The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1507: Chapter 1507: They Can’t Reach Amadeus Either

”No, I haven’t.” Brian Bonette sat by the window.

While Govert Griffin and Sadam Vinson were chatting, he remained silent, constantly focusing on his phone, afraid of missing a call from Jeremiah Bonette.

However, his phone remained on the table all day, without a single call.

Jeremiah Bonette still hadn’t called, and even Carmen Radcliff, who was with him, hadn’t made a move...

”It’s been almost eight hours, why haven’t we received any news!” Sadam Vinson couldn’t contain himself, scratching his head until he nearly tore it apart.

He also paid no mind to Caryn Zachmann sending messages to Govert Griffin, tossing the nicotine inhaler onto the table and standing up, pacing back and forth on the spot.

He wasn’t sure what he was thinking about, but suddenly stopped, his gaze sweeping past Nadya Tucker and the others, and stared intensely at Brian Bonette, speaking in a tense tone: ”Do you think Uncle Jeremiah has forgotten about us?”

Brian Bonette sat by the window, the light gleaming on the metal buttons of his collar.

All eyes were on him.

Brian Bonette, with a solemn expression, decisively broke his speculation: ”Impossible. I told my uncle to contact me immediately if there was news about Amadeus. He hasn’t called me back, which means there’s still no news about Amadeus.”

Sadam Vinson was still unwilling to give up, opening his mouth, originally wanting to suggest that he makes a phone call over there.

Brian Bonette pushed up the gold-rimmed glasses on his nose and said: ”Even if he was busy and forgot, Mr. Radcliff would remember to inform me. Neither of them has any news right now, meaning they haven’t gotten in touch yet...”

Sadam Vinson’s eyes dimmed, sitting back down in frustration.

In Rivendell, Govert Griffin and Nadya Tucker kept silent.

They had also heard about the situation in Sablehaven; Amadeus and Mr. Bonette went there to retrieve something, then Mr. Bonette returned first, while Amadeus stayed behind to handle the aftermath.

Who would’ve known that yesterday, Sablehaven suddenly experienced a heavy downpour, breaching the riverbank.

The place where Amadeus and the others stayed happened to be hit by a mudslide, and now that area has completely lost contact with the outside world.

The cars outside won’t go in.

The people inside can’t get out.

With the constant downpour, even the signal base station inside was washed away, leaving the area without any signal at all.

Now, those outside can’t reach those inside, nor can they determine the situation there.

Jeremiah Bonette is in charge of this rescue operation.

Now, they can only wait for news from Jeremiah Bonette.

Sadam Vinson hadn’t been able to contact anyone all day, he tried calling Amadeus Yancey, but to no avail.

The same happened when he tried calling Alfred Garland; he couldn’t get through either.

Amadeus had been out of touch for nearly 24 hours...

Sadam Vinson felt like there were a million ants crawling in his heart, even if he sat down, he was restless; he could barely sit quietly for ten minutes before raising his eyes to look at Brian Bonette and said: ”Can you try contacting your uncle again, Nathalie is coming back, and I’m afraid we can’t keep this hidden.”

Before the news of the landslide in Sablehaven came out, he had been sending game team-up messages to Nathalie Quinlan every day, trying to get her into the car team and hoping to carry her to victory in the game.

After he couldn’t get in touch with Amadeus, Sadam Vinson didn’t dare send any messages to Nathalie Quinlan anymore.

Since morning, he had stayed quiet as a mouse.

Fortunately, Nathalie Quinlan didn’t contact him.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t know how to break this news to Nathalie Quinlan.

Brian Bonette hesitated for a moment, said nothing, and picked up his phone to go outside, likely to contact Jeremiah Bonette to ask about the situation.

The next day.

At ten in the morning, Nathalie Quinlan stepped out of Capital City Airport, hailed a taxi on the roadside, and opened the car door to get in.

”Driver, to Rhine.”
