The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 585: Chapter 585: Alfred Garland: I think Sun is at least in his forties_1

He didn’t realize that his phone call had activated the car’s Bluetooth, and Nathalie Quinlan in the car could also hear it. Elated, he reported to Amadeus Yancey, ”Mr. Vinson personally led the team to raid the goods, and we hit it big this time.”

Amadeus Yancey gripped the steering wheel with one hand, revealing a section of his strong, weathered wrist adorned with a strand of plain Buddhist beads, and beside the beads, a silver bracelet engraved with ’seven,’ eye-catching and sexy. He wasn’t as excited as Alfred Garland on the phone, his demeanor indifferent, as if it was no surprise, casually responding to the caller, ”Yeah, I know.”

Alfred Garland was too excited, failing to notice Amadeus’s composed tone, and continued with barely contained excitement, ”We’ve been tracking this batch of goods for a long time. The folks at the institute have been working overtime for a month without finding where these goods were, but Mr. Vinson is smart, thinking to turn to Red Alliance...”

The person who suggested seeking out the Red Alliance was Amadeus Yancey; Sadam Vinson merely executed Amadeus’s idea.

Alfred Garland, unaware of the ins and outs, really believed that it was Sadam Vinson who thought of turning to the Red Alliance and smacked his lips in admiration, ”The Red Alliance is so incredible! The tech department of The Ninth Institute is about to cry; they found no clues at all. How did they find this batch of goods? Tsk! Such skills, it’s a waste to be a hacker!”

”If only they were willing to join The Ninth Institute,” he said, his voice lowering, tone regretful, ”It’s a shame I’ve heard that people from the Red Alliance aren’t disciplined, acting without plans, just following their moods. Such people, always proud of their talents, are probably not so willing to work for someone. They wouldn’t be content to be driven by us, and who knows what kind of person that ’sun’ from the Red Alliance is, to be able to control this group.”

”They must be led by a very formidable person for the group to willingly listen to ’him,’” he asserted.

Amadeus Yancey glanced over at the girl immersed in her phone, not even lifting her head, her hat brim pulled down low, revealing only a delicate, cool curve, her face hidden from view. But it was clear from the way her fingers sporadically tapped the keyboard that she was likely responding to messages.

He drew his line of sight back, refocused on the road ahead, and with a slight lift of his lips, a soft chuckle spilled from his throat, saying, ”Yeah, a very formidable person.”

sun definitely has something to do with Nathalie Quinlan!

As for being the person himself, he couldn’t be 100 percent certain just yet!

Because someone was too calm, hearing Alfred Garland mention the Red Alliance in the phone call yet remaining cool, head not even lifting, as if it wasn’t about her.

It made him very sure, yet he couldn’t help but reduce that certainty by a fraction.

But he still felt confident, seven or eight parts certain.

His decision to have Sadam Vinson try to contact the Red Alliance also contained a testing motive, because the Red Alliance rarely took orders, let alone orders like this to track goods; they had almost never taken such a job. If they had taken it... Amadeus Yancey with his deep-set eyes and brows, didn’t continue his line of thought.

Alfred Garland kept talking excitedly, ”... Mr. Vinson said the Red Alliance hasn’t taken any Black Market orders for half a year. We got lucky; it’s the first order they’ve taken in this half year, and it was taken by their most skilled, ’sun’! Mr. Vinson said it’s his first time seeing such a formidable figure. Normally, even the people from The Ninth Institute could only find rough information, but this ’sun’ sent him an exact map, along with four words—’The goods are here!’ Tsk, this person is a bit arrogant!”

”He even dares to mess with goods from the Illegal Zone. Truly brave to take on this job—it’s no wonder he’s from the Red Alliance. From his style of doing things, he must be at least in his forties. Without that age, there’s no way to have that kind of boldness and capability!”
