The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 871: Chapter 871: Amadeus: Collecting Some Interest First

Amadeus Yancey was in a good mood tonight, the corners of his mouth involuntarily turned up several times: ”Up to you.”

Nathalie Quinlan thought for a moment, looked up, and said earnestly, ”Right, I forgot to mention one more thing.”

”What’s that?”

Amadeus Yancey felt that if she now wanted the stars in the sky, he would perhaps crazily try to find a way to pluck them down for her.

Who knew the girl’s fine brows and eyes remained calm as she proposed, ”I have agreed, but there’s a probationary period...”

”Probationary period?” Despite his worldliness, it was the first time he’d heard of a boyfriend having a probationary period. He raised his eyebrows, gazing at the girl in his embrace.

”It’s not long, three months, to see how you perform,” Nathalie Quinlan said under his gaze, her expression unchanging, ”You can refuse.”

He didn’t even want to ask whether his refusal would negate her prior agreement to be in a relationship; without much consideration, he signed an unequal treaty with her.

”Are you sure it’s just three months? You won’t extend it midway?”

”No, just three months!”

Amadeus Yancey’s status was unique; for them to come together, it wasn’t as simple as just declaring their affection—three months was the time she allotted for both of them.

Amadeus Yancey was proud by nature, she had thought before proposing this condition that he might not agree. Yet, the man appeared to have agreed without much thought, ”Then it’s three months. It’s agreed, after three months, I want to be made official.”

”...”

Whether or not he would become official, shouldn’t it depend on the situation after three months?

Nathalie Quinlan had yet to reply to him.

The man’s cool lips pressed down: ”... First, as a little interest.”

Sullivan Family.

Ivy Wilmar, Myles Sullivan, Jeff Quinlan, and Emilia Sullivan were all present.

Ivy Wilmar sat in the corner of the sofa, too angry to even glance sideways at the girl standing and sobbing faintly in the center of the living room.

”Ghania, that’s enough, stop crying, what if you ruin your eyes?” Emilia Sullivan was anxious; she had booked airplane tickets and rushed to Beijing with Jeff Quinlan upon hearing the news in the afternoon, also not expecting the situation to unfold like this. She was at a loss, not knowing what to do.

But seeing Ghania Quinlan stand there and cry for an hour, her heart ached unbearably. She turned her head and looked at her own younger brother, reproached, ”Elliot, say something to Ghania, tell her to stop crying.”

Myles Sullivan rarely denied her the face, his expression cold, and his gaze at Ghania Quinlan as sharp as ice, he rebuked without a hint of mercy, ”Let her cry!”

”This incident turned out this way, and I haven’t even reprimanded her, yet she has the nerve to stand here and cry. Can crying solve the problem? If it can, I’ll cry for her.”

Ghania Quinlan’s face turned whiter, and tears streamed down, not even daring to wipe them with her hand.

Myles Sullivan was truly furious this time; he got up abruptly, stepped in front of her, then hesitated, ”Ghania Quinlan, how many times have I told you not to act on your own, not to act on your own! What were you doing this time, why would you buy an online Water Army to set the pace? What does her admission to Tsinghua University have to do with you? If she doesn’t attend Tsinghua, will it only accept you?”

Ghania Quinlan’s lips moved, her lip color pale, ”I...”

”How many times have I told you, she chose the Chinese Medicine program, which is the worst department at Tsinghua University, Chinese Medicine has long been on the decline. Even if she went to Tsinghua, she wouldn’t have the qualifications to outshine you. As long as you did well yourself, that would be enough to prevent her from turning the tables. Why must you go overboard and give others a handle on you, how do you expect me and your aunt to help you, huh!”
