After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2254: Chapter 2258: The Taste Is Just Okay

”Stop the car!” Leng Zirui commanded a stop when they were still three or four streets away. ”Drive this car far away and get rid of it, then come back with a different car. Remember, don’t bring back any tails.”

He was always cautious and composed in his actions, even though they had successfully shaken off the pursuers, he was still uneasy, striving to minimize unexpected incidents as much as possible.

The matter involved Xu Xia, and he couldn’t be anything but exceedingly careful.

Leng Zirui went down the hill with Ah Ke to a convenience store by the street, bought some things, and handed them to Ah Ke to take back. He stayed at the store until Mount Tai drove the car into the traffic, before taking off his jacket and stepping out, turning into a small alley.

He cautiously made his way through several alleys and returned to the villa where Xu Xia lived.

Back on the second floor, he tried to open the door but found it locked tight. As Leng Zirui was about to knock, Xu Xia opened it from inside.

Seeing him alone when she opened the door, Xu Xia smiled, her lips curling up, ”Welcome back.”

”For you!” Leng Zirui handed her the ice cream and other food, then walked inside, casually closing the door behind him.

”Thank you.” Xu Xia pulled the items over and quickly started eating the ice cream without reservation.

Leng Zirui wrapped an arm around her waist, ”Is just a thank you enough?”

”What else, you want me to sell my soul for an ice cream?” Xu Xia glared at him, ”Dream on.”

Leng Zirui grinned, ”Let me have a taste, at least?”

Xu Xia scooped a spoonful of ice cream to his mouth, but as he opened his mouth to eat, she pulled it back and ate it herself, ”Don’t even think about it...”

Before she finished speaking, he sealed her lips with his own.

...

...

After a long while, he finally let her go, having not only taken the ice cream in her mouth but also profited greatly otherwise.

Xu Xia gasped for breath, her face flushed as she glared at him.

Leng Zirui only licked his lips with his tongue, ”The ice cream tastes alright.”

Xu Xia kicked him.

Little rascal, getting the better of her and still acting smug, how dare he say it’s only ”alright”?!

Leng Zirui caught her leg with his hand, ”My self-control is really low right now, don’t tempt me!”

Xu Xia glared at him, pulled her leg back, and spoke without teasing, ”How are things, going smoothly?”

Leng Zirui winked at her, ”Everything’s smooth, successful in both business and love.”

”Not serious at all.” Xu Xia dismissed him, sitting cross-legged back on the bed to eat ice cream.

After just two bites, Leng Zirui took the half-eaten ice cream box from her, ”Your stomach isn’t good, a couple of bites to satisfy the craving is enough, I’ll go heat a cup of milk for you.”

He knew she loved it, but her stomach couldn’t handle it, so he let her taste a bit but wouldn’t let her finish it all.

Xu Xia pouted, but didn’t insist, knowing he was doing it for her own good.

Leng Zirui left the room eating ice cream and returned shortly with a cup of hot milk, watching her finish it before glancing at his watch.

”Darling, get some good sleep later, I need to go out for a while.”

”Where to?” Xu Xia asked worriedly, uneasy about him going out so late.

”To the hotel to battle with a lover for three hundred rounds!” Leng Zirui replied with a serious face.

”You dare!” Xu Xia glared at him fiercely, then turned stern, ”Be careful.”
