purpose of my visit here.

Isn’t this what you wanted to hear just now?

As long as you agree to my request, I am naturally willing to tell you what I know.”

Seeing that Yang Yu was unaffected by her, Wan Jingzhihua felt increasingly troubled by him; she had to retract her outward magic power and said as calmly as possible:

”What is your request? If it’s anything unreasonable, you should know the consequences, right?”

”Of course.” Yang Yu snapped his fingers, drawing everyone’s attention toward him, then he looked at Iyas, ”Iyas, take off the necklace you are wearing.”

With a slight pause in her movements, Iyas ultimately complied with Yang Yu’s request, removing the necklace from her neck, and her cognitive impediment instantly stopped working.

Wan Jingzhihua, who had originally thought Iyas was just a more attractive human, suddenly noticed Iyas’s pointed elf ears.

”Are you an elf? Is the necklace you were wearing a magic tool that obstructs cognition?”

”That’s right, you could say that,” Yang Yu continued with a smile: ”I assume everyone still has fresh memories of what happened last time, there are profound reasons behind it.

Before I state my request, Iyas, you first tell your story.”
