Urban All-Round Master

Chapter 193: Chapter 196 The Clear Division Between Wealth and State

Chapter 196: Clear Distinction Between Personal and Monetary Issues

”Boss, you can’t just throw me under the bus like that. Blood is blood, but let’s keep money matters clear, shall we? You can’t screw me over; I’m just a small-time worker at your company. You didn’t even pay me for being on standby as a security guard last time—are you playing tricks on me again? That’s really not how you should treat people, Boss!”

Lin Zifeng stared at Nangong Bing with the sort of look you’d give to an idiot, as if his expression alone conveyed utter disdain. It was even tinged with a hint of contempt.

”Lin, rest assured, am I, Nangong Bing, the kind of person who doesn’t pay back what I owe? Even if I did owe someone, would it be you?” Right after Nangong Bing lost her cool, this piece of work brought up money again. Even if she, Nangong Bing, was out of cash, would she owe money to a mere security guard? Backing up ten thousand steps, as the CEO of Tianyu Group, would she be short on money? This—is this some kind of international joke?

”Boss, words without proof mean nothing. I—I think you better sign something. Write an IOU or something; we security guards earn our living through hard work. Besides, Boss, it’s not like we’ve never written an IOU before. So, how about we write one again this time? What do you say?”

Lin, you bastard, all I asked was for you to buy me a plane ticket, do you have to be so stingy? Are you actually afraid that I, Nangong Bing, would cheat you out of your money? You eat my food, drink my drinks, stay in my place, and I haven’t nitpicked about anything before. Now, you’re haggling over money; do you even feel like a man anymore?

As a man, as a normal man, don’t you feel ashamed haggling over these petty things with a woman?

At this moment, Nangong Bing almost exploded with rage. She had seen shameless people before, but never someone as utterly shameless and thick-skinned as this, like the walls of a fortress.

”Holy moly, Boss, you can’t be serious, right? All I asked was for you to sign something, do you have to look so upset?” He was completely in character now, his smile growing ever more sinister, even showing a hint of contempt for Nangong Bing.

”You! Lin, I—I... ” As the CEO of Tianyu Group, when had she ever had a face-off with such a plebeian? When had such a lowly security guard ever looked down on her? Her pretty, jade-like face turned so red it almost seemed to drip, recalling how once, for her favor, countless brutish beasts would spare no expense. But in front of Lin Zifeng, Nangong Bing was suddenly worth nothing? Was this how you treat a beautiful woman? Could it be that this guy was actually into women? Or perhaps the childfree tribe?

A man who picks fights with women, is he psychologically twisted or just has convoluted views on love and thinking?

”What ’I’? You’re the one owing the money, Boss!” Lin Zifeng adopted a very serious demeanor, acting as if Nangong Bing owed him millions that she wasn’t paying back. He completely reversed their roles, truly putting himself on the pedestal. And when he got to the last two words, he deliberately bit them out with emphasis.

”I will pay you back; you can count on that.”

If it wasn’t for the fact that she didn’t bring much cash on this trip, and this guy wouldn’t accept checks or credit cards, Nangong Bing would never borrow money from him—borrowing money from him is just asking for trouble, pah! It should have been just asking him to do the favor of buying a plane ticket for her.

Nangong Bing was extremely upset inside. Having grown up used to the life of a young lady, she was now not accustomed to being contradicted like this.

”Heh heh, actually, Boss, you don’t have to get so angry. It’s totally normal for you to sign a note when lending money, right? Besides, there’s no strict separation between us, don’t you agree?”

This guy’s demeanor changed faster than the wind. Just a moment ago, he was dead serious about business, and now he switched to acting like a complete fool, throwing Nangong Bing a knowing look, his tone full of insinuation.

If it weren’t for the fact that he escorted her home safely tonight, she, Nangong Bing, would have had him thrown out of the hotel long ago.

”Lin, all you know is to kick a person when they’re down, what else can you do? Other than taking advantage of me, what can you do? I eat, drink, live, and use what’s mine at home, and I haven’t even bothered to argue with you about it. And now you actually have the audacity to ask me for money? What makes you think you have the courage to say that?”

Nangong Bing clenched her teeth with anger, her charming face almost radiating redness as if it could drip with beads of water, her porcelain white fingers pinched into an extremely pale state. She was only a hair’s breadth from directly punching the fellow.

If Lin Zifeng hadn’t been so excessive, she, Nangong Bing, wouldn’t have bothered to squabble with him so much. She, Nangong Bing, would never do anything to lose face and damage her reputation, but when pushed to the edge, none of that mattered anymore.

”Taking advantage of you? Damn! I, I mean, Miss CEO, that’s really unreasonable of you. When have I ever taken your advantage? You can’t just say that sort of thing willy-nilly! After all, I, Lin Zifeng, have been in the Martial Arts World for so many years. If people got wind of this, wouldn’t I lose face and status?”

”Ha, you’re worried about losing face now? If it wasn’t for you, would I, Nangong Bing, have to waste my breath on such nonsense? Let me tell you, Lin, your ability to stay in our company entirely depends on this lady backing you up. Without me, Nangong Bing, you would have been thrown out long ago. Do you know how many people you’ve offended?”

”I really don’t know.” Lin Zifeng answered honestly.

”You, you still think highly of yourself?” Nangong Bing crossed her arms and found it somewhat laughable. This Lin really thought he was something special. In just a few short months, nearly half of the company’s senior leadership had been offended by him. If it weren’t for my sake, he would have been swept out the door long ago, and now here he is, all smug and self-satisfied in front of me, not realizing how many people in the company can’t wait for him to leave.

Upon hearing Nangong Bing say this, Lin Zifeng wasn’t angry; after all, there were too many schemers in the company, and those he had offended were just some small-fry, so there was no need to care about them.

”Heh heh, then let me thank you first, Miss CEO.” Lin Zifeng said with a beaming smile, unaware that his eyes couldn’t help but wander over to Nangong Bing’s voluptuous and ample xx. Today, Nangong Bing dressed herself exceptionally radiant and ethereal, as she took this important project very seriously.

It seemed that Nangong Bing could feel Lin Zifeng’s greedy and lecherous gaze sweeping over her graceful xx, causing the anger that had just slightly subsided to flare up again instantly.

Especially in such a hotel where a man and a woman were alone together, if this beast really lost control, then even crying for help would be in vain, with neither heaven nor earth responding.

Her frosty eyebrows, coupled with her blooming, lotus-like face, became even more alluring.

”What are you looking at? Keep looking, and I’ll gouge them out!”

Nangong Bing glared at him fiercely, signaling with her intimidating gaze to retreat his impure thoughts.

”Uh, eyes are part of my body, is it deadly to take a look?” Lin Zifeng replied discontentedly.
