The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1524: Chapter 1524: Anyway, Nathalie Already Fell Out with Them Long Ago

”That’s good.” Jethro heard that Nathalie was alright, and felt relieved, as he was about to open the car door to send Silvania Ingram back.

Suddenly, he heard Silvania’s contemplative voice.

”I just saw Leonardy leaving here in a hurry, not sure if something happened.”

Jethro looked up at her immediately, his line of sight firm: ”Mr. Ingram, do you want me to find out what’s going on?”

Silvania, in her forties but impeccably groomed, had never been married or had children, so her skin was taut and glowing. Coupled with her fitting attire, she looked no more than in her early thirties, exuding a mature, full-bodied charm that a young girl wouldn’t have.

She furrowed her brow, fingers tapping idly on the steering wheel, seemingly lost in thought.

A moment later, Silvania shook her head and said, ”Forget it, you don’t need to go. Anyway, the Zachmann family Room Two has long been at odds with Nathalie. Their issues don’t concern us. She just returned from Orlais, and there’s no point in letting Room Two disturb her mood... Better not to know.”

Jethro also found her reasoning sound and didn’t mention going to investigate again.

In a hotel in Sablehaven.

Nathalie hung up the phone call with Silvania and placed her phone on the tea table.

The sound of water splashing in the bathroom came to a halt.

Shortly after, Amadeus Yancey emerged from inside, dressed in a bathrobe.

His black hair was still dripping wet, yet it didn’t detract from his fine-featured face. In the light’s embrace, the man had a high nose bridge, extremely fair skin, and a fit, slender physique hidden within the bathrobe. Nathalie could vaguely see the outline of his waistline’s mermaid lines wrapped in the white bathrobe...

Her eyes were fairly dark, she squinted a bit, somewhat dangerous, looking closely in a certain direction before nonchalantly shifting her line of sight, pressing her lips: ”Put on your clothes properly.”

”...” Amadeus, who was toweling off the dampness from his hair, suddenly heard the girl’s slightly hoarse voice, lowered his head, and only then realized his waist tie wasn’t tied properly.

He re-tied the bathrobe’s belt, walked over, and sat down on the sofa opposite Nathalie, his voice carrying a clear gentleness: ”How’s Mr. Yapiter?”

Nathalie, with her legs crossed, blinked her weary eyes: ”I’ve already used the Pharmaceutical Association’s medicine on him. For now, he’s stable, various health indicators have temporarily settled down, we’ll see how it goes...”

Her words were vague, but Amadeus could pretty much guess that Owen Yapiter was temporarily out of life-threatening danger.

He nodded, his tone relaxed: ”That’s good.”

Nathalie turned her head to glance at him, seeing his hair still dripping, she thought for a moment, then said: ”Need me to dry your hair for you?”

Amadeus had a moment’s doubt about his hearing, Nathalie was fine with everything, but she hated troublesome things. She would sometimes leave her own hair to air dry after washing it. This time, Nathalie unexpectedly offered to dry his hair...

He was briefly distracted, but the next second his Adam’s apple rolled up and down naturally as he leaned back on the sofa: ”The hairdryer is in the bathroom drawer.”

”Alright.” Nathalie responded, got up, placed the bottle of mineral water down, and walked towards the bathroom.

A minute later, she came out holding the hairdryer, plugged it in, and, with a demeanor somewhat laissez-faire, began to dry the man’s hair.

When she blew her own hair, she would roughly dry it, but while drying Amadeus’s hair she was quite patient, her actions were slow and it was obvious she was earnestly trying: ”...I’m not very good at this.”

—— not very good.

This phrase seemed to spawn various interpretations.

Amadeus couldn’t help but chuckle, his thin lips curled into a smirk, somewhat teasing: ”I think it’s alright.”
