The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 893: Chapter 893: Celine Tucker Feels Unwell

”It won’t take long to throw away some ’trash’.” The person on the other end imitated her tone of voice, lazy and indolent, ”Wait for me, I’ll come inside to find you.”

Nathalie Quinlan lifted her eyelids and looked in Mr. Zachmann’s direction, speaking in a hoarse voice, ”I’ll go over and greet my grandpa and them first. You come straight here to find me.”

She was already here; it wouldn’t make sense not to go over and say hello to Mr. Zachmann and the others.

”Mhm, alright.” Amadeus Yancey’s tone was relaxed with a smile that was enticing beyond measure, ”I got it, I’ll come find you.”

Nathalie was somehow flustered by him for a moment, hung up the phone, pressed down on the brim of her hat, and walked toward Leonardy Zachmann and the others...

*

At the same time, there was someone else walking in that direction.

A little faster than her.

The man appeared quite young, around twenty-seven or twenty-eight, tall with his whole body dressed in black. His skin was very pale, his features clear-cut but inconspicuous, yet they bestowed upon him an air of mystery, captivating anyone who laid eyes on him, making it impossible to look away.

He and Lowie Wilmar entered one after the other, with most people only noticing Lowie and not him.

He didn’t mind that. After entering, he stood in a corner for a while, seemingly making a phone call. After hanging up, seeing that there weren’t many people around Mr. Zachmann anymore, he slowly walked over with a bag in hand.

”Where’s Celine Tucker? I haven’t seen her since earlier,” Mr. Zachmann was still talking with Leonardy Zachmann.

When Celine was mentioned, Leonardy’s expression showed a hint of awkwardness as he sheepishly said, ”She’s not feeling well, went outside to rest. She will come back later. Dad, are you looking for her? Then I’ll go call her in.”

They hadn’t expected Nathalie’s graduation banquet to draw such a crowd.

As one of the hosts, Celine should have been there greeting the guests alongside him, but had disappeared early on.

Leonardy Zachmann was clearly aware of the reason behind Celine’s ”discomfort,” yet it wasn’t appropriate to spell it out to Mr. Zachmann.

If he could guess the reason, Mr. Zachmann could surely do the same. Ericko Zachmann’s eyelids drooped slightly, his hand resting on the arm of the wheelchair, stopping him, ”Let it be. If she’s not feeling well, let her rest. All the expected guests have arrived; we don’t need her help greeting them. She can come back after a good rest. In any case, she should at least attend Nathalie’s graduation banquet for the meal.”

”Mhm, I will send her a message later,” replied Leonardy, his cheeks burning with embarrassment as he dryly responded.

While they were talking, Leonardy caught sight of the man walking toward them and suddenly remembered what he had previously forgotten to mention, ”Dad, Jaycent Kingsley is here.”

”Jaycent Kingsley?” Mr. Zachmann had originally been preoccupied with why Nathalie hadn’t yet shown up. Hearing the name he brought up, Mr. Zachmann too was startled, reacting strongly, ”Why would he come here?”

”I don’t know,” Leonardy shook his head, glanced at the young man walking toward them, and lowered his voice, ”That’s what I just wanted to tell you about, but then I got distracted and forgot to mention it.”

”The man is already heading over this way; what should we do?”

Jaycent Kingsley was quite the enigma in Beijing. He hardly ever mingled with people from their circle. Among the guests that came today, some were not closely acquainted, but at least they would see each other in social settings, familiar faces.

But this Jaycent Kingsley, he truly had never made contact with him.

All he knew was that Jaycent Kingsley, despite his youthful age, had a formidable reputation. Among Beijing’s younger generation, he was outstanding, not lightly called the ’Stock Market Buffett.’ Many people wanted to woo him, but couldn’t even see his face. He just couldn’t fathom why Jaycent Kingsley would show up here today.
