The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 166: Chapter 166: Scolded Over the Phone by Amadeus_1

The show had been recorded under the painfully awkward circumstances Ghania Quinlan faced alone, her toes clenched tight.

As soon as the show was over, she instinctively wanted to catch up.

To have a chat with Audrick Zachmann.

But Audrick Zachmann didn’t give her the chance; as soon as the program ended, his agent and assistant formed two human walls that blocked all unrelated persons from the outside.

They escorted their artist away, never once giving her an opportunity to approach.

She was left standing there alone, facing the mocking gazes from all around.

This was... the first time she had been so humiliated!

”Mr. Zachmann, did you openly announce your sister’s news and seek her agreement before doing so? Don’t end up making your sister angry and have her ignore you,” the young assistant said.

The assistant had always known he had a cousin who had recently been found.

He adored her immensely, even more attentively than to his own biological sister.

During breaks from work, his greatest pleasure was to brag about how his sister scored on her exams, how beautiful she looked, how gentle her personality was... he boasted to the heavens and lacked nothing.

They were extremely curious, yet up to this point, they hadn’t even seen a single photo of her.

When asked, he always vaguely said that Nathalie didn’t like to take photos.

So, with a sister so gentle and beautiful, who was so compliant and well-behaved around him, and yet he couldn’t even get a private photo of her.

What did this say? It showed that their family artist was a pure ’sister complex’!

In the eyes of a sister complex, beauty emerges!

Audrick Zachmann had been pleased with himself, but when reminded by those around him, he felt guilty and searched for excuses: ”That Ghania Quinlan provoked the situation first. If I don’t tell everyone who my sister is, by tomorrow there will be a wave of press releases online claiming she is my sister.”

Does she deserve that?

The Quinlan family had not yet settled the account of distinguishing the real from the fake heiress with their family; how could he tolerate this so-called ’real heiress’ coming up to take advantage?

”I just mentioned who my sister is, that shouldn’t be a problem, right? Nathalie is so excellent, if you had such an excellent sister wouldn’t you be unable to resist showing off?”

The agent and assistant couldn’t argue with him and opened the nanny van door for him to get on first.

Audrick Zachmann had just stepped into the vehicle and hadn’t even settled comfortably on the spacious leather sofa when his phone started ringing.

He glanced at the caller ID.

Amadeus.

Oh, Amadeus actually had the time to bother with him?

Had The Sun risen from the west?

While curious, he put the phone to his ear, his handsome face casual, ”Hey, Amadeus, are we meeting for a meal? I have a magazine gig this afternoon, if we’re meeting it has to be in the evening.”

”You said on the Tv show that Nathalie is your sister?” Amadeus Yancey’s voice was low and hoarse. Without sounding like cursing, the looming presence came through the phone intensely.

Audrick Zachmann, confused, touched his nose, ”Yeah, I said it. What about it?”

”Did you leave home without your brain?”

Shoot!

Why was Amadeus so aggressive?!

”You’ve caused her trouble.”

Audrick Zachmann’s expression changed slightly, gripping the phone tighter, ”What do you mean, Amadeus? I just acknowledged that Nathalie is my sister, what trouble could that cause? She is my sister inherently, isn’t it okay for me to let everyone know who my sister is?”

Amadeus Yancey’s voice was very cold, chilling to the bone, clearly a sign he was angry: ”It’s not that you can’t let everyone know that she’s your sister, it’s that you chose the wrong time!”

What, acknowledging a sister has to be scheduled according to an almanac, picking an auspicious day?

Isn’t that a bit exaggerated?

Audrick Zachmann was in a daze.

He heard the man on the other end of the phone casually remind him, ”Have you forgotten that the incident of Nathalie getting hurt hasn’t been settled yet? Online, someone deliberately bought social media to fabricate stories, saying she bullied others through her family’s influence, picking on ordinary students. By you revealing she’s your sister at this moment, this issue would have only been known to the people in McKinney at most, but with your influence, I’m afraid this is going to blow up now.”
