The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 195: Chapter 195: The Divine Doctor is By Her Side Every Day_1

He looked at Richardo Fisher’s delicate face, his hands in his pockets, a cold sneer in his eyes: ”Even Nathalie Quinlan, who shares no blood relation with Edric, would stand up for him. You are Edric’s dad, what are you doing?”

He had not given Ghania Quinlan a single glance throughout, yet directly plunged her into an abyss!

”I...” Richardo Fisher was caught off guard by this accusation and, dumbfounded, he found himself at a loss for words.

Zayn Fisher, losing his patience, stood up and interjected, ”Mr. Yancey, did Nathalie Quinlan say something to you? There’s been a misunderstanding here. Ghania didn’t do it on purpose; she didn’t push Edric. She fell down with him while trying to pull him back. She...”

Amadeus Yancey’s brows conveyed a trace of sternness, his tone slightly heavy: ”Since when is it your turn to interrupt when I’m speaking?”

He turned his head towards Mrs. Fisher, his expression extremely cold: ”I’ve been wanting to ask, is this the kind of upbringing the Fisher Family provides?”

”Or is Mr. Zayn Fisher simply a case of ’a bad penny always turns up’?”

The ’bad penny’ present was self-evident.

Alfred Garland had just stepped out when he encountered the rare event of Amadeus harshly scolding a woman.

The realization dawned on him.

Amadeus was taking up for Ms. Quinlan.

He had just seen Ms. Quinlan entering with rare materials, calmly instructing the doctors in the ward to prepare for the young master’s surgery, which had taken him by surprise.

Putting the pieces together, he guessed what was happening.

At that moment, his heart was still trembling slightly.

There was no help for it, he was too shocked.

Who would have thought that the miracle doctor they had been searching for far and wide had been by their side all along, and he hadn’t noticed?

Recalling how he had doubted Nathalie Quinlan and even considered having Caryn Zachmann come over to have a try, he felt both foolish and ridiculous.

Fortunately, Ms. Quinlan had not been able to hear the words he and Amadeus had exchanged back then in the operating room; otherwise, his own face would have been burning with shame.

”Mr. Yancey!” Despite the fear of Amadeus Yancey’s family background, Zayn Fisher, still young and hot-blooded, could not stand the humiliation, especially with his girlfriend here. As any man would, he was about to ask what he had done to offend him.

”Zayn, can’t you keep quiet,” snapped Mrs. Fisher, her face alternating between shades of red and white, flushed with embarrassment. She hurriedly stopped her son: ”Do you want to embarrass yourself even more today, is that it?”

Seeing Ghania Quinlan now filled her with an unbearable sense of aversion; she was like a curse. How could she have thought at first that Ghania was any better than Nathalie?

Her eyelids twitched, knowing she had to do something, or else when other members of the Yancey Family arrived, their family would be even more humiliated.

Mrs. Fisher, who had spent decades among the upper crust with her decisive actions, quickly figured out what to do and said to Ghania Quinlan with a stern face: ”Ms. Quinlan, you are not welcome here. Just go home.”

Ghania Quinlan’s beautiful face turned pale in an instant.

”Mom?” Zayn Fisher took Ghania’s hand, declaring loudly, ”Ghania is my girlfriend.”

Ghania Quinlan, who feared Mrs. Fisher but was even more desperate to cling to Zayn Fisher as her lifeline, looked pale as a ghost. She glanced pathetically at Mrs. Fisher and spoke softly to Zayn, ”Zayn, it’s alright. It doesn’t matter. I’ll just go home. Don’t argue with your aunt over me.”

Instead of backing down, her submissive stance made Zayn even less willing to let her go. He firmly told his mother, ”Mom, Ghania is my girlfriend. Edric is also her nephew. If Nathalie can go in, why can’t Ghania stay here? She’s worried about Edric too.”

Mrs. Fisher, who had seen Ghania use this tactic against Nathalie during a visit to the Quinlan Family, once found her to be clever despite her young age. Now, having this trick played on herself made her feel incredibly disgusted.
