The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 559: Chapter 559: I’ll Reserve the Tough Spot for You, Nathalie_1

”This music exchange meeting is of a very high rank, led by the Tanzil family, and it’s very difficult to get a spot; it’s essentially a small, private musical gathering to exchange ideas. I heard about it from my aunt, and I wanted to go myself, but my aunt said she couldn’t get a spot.”

His line of sight shifted and fell upon Caryn Zachmann, as he said with a beaming smile, ”However, if it were Ms. Zachmann, she would probably be able to get a spot.”

Caryn Zachmann was exceptionally talented, with a well-known reputation in both the entertainment circle and the classical music community in Beijing. Among the city’s famous ladies, she was noted for her intellect.

At the moment, she picked up her glass, swirled the Tequila inside, hiding the pride and showiness in her eyes. She tucked a strand of short hair behind her ear, slightly lifted her chin, her makeup exquisite, her facial features striking, exuding bright and forthright beauty. She smiled proudly and admitted to everyone, ”Yes, I indeed received the invitation. I will be attending.”

”It’s my honor to attend this music exchange meeting with esteemed people like Mr. Norton, and I intend to go there with the mindset of learning.”

Someone had mentioned earlier that the banquet was of a very high rank, and spots were hard to come by.

Caryn Zachmann acknowledged afterward that she had received an invitation letter.

Even Govert Griffin couldn’t help but look at her with newfound respect, warming slightly from his initially cool demeanor.

At dusk, Ghania Quinlan returned home from the provincial hospital with Jeff Quinlan.

All the way back, she was preoccupied with thoughts about the music meeting.

Upon reaching the doorstep,

She had just said, ”I’m back,”

when Emilia Sullivan quickly came out to greet her, ”Ghania, you’re back?”

She placed both hands on Ghania Quinlan’s shoulders, caressed her face, and looked her over from left to right, her eyes reddening with excitement as she choked up and said, ”You’ve lost weight. And there are dark circles under your eyes, haven’t you been sleeping well recently...”

”I’ve been busy preparing for exams recently, and I have to practice the piano at night, so of course, I don’t have much time to sleep.” Ghania Quinlan said dismissively. After breaking free from her grasping hands, she added impatiently, ”Mom, let me go, please. I need to get inside, I’m tired.”

”Oh dear! Look at me, I got so excited I forgot. Please come in.” Emilia Sullivan let go of her, but followed excitedly, ”I’ve made pigeon soup for you, it’ll be ready soon. I’ll serve you a bowl first. The house helper said it revitalizes the body and replenishes blood. You’re so worn out from the exams, and you’re in poor health; you should really nourish yourself.”

Ghania Quinlan walked to the sofa, bent down to grab a glass of water, and took a sip, not bothering to reply.

Her main feeling was one of annoyance, as she always felt her mother was nagging endlessly by her ear.

Emilia Sullivan, however, was too happy to notice her impatience and continued to speak excitedly, ”I’ve already booked the hotel for your university acceptance celebration; we won’t choose Waterfront this time. I’ve reserved the banquet hall on the third floor of Narayan Hotel. I’ve notified the relatives as well, and I’ve also invited your former class advisor, Ms. Cagwin, and some of your dad’s business partners.”

After finishing, she asked Ghania Quinlan, ”Ghania, is there anyone you want to invite, like any of your classmates? If you want, you can invite them all.”

”Originally, since you were accepted into Tsinghua University, my intention was to throw a grand celebration for you, but your dad said being too high-profile wasn’t good, so we decided to just have a dinner with relatives and friends. Although we’re only calling relatives and friends, having more people will surely make it livelier. If you have friends or classmates you want to invite, feel free to. Our family isn’t lacking the money for that.” She explained to Ghania Quinlan with a touch of regret and disappointment in her voice.

Hearing her mention this, Ghania Quinlan remembered something, looked at her, and said with self-assuredness, ”Aunt said she wants to invite Professor Derliand. Also, I’d like to invite Zayn and Lidya.”

As for the other students from McKinney, like Kelly Giovanni and Sylvia Cadwell, she didn’t think much of them, so, of course, there was no need to invite them.
