The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 172: Chapter 172: The Little Guy is a Peashooter_1

Edric Yancey’s eyes snapped back, and as their gazes locked, those large eyes that resembled Amadeus Yancey’s beautiful ones were pitch-black, very dark, and grave, ”To me, it’s a very big deal! Especially big, even bigger than my own affairs!”

Alfred Garland knew of his fondness for Nathalie Quinlan, but he hadn’t realized the extent to which he’d fall.

He was stunned for a moment, unsure how to console him.

However, Edric Yancey ignored him, turned his head away, and clutched his iPad, pulling up an online post that insulted Nathalie Quinlan.

Below that, he furiously typed out his replies.

[Have you ever met my sister? What gives you the right to say she’s ugly? I think you’re the ugly one, the ugliest!]

[My sister has always had good grades. Just because you scored 30, and she scored 130, you accuse her of cheating, haha!]

[That girl started bullying my sister first. So what if she doesn’t have a dad? I don’t have a mom either, but I haven’t bullied anyone!]

[My sister is prettier, kinder, and cuter than her. My sister also doesn’t have parents. You all know nothing and still bully her; you’re all bad people! Hateful people!]

Alfred saw his fingers flying across the screen as he typed, just like a little pea shooter.

He wished he could spray all those who insulted Nathalie Quinlan.

As he typed furiously, his eyes reddened with passion.

Tears lingered on his eyelashes as his emotions plummeted, and he whispered to himself, ”Uncle Alfred, why do they all have to bully my sister? They don’t even know her, so why do they badmouth her?”

Some comments were particularly nasty.

They called his sister a fake rich girl who deserved to be abandoned from the start.

If it were their own daughter, they would wish she drowned in the toilet.

”Young master, please don’t cry,” Alfred said as his heart broke at the sight of his tears.

Just then, the door sounded.

Edric Yancey quickly wiped the tears from his face with his sleeve, looking as if nothing had happened. He jumped off the sofa, slipped on his shoes, and scurried toward the door.

The moment Nathalie Quinlan walked in, she was immediately greeted by a soft and cuddly little head burrowing into her embrace.

”Sister, I missed you~!”

Nathalie held him close and ruffled his head, looking down to ask him, ”Were you well-behaved at home today?”

”Mhm, I was very good.”

Edric Yancey fished a pink note out of his pocket, the paper neatly folded into a cute heart shape, which he then stuffed into Nathalie Quinlan’s arms.

”You can look at this later.”

Amadeus Yancey, walking behind, saw the note he had stuffed and raised an eyebrow, ”What have you written there?”

”It’s something you’re not allowed to see!” Edric Yancey’s face flushed red as he clung to Nathalie Quinlan, not letting go. After a long moment of shifting his weight from one foot to the other in embarrassment, he finally lifted his head and gazed at Nathalie with his grape-like eyes, reflecting her image, ”Sister, don’t be scared. I will definitely protect you! I won’t let anyone bully you!”

Ha!

Amadeus Yancey grabbed him by the collar and yanked him away from the troubled girl, pulling him aside, and said heartlessly, ”Just take care of yourself. I’m here for my sister. It’s not your place as a five-year-old child to worry.”

Being abruptly separated from the soft embrace, Edric Yancey instinctively clenched his teeth, ready to lash out in anger, but then he caught a glimpse of Nathalie Quinlan still there.

He forcibly suppressed the anger welling up inside him.

He might not be a child of the Yancey family. If he wasn’t picked up from the garbage bin by mom, then his little uncle must have been retrieved from the garbage bin by grandpa.

They definitely had no blood relation.
