The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 872: Chapter 872: Ghania Quinlan was in a sorry state this time, having taken a painful fall

Ivy Wilmar said in an indifferent tone beside her, ”The International Piano Association has already deleted that tweet and posted your apology video, but there are still a lot of scolding voices below. If public opinion continues to criticize like this, the application form you filled out to become a member of the International Piano Association will simply have to be voided. I cannot submit it amid such a public opinion environment.”

There are also piano associations in China, of course, but their status certainly isn’t on par with the International Piano Association.

Ivy herself is the president of a domestic piano association and just a regular member of the International Piano Association. However, in China, there is one recommendation slot every year to suggest someone for membership in the association.

This year, she used her position to recommend Ghania Quinlan.

Considering Ghania Quinlan’s age, it was a bit premature for her to enter the International Piano Association, but thanks to her successful apprenticeship under Master Steven and the major piano award she won with her teacher, even though Ghania was young, when Ivy submitted her name, the people below didn’t have much to comment on.

But now, with this incident causing a stir, there was already dissatisfaction within the association, with objections being raised.

She might be the president, but the piano association wasn’t Ivy Wilmar’s private domain; she had to consider the feelings of others to win them over!

Ghania Quinlan’s face turned pale, and she pinched the palm of her hand. Tears hung on her eyelashes, ready to fall, as she stood there, holding herself up and whispered an apology, ”Auntie, I’m sorry...”

”That’s enough, don’t give me that act. What’s the use of apologizing to me? My forgiveness won’t change the facts. The thing you’ve done has angered the public.”

Ivy didn’t yet know that Lighten Chaser’s real identity was Nathalie Quinlan; her expression quite annoyed, she said to the girl who stood there like a post, ”Whoever you could have copied from, you had to copy from Lighten Chaser? Lighten Chaser’s content always gets a lot of traffic. She could sneeze, and it would be on the hot search. You used her stuff, weren’t you afraid of being caught? What were you thinking?”

”I...” Ghania Quinlan quickly lifted her head, stealing a glance at her, then clenched her palm again, filled with a sense of grievance in her heart, ”Previously, Caryn wanted to apprentice under Mr. Norton and at Mr. Norton’s birthday party she also...”

Her words were cut off by Ivy’s cold interruption, ”Are you saying Caryn pulled the same stunt at Mr. Norton’s birthday party?”

Emilia Sullivan’s eyes lit up, and she suddenly found herself short of breath again. Furrowing her brows, she immediately said from the side, ”If someone else has done it before, why is Lighten Chaser so fixated on Ghania, is she sick or something?”

”Heh.” Ivy couldn’t help but laugh, her words scornful and indifferent as she dealt her a soft rebuke, ”She’s sick? You steal her stuff and blame someone else for stealing it too. What, is there a queuing system now for catching thieves? You steal after someone else has, and if they catch you first, you want to go to their house and argue about it?”

Emilia Sullivan had never been treated like this before. Ever since Ghania Quinlan got involved with the Sullivan family, she had often felt Ivy’s disdain, and with Ghania’s future still depending on Ivy to gain a foothold in Beijing, even with her trembling fingertips, she had no choice but to swallow her anger and dared not utter a word.

Myles Sullivan heard in the afternoon that Ivy had gathered a bunch of friends, intending to introduce Ghania to them. However, during the afternoon tea, Ghania’s plagiarism was exposed on the spot, causing quite a disgrace. Now, as Ivy wasn’t giving Emilia Sullivan any face, he couldn’t say much either...

After all, she was his own sister, and no matter how disgraceful his family of relatives could be, he had no choice but to accept it.
