The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 890: Chapter 890: Face Slap Wave Two

Caryn Zachmann seemed to have directly ignored Govert Griffin’s reply and mentioned him again.

Once was enough, Sadam Vinson didn’t want to publicly embarrass her.

But Caryn didn’t just mention him once; even the most patient person would get annoyed. He smirked, his gaze scattered as he slouched, looking no different from a spoiled rich kid. But those who got along well with Brian Bonette and Amadeus Yancey couldn’t possibly be naive.

Caryn repeatedly mentioned him in the group. To say there wasn’t any hidden implication, he simply didn’t believe it.

After all, today Mr. Zachmann had been making phone calls everywhere, and many people in Beijing knew that the Zachmann Family was holding an entrance celebration for their granddaughter who came from McKinney.

Not only did Caryn not attend herself, but she also mentioned playing together in the afternoon and repeatedly brought him up—her intentions couldn’t be more obvious.

Nathalie had just arrived in Beijing, and she hadn’t even finished her meal when Caryn started to alienate her in their circle.

She could alienate Nathalie all she wanted, but there was no need to bring him into it and use him as a weapon.

Sadam Vinson was becoming impatient and didn’t care about giving face anymore!

He casually picked up his phone, took a photo in the banquet hall, and sent it to the group without waiting for Caryn or anyone else to reply.

He leisurely typed and sent another message.

[I’m eating outside, won’t come.]

In the casual photo, he happened to capture Candice Yancey and others, including Shawn Norton and Jackson Wafford, standing together in conversation.

Once the photo was sent, the group became lively.

[Mr. Vinson, where is this? Why do I see Mr. Norton?]

A few other people they all knew were there, but they dared not call out their names.

A series of messages followed, all asking where he was.

What meal he was having.

Seeing the above messages, Sadam Vinson knew some people Mr. Zachmann had called had made excuses to avoid coming; they hadn’t wanted to come.

Now, he slowly, with a hint of sarcasm, replied: [You don’t know? It’s the entrance celebration of Amadeus’s sister, I came to have a meal.]

People immediately started asking who it was.

Sadam Vinson didn’t conceal it, not leaving any face for Caryn, and directly mentioned her in the group.

[Speaking of which, it’s someone familiar to @Caryn Zachmann, Mr. Zachmann’s newly found granddaughter from McKinney, Nathalie Quinlan, also my sister.]

The phrase ’also my sister’ clearly showed his support for Nathalie!

The group fell into an eerie silence.

Those who were active in this group were usually the same people they hung out with; even if they didn’t make it into Sadam Vinson’s core circle, at least they touched the fringe of that circle.

So how could they not know that Caryn didn’t like her newly found ’cousin’? Everyone had been flattering Caryn quite a bit—groveling, saying they were free in the afternoon, willing to get together to play.

Now, with Sadam Vinson’s message sent, everyone was left feeling awkward.

Amid the awkwardness, many were still confused—what was going on? Wasn’t Miss Zachmann always close with Mr. Vinson? Why did Mr. Vinson seem to give more importance to that girl from McKinney?

The group was silent for a long time.

Earlier, Caryn had been very active, replying every now and then, even mentioning Sadam Vinson twice.

Now, with Sadam Vinson’s reply also mentioning her, she acted as if her phone wasn’t by her side, completely unresponsive in the group.

Govert Griffin was also watching the group, finding the whole scene amusing.
