After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2295: Chapter 2299: Otherwise... He Will Die

”Alright.” Leng Zirui also knew they had heavy weapons, making an assault difficult, so he nodded immediately.

In such an urgent situation, there was no time for further reminders, the brothers exchanged a glance, and that said it all.

Leng Zirui took a deep breath, taking advantage of the shooting pause, he suddenly raised his gun and fired towards the door. Luo Ke and his subordinate immediately dodged, and using this opportunity, Leng Zimo planted his hands on the ground and sprang up, flipping over a bush and diving into the forest.

Having surveyed this small building countless times before, its surroundings were so familiar to him. He ran through the forest to the back of the building, quickly stripped off his suit and wrapped it around his arm, moved to a window at the back, listening to the barrage of gunshots in front, knowing Luo Ke and his men were retaliating, he immediately smashed his hand against the glass.

The glass shattered, and Leng Zimo swiftly knocked away the jagged fragments, diving out the small window.

At the entrance, Luo Ke shot in a sweep, only managing to strip away the bark of the tree where Leng Zirui was hiding, he pulled out a grenade from his body, bit off the pin, and threw it over.

The grenade hit the tree, bounced off, and exploded with a boom.

Leng Zirui dove to the side, Luo Ke pulled the trigger again, finding his gun empty, he tossed the big gun aside, reaching down to his waist for a handgun.

The bullet discharged, grazing by Leng Zirui’s side.

Leng Zirui turned back and fired a shot, hitting the subordinate’s arm precisely.

The subordinate hastily retreated, hiding behind the door, but no further gunshots rang out from outside.

Leng Zirui only had one handgun, the few bullets in it already spent.

”What? Out of bullets?!”

Luo Ke laughed as he walked out, casually pulling another shell from his body, with his subordinate dragging his gun and following behind.

Behind the bush, Leng Zirui glanced at his gun, his lips curling slightly.

”Luo Ke, my men will arrive soon. Killing me does you no good. Let’s make a deal: you give me a way out, and I’ll give you one too.”

Bang!

He raised his hand and threw the gun onto the grass, shouting loudly, ”Luo Ke, I know you’re smart, you must understand, without me, you can’t possibly leave this island alive.”

Luo Ke pursed his lips, ”Raise your hands and stand up, just like you asked before.”

Leng Zirui turned his head, peering through the leaves between the bushes to check the door’s direction.

Leng Zimo’s figure still hadn’t appeared.

Brother, can’t you hurry up?!

Whispering to himself, Leng Zirui slowly extended his hands, rising bit by bit from behind the bushes.

The wounded bodyguard saw him emerge and raised his gun to fire.

”Hold it!” Luo Ke shouted coldly.

Leng Zirui wasn’t wrong; him being here proved more reinforcements would soon arrive.

Right now, the helicopter on the island was damaged, escaping on the speedboat alone was impossible. If he wanted to leave alive, he’d need a hostage to negotiate with the police.

The Leng Family Brothers, undoubtedly the best choice.

”Where’s Leng Zimo?!” Luo Ke aimed his gun at Leng Zirui, shouting loudly.

Leng Zirui gestured with his chin towards the grass beside him, ”Next to me, he’s bleeding and needs treatment, or... he’ll die!”
