The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 153: Chapter 153: Neither the First nor the Second Have a Share!_1

While presenting the eggs and tomatoes to Nathalie Quinlan as if offering a treasure, he said, ”I provided the eggs and tomatoes, so at least give me a small share, right?”

Nathalie Quinlan was quick at making things.

Before long, a fragrant aroma wafted from the kitchen.

As a star who usually didn’t eat dinner, Audrick Zachmann struggled to resist the tantalizing scent from the kitchen, peeking in several times with his neck stretched out.

He almost wished he could turn into the stove’s flame to hurry up the cooking.

Nathalie Quinlan made four portions in total.

She sprinkled finely chopped green onions over the bowls.

The outsiders had been impatient for a while, and when she brought out the bowls of pasta, the dining room was instantly filled with the fragrance of tomato and egg pasta.

”The first bowl is for Edric.”

Nathalie Quinlan gave the first bowl to Edric Yancey, whose eyes curled up in joy, sweetly looking up and saying with a crisp voice, ”Thank you, sister.”

”Here. The spoon.” Nathalie Quinlan also prepared a little spoon for him and placed it in his bowl, reminding him, ”The pasta just came out of the pot and is a bit hot; eat slowly to avoid burning your tongue.”

Audrick Zachmann felt jealous.

He sneakily glanced at the person beside him, tsk, that look—although it appeared serene on the handsome face, he knew his friend’s hidden emotions after all these years.

Definitely as jealous as he was!

The first bowl of Nathalie Quinlan’s tomato and egg pasta wasn’t for the two of them.

Audrick Zachmann and Amadeus Yancey both had their eyes fixed on the second bowl.

They both wore a look of determination!

Amadeus Yancey’s hand was already on the table, ready to claim the second bowl for himself, seeing as he was sitting next to Edric Yancey, it would make sense for him to be served next.

Audrick Zachmann, unwilling to show weakness, kept his gaze firmly on the second bowl in Nathalie Quinlan’s hands, almost wishing his eyes could sprout little hands to snatch it away.

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t notice the two covetous gazes upon her as she naturally passed them by, placing the second bowl of tomato and egg pasta in front of Alfred Garland.

”Edric wanted to eat, so I made it with less salt. If you find it lacking in salt, let me know and I’ll fetch some from the kitchen.”

Alfred Garland was dumbfounded.

He felt two piercing gazes fall on him, almost piercing through him.

Surprised and uneasy, he touched the bowl awkwardly, ”Ms. Quinlan, do I, do I have one too? I’m so sorry.”

Nathalie Quinlan glanced at him with clear eyes, not realizing anything was amiss, and said by surprise, ”Did you have dinner already?”

Alfred Garland, flattered that Ms. Quinlan still remembered him, mainly too intimidated to meet the eyes of Amadeus and Mr. Zachmann, yet couldn’t resist the delicious fragrance, touched his nose and said, ”...No.”

Nathalie Quinlan’s eyes flickered with a bit of mischief, yet her voice was warm, ”Then have a bit. The taste might not be the best, but it’ll fill you up.”

It smelled so good.

Alfred Garland dared not look up, and began eating quietly with chopsticks.

As soon as he tasted it, his eyes lit up.

The tangy tomatoes combined with the savory eggs—although it was a simple recipe, for some reason it tasted incredibly delicious.

It was his first time eating such tasty tomato and egg pasta!

Ms. Quinlan’s culinary skills were too impressive!

Someone was even quicker to react—after only a couple of bites, Edric already began to sweetly praise, ”Sister, this is delicious. It’s the best I’ve ever eaten!”

Nathalie Quinlan couldn’t help but laugh softly, patting his head, ”It’s just tomato and egg pasta, don’t be so dramatic.”

He must have eaten a lot of fancy things since he was young, and probably wouldn’t even want to eat something as simple as tomato and egg pasta normally.
