The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 562: Chapter 562: Just in Time to Solve the Pressing Crisis_1

”Ah, that thing.” Ghania Quinlan’s eyes flashed, a hint of a smile emerging at the corner of her mouth as she quickly cut off the other person, pretended to have difficulty saying, ”I heard her family pulled some strings for her, so I’m afraid the whole thing might just blow over. It’s such a pity for the person who got beaten up out of the blue and is still lying in the hospital...”

There was silence on the other end of the phone for a few seconds before they asked her, ”So just like that, Nathalie Quinlan got away with hitting someone?”

Ghania Quinlan smiled wryly, and said lightly, ”She might get away with it. Unless...”

”Unless what?”

Clasping the phone, Ghania Quinlan reined in the ruthlessness in her eyes and said softly, ”Unless someone reports it to the school. Otherwise, this whole affair might just be handled leniently, as if it never happened.”

”Actually, with the fantastic score she got this time, the school surely knows her academic performance. Even if we talk to the teachers, it might not help; they definitely have to protect the student source. The school finally had a student who got into Tsinghua University, especially from our class. This time two people went, and she was the one who got in. It’s normal for the teachers to protect her. You shouldn’t overthink it...”

After speaking, she didn’t deliberately incite Wenny Taylor but simply said what she had to say and quietly waited for Wenny Taylor to think it over for herself.

Wenny Taylor didn’t openly express her thoughts. Ghania Quinlan only heard the girl’s muffled voice over the phone, ”I understand. Thank you, Ghania.”

Upon hearing that voice, the corners of Ghania Quinlan’s mouth lifted into a mocking curve, and most of her concerns dissipated, though she continued with feigned innocence.

”Thank me for what? This time I’ve implicated you. You were doing just fine in Class A, and because I asked you out to eat, I saw that your classmates were quite upset in the afternoon. I’m afraid... afraid they will ostracize you in the future.”

She paused, then added considerately, ”...And Nathalie has always been a bully. Now that you’ve openly sided with me, I reckon she won’t bother with you ever again! If she ignores you, those around her... sigh... maybe it’s not as bad as I thought!”

”...I know her character, she’s just a little punk. She hits people without good reason today, she could do the same to me tomorrow. I won’t just sit around and wait for it to happen!”

”Aren’t you worrying too much? She wouldn’t go as far as to hit you...” Ghania Quinlan finally laughed. Mockery twinkled in her eyes, but it was a pity that Wenny Taylor couldn’t see her facial expression from her home. She only heard Ghania Quinlan’s voice, gentle and kind, advising her, ”Maybe it’s not as bad as you think. If someone else reports this incident and it escalates, the school won’t ignore it.”

The girl on the other end of the phone seemed unwilling to talk more, hastily saying to her, ”Ghania, that’s it. My mom’s coming up, I’ve got to hang up first.”

”Alright.”

Ghania Quinlan hung up the phone.

She smiled slightly, sent another message to Wenny Taylor, placed the phone down, and her previously sullen mood vanished, leaving her usual haughty demeanor. With a smirk, she got up to remove her makeup and take a shower...

The next day.

Nathalie Quinlan was woken up early by her phone’s noise.

Waking up grumpy from being disturbed from sleep, she supported her head with her hand, her eyes narrowed with irritation. She reached for the phone on her bedside and answered the call with choked irritation.

”Hello?”

Having slept late the night before and not very well, her voice was hoarse.

Jhovany Sullivan’s voice came through excited and anxious, ”Nathalie, you need to check out the school forum, it’s blowing up!”
