The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1529: Chapter 1529: This Time It’s Not an Accident

The agent poured him a glass of water, helped him up to drink, and looked at him somewhat helplessly: ”What else can we do?”

Audrick took a sip of water, his throat tasting like rust.

”Things are about to turn upside down outside.” The agent felt a bit relieved seeing he could drink, and pretended to speak lightly to him: ”You have twenty endorsements, seven or eight ads to shoot, variety shows, and music award ceremonies... Anyway, we’re going to pay quite a bit in damages this time. But fortunately, the company’s supportive, and upon hearing the news, they immediately spent money on PR to suppress the news of your injury, otherwise, there’s no telling how bad it would get outside.”

When Audrick heard that the news of his injury was suppressed, his brows slightly relaxed.

The agent fed him some more water and adjusted the bed for him, to prevent his injuries from being strained by sitting up too much.

Only then did he continue: ”The news of your injury is temporarily suppressed, but some people are taking advantage of the chaos and heard rumors that you skipped work halfway through an ad shoot, wildly spreading news about your diva behavior online. Your heat is high, and even the slightest movement can get on the hot search. So, the topic of you acting like a diva is now pushed up to the top of the Hot Search List, stuck there. The company is in a meeting discussing whether to announce your hospitalization...”

”Don’t announce it.” Audrick didn’t even think and tried to get himself up.

”What are you doing!”

The agent quickly made him lie back down, not to overexert himself, and teasingly said: ”I’m just telling you, don’t get agitated. Aren’t I still here? If I don’t agree, the company definitely won’t make a statement.”

”Okay.” Audrick had forced himself to sit up just now, pulling on his injuries, causing sharp pain again. He frowned, looked at the agent with his large eyes, and his attitude was very firm and stubborn: ”Don’t tell the outside world that I’m hospitalized, and don’t let the news of my injury get out.”

He thought for a moment and instructed the agent: ”Willard, do your best to suppress the heat. Anyway, whatever the cost, I just don’t want to see myself in the news, I’m afraid Nathalie will see it and worry...”

Upon hearing him mention Nathalie Quinlan, the agent rolled his eyes in exasperation: ”I knew you didn’t want outsiders to know because of Ms. Quinlan!”

Audrick didn’t refute.

”Rest assured, I’ll speak with the company.” The agent, despite his complaints, tucked him in properly and glanced at him sideways, grumbling: ”Anyway, you’ve got money, you’re just playing around in the entertainment circle, it’s a pity I finally manage to groom a top star, and when something happens, he’s not as anxious as this ’eunuch’ here!”

Audrick Zachmann is a bona fide top star.

His fan club, [Pear Blossom], is famously combative in the fan circles.

If the news of Audrick’s hospitalization got out, it would definitely dominate the hot search, potentially crashing all of Twitter.

But Audrick, forcing back the hot search and unable to appear for three months, with all work pushed aside, would definitely find black critics spreading rumors online, saying he’s unprofessional, that he’s acting like a diva... basically exploiting his popularity!

Popularity is the original sin.

Audrick seemed somewhat exhausted, closed his eyes, unwilling to speak further.

The agent saw his lips still pale and weak, and his anger subsided. He spoke to the sick person lying on the bed: ”Oh, by the way, that staff responsible for the wire work at the scene ran away.”

Audrick finally opened his eyes to look at him, curling his fingers, frowning, and in a dry voice asked: ”Ran away?”
