The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 566: Chapter 566: Coming to Class Early on Purpose_1

Although she didn’t understand what Amadeus Yancey did for a living, when had the Yancey Family in Beijing ever had so much free time?

Could she be bought over by a bowl of hot and sour noodles?

Amadeus Yancey raised the corners of his eyes, the tails of his eyes carrying the rouge of an early riser. He was still very assertive over some matters and took her phone without any discussion, leading the way, ”Let’s go.”

McKinney No. 1 Middle School was uneasy first thing in the morning.

Students coming to class all said the same thing upon seeing each other in the morning: Hey, have you seen the school forum?

In Class A of the senior third grade, during what should have been the morning reading time, the English class representative did not go up to lead, and there wasn’t a single person speaking in the class. Everyone had pulled out a book and spread it on their desks, but few people were actually reading. Most gazes were fixed on the second seat in the third row.

Wenny Taylor arrived early. She had been sitting at her seat all morning, her back straight, face tense, with little expression, and kept her head down as if she was seriously reading.

Jhovany Sullivan clenched her teeth, looking at Wenny’s ostensibly just and unassailable silhouette and couldn’t help but retch, ”She really can keep her cool, having the nerve to come to class.”

This morning was an English self-study period and though a Chinese book lay open on Justin Wafford’s desk, he leaned against the wall, clearly not engaged in reading. A handsome and sneering face answered with scorn, ”Of course she dares to come to school. She’s just hoping for us to ’bully’ her. It makes a good talk for the forum posts, letting everyone in school know she’s been bullied by our class, and she can even pin this shit bowl on Nathalie’s head, claiming that Nathalie instigated us... Otherwise, why do you think she’d come to class so early, to get beaten up?”

”Pfft! She wishes. She ran to suck up to Ghania Quinlan, but kissed the wrong ass, then posted online to smear Nathalie. How did Nathalie isolate her? How did she form cliques?” Jhovany Sullivan was truly disgusted by Wenny’s actions and coldly said, ”Nathalie has a good personality, we like hanging out with her, so that’s called forming cliques? Besides, have we ever isolated her? Her seat should have been in the third to last row, but because she’s not tall and the teacher mentioned her myopia made it hard to see the blackboard, Clerent Miller voluntarily gave up her front row seat for her. Is that what you call isolation? When did we ever not include her in group activities? She chose not to participate of her own accord and that’s called isolating her?”

”Alright, even if that’s called isolation, it was us who isolated her, what does that have to do with Nathalie? Nathalie just transferred to our class, how long has it been, half a year? She’s been ’isolated’ for three years and yet Nathalie is to blame?”

Justin Wafford saw her face was red with anger, like a ripe apple, and really wanted to take a bite, but neither the time nor the situation was right, so he had to hold back. Silently touching his high bridge nose, he advised her, ”Don’t be too angry. Some people are like that, filled with jealousy, turning green with envy. Even if Nathalie did nothing, they would find a bone in an egg. It’s enough that everyone sees her true colors.”

Jhovany Sullivan put down her book, speaking in irritation, ”So we just let her smear Nathalie in vain?”

”Let’s wait till Nathalie gets here and then discuss it...” Justin Wafford didn’t care much about Wenny Taylor but was more concerned that Nathalie Quinlan hadn’t replied to his messages.

However, the fact that Nathalie hadn’t replied to his messages made him feel more at ease. At least it showed that Nathalie wasn’t taking Wenny’s issue to heart, which meant it wasn’t so serious.

Not as serious as Wenny had said in her post, claiming Nathalie had beaten someone into disability, possibly facing prison.

If it had been that serious, Nathalie would have replied to his messages earlier.
