The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 181: Chapter 181: Sorry, We Don’t Sell to You_1

She was telling the truth. With Amadeus Yancey’s height, figure, and looks, even a rag would seem designer when worn by him.

Yet, it sounded incredibly ambiguous.

Zayn Fisher’s brow was furrowed, and an irritation without cause rose in his heart.

Just a few days ago, she went to a hotel with some old man, and now she’s flirting with Mr. Yancey. Does she know what family background Mr. Yancey has? Does she think she can reach the Yancey family?

A corner of Amadeus’s mouth lifted. He glanced over at Zayn Fisher with his narrow eyes and felt rather pleased. He turned back, picked up the other clothes hanging in the changing room, and asked in a deep voice, ”What about these? Want me to try them on for you?”

”No need now.” Nathalie Quinlan had been nonchalant at first; if he wanted to try, then he should try. She had invited him out to shop intending to buy him clothes anyway; she could wait if need be.

Unfortunately, an unwelcome guest had come along, disturbing her good mood. She shook her head and, with a grand gesture, said to the sales associate.

”Hello, could you please wrap all these items up for me?”

Saying this, she pulled out a Citibank Black Card.

Amadeus caught a glimpse of the black card she took out and felt a moment of surprise, but it was just a moment—like a pebble dropping into the vast sea, the trace of his shock vanished in an instant.

He stood there, his shirt neatly tailored, looking exceptionally wealthy and not at all as if he was trying to compete for the bill. It seemed he rather enjoyed Nathalie buying clothes for him.

In contrast, Zayn Fisher was visibly taken aback seeing Nathalie casually pull out a black card to pay, his gaze shifting between the two of them.

The sales associate was efficient, wrapping up the items quickly.

Nathalie didn’t want to stay in the same air as certain people, so she went outside to wait.

Amadeus was left with the bag of clothes and her black card, passing by Zayn Fisher and the others with a graceful air.

In a blink, only Zayn Fisher and Nadya Tucker remained at the counter.

”Are we still trying on this piece of clothing?” Nadya held onto the clothes, unsure whether to put them down or keep them.

Zayn Fisher, his face looking terrible, no longer wanted to try it on and said to the sales associate, ”Hello, please pack up this piece of clothing.”

He then turned to the woman by his side, ”I’ll give it to you.”

But no sooner had he finished speaking than the sales associate who had just packaged Nathalie’s items looked uncomfortable and didn’t take his card.

She even told him in front of Nadya, ”I’m sorry, sir, but we’re not selling this piece of clothing.”

Zayn’s handsome face darkened, and he lost his temper right there, ”What do you mean? You just sold one, why aren’t you selling it now?”

”I’m sorry, we’re not selling it anymore. Please don’t make it difficult for me,” the sales associate stood there, embarrassed.

Zayn took a deep breath, his face turning ashen as he refused to hand back the clothes, grinding his teeth with such force it was almost audible, ”Reason! Give me a reason for not selling it to me, and I’ll leave it. Otherwise, no matter what, I’m taking this piece of clothing today!”

Nadya, coming from a prestigious background, hadn’t experienced such a situation before. Her cheeks turned hot with embarrassment as she quickly tried to pull Zayn away, ”Zayn Fisher, let it be. It’s just a piece of clothing. Let’s go to another store.”

Zayn insisted on a reason, his gaze intense, his handsome face contorted with rage. He shook off her hand and confronted the sales associate, ”A reason. Tell me, give me a reason. Are you not selling at all, or just not to me?”

”Sir, please don’t do this,” the sales associate wasn’t afraid of his making a scene but found it unseemly, so she decided not to give him ”face” and bluntly told him, ”Since you insist on knowing, alright then, it’s because our boss won’t let us sell it.”

Zayn Fisher: ”Your boss?”

”Yes, our boss.”

She didn’t care about Zayn’s displeasure as she reached for the clothing, ”Sir, we can’t sell this piece of clothing to you, not to mention other styles. You can’t buy anything from our store! Please don’t make this hard for me. Give me the clothes back, and go look in other stores.”
